I ran inside ,the door was already broken open.
Inside, chaos awaited me.
Cecilia lay on the floor.
My body was frozen.
Her clothes were torn. Bruises marked her skin. Men stood around her laughing, pulling up their trousers and buckling them. It was as if what they had done was nothing more than a joke. My vision blurred as my face burned with a mixture of rage and horror.
Across the room, my mother was being held by the throat. Her feet barely touched the ground. Tears streamed down her face as she struggled to breathe.
"Please," she choked, her voice trembling yet loud enough for everyone to hear. "Take the house. Take my shop. Take all our money. I beg you. Just let my children go. Please."
Something inside me shattered as I lifted my gaze to the man standing at the center of it all. The one who had orchestrated every nightmare my family had endured. The source of our suffering. The reason my life had been nothing but pain. The man who forced my father to become a monster.....
I screamed.
"What the hell are you doing, Otis?"
The tall, muscular man in the dark suit turned slowly. A malicious smile spread across his face as his eyes locked onto mine.
"You don't have to shout," he said calmly. "I can hear you just fine, Harrison James."
In that moment Otis was emotionless as he had a devilish grin while he choked Christine's throat. His eyes locked on Harrison, anticipating his next move.
"People always have 3 ways to respond to new situations...." Otis thought while watching Harrison as Christine muttered with tears running down her cheeks.
"...First they access the situation and if it's something overwhelming they freeze .... not knowing what to do and if it's something they can't handle they run but..." Otis finally spoke to Harrison as he faced him.
"What am I doing? I'm only here for what is mine..... and I don't think you or anyone should have the guts to ask me such childish questions..."
"Why...?" Harrison spoke with his head bowed down in anger as his fists shook. His muscles were visible.
"Why?? I just told you....." Otis began as Harrison's fist appeared in front of his face. One of the men in black reflexively tackled him on the floor, pinning him to the ground as Otis dropped Christine and stepped backwards.
"Whoa that was a close one...." Otis said while adjusting his coat.
"Stay down boy!" the officer pinning him down said. He placed the barrel of a rifle on his neck. "One move and you're dead." He restrained Harrison on the floor with one arm.
"What do you want from us Otis! why did you come here...." Harrison's voice lowered as he whispered. "Haven't you taken enough from us already!"
"Um ... what if I say no, whatcha gonna do?" Otis said as he walked up to Cecilia, dragging her hair upwards.
"Let her go!!!" Harrison said while struggling under the man.
"oh Cecilia...you look as beautiful as ever...i mean i really enjoyed tasting every single last inch of you my dear..." he said. He placed his fingers on her breast as he whispered in her ear....
"I love making you scream countless times and being rough with you always... hehehe" he said as he squeezed her breasts.
"Get away from me you bastard!!" she said as she spat on his face.
"You bitch...you don't learn do you!!" he said as he slapped her face and punched her, throwing her against the wall.
"Otis Stop please stop ...i don't know what you want but...leave my children alone...." Christine said. She summoned courage as she stood on her feet.
"Well now that you mention it i come here with one offer and your future depends entirely on your own decision" he said. He wiped his face with a tissue and gestured to another man in black. The man came out with a file in his hand.
"Its been a while Mrs James or should i say... Christine...."
"That voice... this familiar feeling...., who is this person..." Christine's body shuddered in his presence.
"You're..... Dr. Bright what are you doing here?" Christine said. She got up on her feet as her legs trembled....
"Oh I'm a hired lawyer actually" Bright said. He adjusted his collar as he faced the family.
