Chapter 1 - GRAVEBOUND PART 1

Bloodsteel Hunter

Pilot Episode – Level One God

The first sensation was pain.

Not human pain. Not something born from skin or nerves. This was the scream of metal tearing against itself, the hiss of molten iron poured into a mold that never cooled. His body shivered with the sound of steel grinding, his skin rippling like liquid mercury—flowing, shifting, alive.

He opened his eyes to a void of black. Neon-red lights hovered before him, lines of code twisting into words across the air.

[System Activation: Multiversal Bounty Protocol]

[Status: Level 1 God]

[Permanent Traits: Infinite Stamina | Infinite Ammo]

[Core Ability: Liquid Steel Body Manipulation]

His lips curled into something cruel. His voice was calm, dead, dripping disdain.

"So that's what I am. A fucking program with a pulse."

Steel rippled from his wrist, pouring outward, shaping into a blade—sleek, narrow, a weapon meant for throats and shadows. It wasn't carried. It wasn't forged. It was him.

Rules of Damnation

More words bled across the void.

• One kill equals one level. Permanent.

• Only bounty kills count. Anything else is wasted blood.

• All beings resurrect in twenty-four hours. Even gods.

• Level displays beneath every hunter's feet. Visible. Inescapable.

• Every level increases speed. The faster the level, the faster the being.

No limit. No ceiling. No end.

He exhaled, and silver steam leaked from his mouth. His eyes, blank silver pools, stared at the system without interest.

"Level one… Guess that means I'll be slaughtering my way up the ladder."

The First Contract

The void rumbled. A new alert flared across his vision.

[New Bounty Contract: Vampire Lord of Hollow Eclipse]

[Target Level: 78]

[Reward: +1 Permanent Level]

[Mission Mode: Random Crew Hunt]

Circles of light flared around him. One after another, hunters appeared—men, women, monsters, half-breeds. Twenty in all. Their levels burned beneath their boots: 12, 23, 45… even a 67.

And then there was him. A fresh spawn. Level 1.

Murmurs spread like wildfire.

"Who the hell threw a Level 1 into this raid?"

"He'll get shredded before the first scream."

"Another god-born? They never last long. Arrogant pricks."

He ignored them, blade dripping liquid steel that sizzled as it touched the floor. His pale eyes moved across the group, bored, annoyed.

"Talk again," he muttered, voice flat, "and I'll split your skulls just to hear the echo."

The hunters shifted uneasily. He wasn't strong—not yet—but death clung to him like smoke.

The portal opened with a roar, pulling them forward into a bleeding sky.

World of the Vampire Lord

The air reeked of rot. Scarlet moons glared down, spilling light across jagged castles that stabbed into the heavens. Rivers of blood ran between ruins. Thralls wailed in the distance, half-dead, half-starved.

The hunters spread into formation. A lean man at Level 23 snarled over his shoulder.

"You. Level One. Stay behind me. You'll just slow us down."

The god didn't look at him. His blade flicked once, silver light splitting the air. The man's head dropped before the others even saw him move.

The HUD stayed silent. No level gained.

He chuckled. "So the rules weren't bullshit."

The hunters froze, staring. Not a single one dared speak again.

The Target

The cathedral at the center of the world cracked open. From the rubble rose the Vampire Lord of Hollow Eclipse, black cloak dripping shadows, fangs slick with gore.

His level—78—glowed like fire beneath his feet.

The air trembled with his aura. Stone cracked. Hunters faltered, already panicking, already planning their retreat.

The steel god only smiled. His blade melted into liquid, reforming as claws that curled around his hands. His voice was calm, a whisper edged with violence.

"Finally. Something worth killing."

The First Clash

The Vampire Lord blurred forward, faster than lightning. Two hunters vanished in sprays of blood, their bodies torn apart before they could scream.

The Level 1 god didn't move. His skin rippled, body splitting open as liquid steel parted to let the claws pass through. The vampire's strike cut air.

The god countered instantly, steel spikes bursting upward from the ground in jagged waves. The vampire twisted, dodging most—but not all. His cloak shredded, black fabric hissing as it hit the blood-soaked stones.

"You reek of creation's mistakes," the vampire hissed, eyes burning crimson.

The god tilted his head. "And you reek like a whore's coffin. Guess we're even."

The vampire roared, vanishing and reappearing in front of him. Claws slashed. He twisted, his liquid body flowing, blades forming mid-spin. Sparks burst as steel scraped fang.

The other hunters tried to join in, spells flashing, arrows flying. They were torn apart instantly. Screams echoed through the cathedral as the vampire slaughtered them like livestock.

The god never glanced their way. They weren't comrades. They were background noise.

Blood and Steel

His claws retracted, forming a new blade—longer, heavier. He slashed upward, carving across the vampire's jaw. Black blood spilled across the air.

The Vampire Lord backhanded him through a stone wall. His body splattered into liquid steel, scattering like mercury. For a heartbeat, he was nothing but puddles.

Then the liquid drew back together, reforming into his body. His silver eyes glowed as he wiped blood—his own metallic blood—from his mouth.

"You hit like a drunk bitch." His smirk widened, cruel. "Try again."

The vampire snarled, unleashing power that crushed the ground. The entire cathedral collapsed, dust and rubble exploding outward. Hunters screamed and died beneath the weight.

The god stood amidst the ruin, unbroken, blade humming in his hand.

Cliffhanger

The Vampire Lord rose from the smoke, his aura now monstrous, blood magic warping the sky into a storm of crimson.

The god only laughed, low and bitter. His silver eyes never blinked, never softened.

"Let's dance, corpse. One of us is walking out with a shiny new level."

The HUD pulsed across his vision.

[Mission Active: Target Power at 78%]

The fight was far from over.
