Chapter 25 - Chapter 25

The scene opened at New Heights Academy where Lucian Stark was in his office.

"The weather is rather rainy tonight. I hope it stops," Lucian said as he looked out from the balcony.

"Well I think it should. I mean, we all want to go home, don't we?" Lillian replied, adjusting her glasses.

"What do you think of conducting energy? Yes, we would go home as soon as the rain stops, but I have to perform a kind of experiment," Lucian said as he picked up a long iron blade.

"I didn't know you liked using swords. What are you going to use it for?" Lillian asked with curiosity, folding her arms.

"Don't worry, Lilly. I am just going to use it to draw the lightning and redirect a storm," Lucian explained as he checked his watch.

The scene shifted to Ckadvantus Pendula where Kairos was speaking with his officials and Stephen Stones as they watched the timeline of Earth. On the screen, Johnson could be seen crying.

"Seems my son is more melancholic and outspoken than predicted," Kairos said while watching.

Stephen's chest tightened.

"Yes he is, but you do not expect Rose to be this seriously hurt. Please, let's save them," Stephen pleaded, turning to Kairos.

"Well as you wish I will save both of them and keep them alive, but you must take responsibility if things go wrong. I would not want another lost time variant running across the time stream," Kairos warned.

"Yes, I will. I will take full responsibility," Stephen promised, then snapped his fingers.

"En tibi, per vetustam voluntatem, Chrono Desmos Aeternum vinculum quod nullus deus solvere potest."

A blast of cosmic energy left Stephen's index finger, crossing the time stream and heading straight toward Earth.

Meanwhile on Earth, a few minutes before this, Joyce was at her home in Hub City reading a book.

"What are you doing, sis?" Henry asked while playing a video game on his console.

"I am preparing for our test tomorrow," Joyce replied, but suddenly she felt a chill in her spine. She closed the book, sweating nervously. "Oh no."

"What happened? Did James send you another annoying text?" Henry asked, his voice filled with concern.

"No, Henry. Check the news," Joyce said urgently.

Henry groaned. "I can't pause an online game. I'm in the middle of it," he complained, still focused on his console.

"Whatever, just pause it and let me check the news," Joyce snapped.

Henry was surprised. He never expected his sister to sound this worried. Out of love for her, he paused his game and switched the screen to the news. "Fine, I am just doing this because something must really be going on," Henry said, his face showing uncertainty.

The television flickered to life. A composed yet urgent female voice filled the air, accompanied by shaky aerial footage of rubble and smoke rising into the sky.

"Breaking news out of Voyage City, Texas," the newscaster announced, her eyes grave under the studio lights. "Moments ago, Star Clinic Hospital was destroyed in what officials are calling a high-level beta-human confrontation. According to early reports, two unidentified beta-human teenagers were seen engaging a classified Level 3 Xenomorph near the facility. The battle, which witnesses described as violent and chaotic, led to widespread destruction across multiple city blocks."

Footage showed shattered buildings, cracked roads, and civilians running for safety. Then, for a moment, a figure appeared. A young boy, bruised and bloodied, was seen guiding panicked people into a reinforced door that led to the Voyage City Underground Bomb Shelter.

"Hey, I know that boy. He looks just like…" Henry's eyes widened in realization. "Johnny," he gasped.

"You sure?" Joyce asked as she continued watching.

"Of course. I would recognize the face of my rival anywhere. And that empty face," Henry said confidently.

Joyce did not reply. She kept her eyes on the news.

"Eyewitnesses report that the injured youth, despite his condition, moved with unnatural speed, transporting hospital patients and residents to safety in the blink of an eye," the reporter continued. "Many say he moved so fast they could only describe it as Quickly."

There was a pause.

"The second beta-human involved was a blue-haired teenage girl who single-handedly held off the Xenomorph. Her identity remains unknown. However, it is now confirmed that the creature was neutralized through the joint effort of the two young fighters. While their names remain undisclosed, their actions likely prevented hundreds of civilian casualties."

The news feed switched to a weather update. Overhead footage displayed the translucent dome covering Voyage City, separating it from the outside environment, as rain streaked across its glowing surface.
