Chapter -26
Ashton finds himself in a dark space. It was so dark you couldn't even see your hand in front of you. "Where am I? Wasn't I in my room sleeping just a moment ago?" He tried to look around, but even doing something so simple as turning around was meaningless it was like he was bound by chains but also not.
It was frustrating. "Hello? Is anyone here?" But no one answered it was so quiet, and that pitch darkness it was enough to make anyone go insane." Why am I here? Did I die? Did someone kill me? But how? My senses were on at the time I went to sleep."
How? How? How? How? How?
His voice cracked, and then it turned into laughter.
HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH.... HA!
"Even though I have died once, I didn't experience this. It was just a second dark, then I woke up in this world, it wasn't long."

Then suddenly, without warning, a blinding light erupted from nowhere, making him squint his eyes, but the light died down as quickly as it came.
"What was tha~~~~" his words stack in his throat before he can finish them. All of that is because of what he's seeing in front of him.
In front of him was a big dragon with beautiful dark scales adorning its body with beautifully crafted eyes with gold pupils and black slit-like pupils in the center of the eyes.
Those eyes are now open, looking at him with amusement Ashton shutter in the inside. "Isn't this the dragon we defeat? How is it alive?" Ashton thought while looking at it.
Then the dragon opened its mouth and spoke
"I can't believe I let you of all people defeat me,"
"Holy shit you can talk?" Ashton spoke before he can think, shocked at what he's hearing.
"Of course I can talk. Don't be so shocked.Why?
Did you think I was a mindless dragon?
Ashton, who was in a brick of a breakdown a moment ago, now forgotten, replied without hesitation. "I mean, you attacked us without warning, and you didn't even talk back then, so of course I thought you were a mindless dragon."
"Humans these days don't have respect for their gods. How disappointing" the dragon signs and looked at Ashton "But I will forgive you this once, " he said while laying down lazily.
"I will give you the permission to ask me questions," it says lazily. "OK, then first question, did I die?" Ashton asked.
"pfff~~~hahahahahaha, that joke is funny, I never lough this much in centuries. You have amused me today, and about your question, the answer is no, you are alive. I'm the one who's dead. "

Ashton was confused by this ,"Well, good for me. I'm starting to see ghosts now. So why am i here? Where am i really?" Ashton couldn't stop himself from asking the question.
"This is a mind space, no, to put in simple terms we're inside your mind space," the dragon spoke calmly, looking at Ashton,"I just wanted to speak to you before I disappear completely."
"---"
"I see. Then what did you want to talk about?" Ashton asked the dragon."Well, you seem to have calmed down now. That's good."
"Well, I wanted to talk to you about the future I saw." The dragon statement left Ashton dumbfounded. "Future? You can see the future?" Ashton was surprised by this.
"Yes, but not too far, just 2 years from now, so it's not that helpful." Ashton straightened slightly and asked."And? What did you see 2 years from now?"
"You will die in a battle against those aliens." The dragon answers while looking at Ashton's reaction. Ashton eyes widen for a moment, and then he calms down. "I see, so I will die." Then he looks at the dragon and asks again,"Will I win?"
The dragon signs and says in a disappointment tone, "I thought you would show a reaction or something, but I guess that's not an issue to you anymore." Then it waves one of its wings in dismissing gesture and say,"You will have to discover that on your own I won't tell you."
Then its body starts to disappear slowly "Well it seems my time here is over. I will be going to the other side of the world now."
Ashton was taken aback. "Do you mean the reverse side of the world? He asked. "Is that what they called it?" The dragon asked "Yes I think?"
Ashton answered.
"Well… it doesn't matter anymore. Goodbye, human who slew me. May Gaia protect you until your death."
With those final words, the dragon vanished completely.
Thud....
Ashton dropped to his knees, breathing slightly uneven. "That was a close call. If that dragon stayed any longer, I would have been broken in fear at its presence." Then he stood up, wiping his sweat on his forehead."Anyway, I should go back to reality now."
"If this is my mind space, I should be able to control it, right?" Then he started imagining a door that leads out of this place, then suddenly a door appeared in front of him, "well that's easier than I thought." Then he opened it, then darkness.
When he opened his eyes again, he was lying on his bed. He sits up slowly and starts looking at himself. "I'm really back. This is wonderful."
Then he looked out the window. "It seems time in this mind space doesn't exist. It's still dark outside… I should sleep." He lay back down and drifted off again.
But what he didn't notice was that his crimson-red eyes now had black, slit-like pupils—just like those of a dragon.
