Alvida shouted. As Sunny got closer, she could see the sheer size of the ship.
She was amazed how such a ship arrived in the East Blue. But seeing that only one thin guy was standing on the deck, she was relieved.
Thinking, it was just one person.
The moment they started firing again, Luffy frowned and bloated his body, sucking a large amount of air into his stomach.

The cannonballs struck his stomach. There were three more cannonballs this time. But when they collided with his stomach, they were pushed back.

Those cannonballs flew towards Alvida's ship and crashed into her ship.

Alvida sighed a breath of relief when she heard him. She was worried that he was going to be her enemy.

"Coby, tell him, who is the most beautiful woman in the world?"
Coby was stunned after getting dragged by such a question. He heavily gulped as he stammered.

Luffy immediately recognized the name since it was a part of the quest.
Then, he suspiciously stared at his cowering attitude and turned toward Alvida, asking.
"Then, are you Alvida?"
Alvida felt annoyed by his interruption, so she decided to answer it herself.
"Yes, I am the most beautiful woman in the world, Alvida."
"Pfffft!"
Luffy spat out as he held back his laughter. He couldn't believe someone so ugly could say those outrageous things.
"Sorry, I don't mirror. You should find on and look at it. You are the ugliest woman I've ever seen. Even Dadan is more womanly than you."
"Ptttf! Hahahaha!"
The orange-haired girl couldn't stop laughing when she heard that. But she quickly realized her situation and closed her eyes with a miserable expression.

Alvida angrily gripped her iron mace. She wanted to destroy Luffy with it.
"You brat…. Die for your insolence!"
She also wanted to attack Nami, but she believed that she should take down Luffy first.
Seeing her attack, Luffy stepped sideways and dodged.

He punched the first pirate, kicked the second, uppercutted the third, smashed the head of the fourth, and finally smashed all of them at once with a leg sweep.

Gear 1 represented his base strength and control over his rubber body. It was also the only ability with the highest rank.
