Chapter 7 - Chapter Seven: The New Age

Back at Ego Elysium, the gods were holding another meeting to discuss the current state of their world, in the middle of the meeting, the right hand of the All Father himself Spadion appeared, surprising the gods, except Nea Zoi who was resting his head on the table, missing when Spadion appeared, "father… I mean, your holiness, what are you doing here, is everything okay back at the heavens, is this about the dragon god" asked Bios with a puzzled expression…. "breathe son, I see you all still have your guard up" ..… "of course we do Spadion, Pluto has put our world in chaos again, and this time he is using one of our children as a pone… he is taking over again, succeeding in his plans, and this time we are powerless to stop him, cause we can't interfere with anything on earth as part of the ultimate rule… I've never felt so powerless before" said Nous looking really frustrated and angry…. "I understand how you feel dear Nous, how all of you feel, you all fought so hard to protect the world entrusted to you by the All Father, and to watch it plummeting again with you not able to help will never be easy, I understand that feeling trust me young ones… but do not fret, am here with some news I hope will lift your spirits, direct from the All Father" said Spadion while taking a sit… "it's going to be a lot of work right… sigh, looks like my stay-cation is reaching it's climax" said Nea Zoi with disappointment in his voice… "sigh… what am I going to do with you Nea Zoi" said Meta…. "ahahahah.. I see you are still as jolly as ever Nea Zoi….. now listen well young ones, in light of the recent distress going on in universe Alpha, on the Father Earth… earth #1, we the council of elder gods, with the approval of the All Father have decided to implement a change to ultimate rule sub number #2124, and we have hereby approved the use of soul energy manipulation for the next generation of humans in universe Alpha, Earth #1, effective immediately" said Spadion with ascendancy in his voice, upon hearing what Spadion said the other gods was frozen in shock, not knowing how to react with the news they had just received…. "you're saying the All Father really agreed to that?!" asked Nous with a surprised and puzzled look on her face… "I can't believe it, we have a fighting chance" said Zoe almost with tears…. "no no no no no, I do not accept this, you guys shouldn't either" Desmos argued … "what do you mean Desmos?" asked Meta looking confused, with Nea Zoi also lifting his head from it's resting position to listen to the basis of Desmos objections… "are you kidding!! (said Desmos while slamming his fist on the table and standing up)… we've worked so hard to make our world as peaceful as it is, we've been praised for having less war, less greed and less corruption on our earth in all the universes controlled by the All Father, we accepting this changes will get rid of all that, our children will be in danger" said Desmos strongly against it…. "I understand what you're saying Desmos but if we don't do anything our children will be whipped out either way, this is at least an option to help them survive" said Nous… "if we grant them soul energy manipulation Nous, trust me they will be in greater danger…. power blinds, power corruption, power destroys love, and giving them that will definitely make them lose what makes them human… their heart" said Desmos with a submissive tone, the other gods fell silent cause they saw the truth in Desmos words and saw the sincerity in his eyes… "you are right Desmos, but it's a risk we just have to take, it's Pluto we are up against… he is ruthless Desmos, you and I and everyone else here knows his plans isn't going to stop on just our world, this is the only option we have to at least slow him down until we think of a better plan to get him… please Desmos, let try it" said Nous moving towards Desmos… "if I may interject… think of it this way Desmos, you gods get to chose who the human you see worth of your personal abilities.. the rarest of abilities, to stop the corrupt humans this new rule might create and not only that, the rule only allows just one ability for every human, but you are the only ones that gets to choose the one that can use more than one ability if you like… the ones you see as worthy to have more than one… and also you get to choose someone you want to act as a hero to protect the world" said Spadion, the other gods looked glad after hearing those words from Sapdion, even Desmos face start having color again as he was feeling relaxed again… "sigh… you guys really want to do this yeah? (the other gods nodded in approval) sigh okay, okay, it is looking like our only option right now… am sure if or when the time of my fears come we will solve it" said Desmos with a smile… "thank you Desmos we will solve anything that transpires, together" ..… "okay guys this is a touching moment and all but you are missing something really important his holiness Spadion said" interrupted Nea Zoi… "sigh… I saw this coming… okay downer what's the bad news you noticed" said Meta with an exasperated look on her face… "well it's really obvious, his holiness Spadion said the new rule takes effect with the next generation of humans, so, what about now, what we are trying to stop is happening right now, who do we have to stop it… we can't wait till a baby gets old enough, or a child to fully master the abilities, would be too late by then, besides who would help said child to understand and grow with the ability" said Nea Zoi… "oh yeah, the lazy god is right" said Zoe… "yeah, that's rare.. but I guess it happens even with Nea Zoi" agreed Nous… "hey come on, I have feelings you know, sigh.. anyway, does anyone have any ideas" asked Nea Zoi …. "I have one" said Desmos, the other gods turned their gaze to Desmos… "tell us" ..… "well I suggest we reincarnate someone I've had my eyes on for a really long time, I over saw his birth, I gave him to his father as a gift cause he was the kindest human I've ever seen, I made sure I gave him a son that has a heart of gold as he did" said Desmos smiling to himself .. "sound delightful" said Zoe… "so who is he" asked Meta… "he is the first son of the former emperor of the DYNASTY of MENSSAI Richard Von Menssai" said Desmon… "seriously, you want to reincarnate the brother of Pluto's pone?" asked Nea Zoi… "trust me, he is the best option and also I picked him cause his has a really strong bond with his brother, maybe, just maybe he might get through to him" ..… "are you serious right now Desmos?! you saw that kid, he isn't the same person his brother once knew, he is a Demi god, he has Pluto's divine energy and blood running through him, he is far from being a human, and you think the brother he hasn't seen for three years will change something like that??… I don't think it's a good idea Desmos" argued Nea Zoi while raising his head from it's sleeping position… "I know, you've made a lot of point Nea Zoi, but that Empire needs to be liberated too, and they need someone to have fate in, to give them hope, to remind them of their previous emperor, that's honestly the biggest reason I have to pick him… just trust me" said Desmos confidently while staring at Nea Zoi…. "I can't believe I wasted 000.2% of my energy arguing and still lost"… "jeez what did you expect, with that low of an effort" said Meta with a sigh… "sigh, fine but answer this one question Desmos… what would we do if he can't bring himself to battle his dear little brother, you said it yourself, they have a very close bond, so what happens then Desmos" asked Nea Zoi staring intensely at Desmos… "hey Meta, is it just me or does Nea Zoi seem different, like scary" whispered Zoe… "we call him lazy, and he act like he doesn't care but Nea Zoi is very committed to our children on earth he always has their best interest, that's what makes him amazing" replied Meta… "well Nea Zoi, if it's the kid I know, which am confident I do, then he would do anything for his people, if he tries getting through to his brother and he fails, am confident he will do everything to stop him, for his people, that's how his father was" replied Desmos with confidence and believe in his eyes, staring straight back at Nea Zoi… "sigh… okay Desmos am backing off cause I trust you… I have no objections anymore" said Nea Zoi while placing his head back at it's resting position…. "jeez, that was so intense, I've never seen Nea Zoi get so passionate about any topic that has to do with our children on earth, gave me goosebumps" said Nous to Bios… "I know right, chills (replied Bios)…. well I agree with Nea Zoi, if Desmos have this much faith in him then I won't object to it too… lets reincarnate him" said Bios in approval with the other gods nodding in agreement… "good.. now that that's settled I also came here for another reason" said Spadion… "what is it your holiness Spadion?" ..… "it's about the dragon god" said Spadion the other gods turned their gaze on him expecting a devastating news "yes father?" said ..… "we need to borrow Nea Zoi" said Spadion staring at Nea Zoi who's head was back on it's sleeping position… "WHAT!! WHY!?" screamed the other gods, simultaneously… "uh? Who" said Nea Zoi in a sleepy voice… bang bang!! "owww!!" screamed Nea Zoi… "what is 'uh, who' you crazy lazy god… what did you do this time" said Meta with an agitated tone… "but I didn't do anything Meta, you guys know how lazy I am, where would I get the strength or will to do anything, much less think about doing anything without being forced to" replied Nea Zoi touching the bum on his head… "oh yeah, you have a point… I guess I should apologize uh?" said Meta… "well…. am waiting for that apology?!" ..… "don't push your luck, be happy I admitted I was wrong" said Meta, giving Nea Zoi a dead look… "what an evil goddess" said Nea Zoi with fear in his voice… "talk about being saved by being languorous" said Bios to Nous… "I guess being lazy has finally come through for him… oh Nea Zoi never change" said Nous trying to hold in a laugh… "ahahah… don't worry young Meta, Nea Zoi might be the god of death but he is as innocent as they come, trust me, even the All Father, wants him to really act like the god of death but in the end he gave up, ahahah" said Spadion while making his way towards Nea Zoi… "jeez, at lease wait till am not in the room guys" said an embarrassed Nea Zoi…. "why do you need me anyway" .…. "listen well young ones, what am about to say to you now only I and the All Father knows about it, and he asked me to pass it on to you since you gods are involved too… no one else knows about this, and the All Father himself asked for you to never let it leave our cycle… do I have your word young gods" said Spadion with a very serious tone and thick aura around him… "yes Spadion… this is our world we are talking about, it doesn't concern anyone else… it will never leave our cycle" said Nous with a very serious look of her own, with the other gods nodding in agreement… "good… (clears throat) the Greater Dragon also known as the dragon of last days, Teleftaia Mera, has delivered the dragon god, an energetic male dragon (the other gods faces turn sour with a serious look) she is also fine and recovering well, but with no memories of ever having an offspring, I think that's because of the measures Pluto took to make her fertile… the All Father feels it's best that way, she will be sent home when she is fully recovered… and also in light of the rule chance on your earth, I and the All Father talked about it after the elder gods meeting extensively, and the All Father wants to adopt the dragon god… and make him the hero of your world, and maybe all worlds if it comes to that… the being to stop Pluto once and for all" ..… "you mean, like the All Father actual descendant!!!… a dragon god!!" asked Nous with all kinds of shock on her face… "will that really work, your holiness Spadion?" "if this really works it will be a huge step for all life" said Desmos… "oh yes young ones, nothing is impossible for the All Father, he has already extracted the divine energy of Pluto and replaced it with his, just as Pluto did with the human back on earth, the All Father did that with the dragon god, but this followed the right protocol, with no risks attached, cause it was done by the only person with the authority to do it… that dragon god is different, he now has the All Father's blood and divine energy running through him… he is his son, maybe heir… and the All Father wants to use him as a beacon to end the hostilities between us and the dragon gods" ..… "seriously! Those things are dangerous, they should have been destroyed" said Bios with a panicked voice… "ohh son, the All Father might be all powerful, but he is mostly all loving, he could never bring himself to destroying any living thing under his domain…. that's why he is the All Father my son" said Spadion with a warm smile.. "sigh, you are right, so that's one of the reasons his about to have a dragon god as a legitimate son" said Bios in a submissive tone… "hmmm… this is a big problem" said Nous… "what do you mean Nous" asked Meta… "if the dragon gods are still alive, what if Pluto finds out or what if he already knows, which would be why he never looked bothered even after we took Mera" said Nous with a serious tone… "oh Pluto definitely knows they are still alive but he doesn't know where, the All Father feels it's only a matter of time before he finds out, that's why he made this choice, and also…. dragon god or not, it's still an innocent child" said Spadion…. "he has already though of everything, that's the All Father for you" said Nous… "well that covers the whole explanation except I still don't know why you need me, your holiness Spadion" said Nea Zoi staring... "oh right Nea Zoi, in light of your contribution in the fight against Pluto, the All Father has chosen you to give the blessing of you divine ability and protection to his son" ..… "in other words… the All Father has chosen Nea Zoi to be his son's guardian?" said Nous while locking eyes with the other gods then they all burst out laughing… "I can't believe Nea Zoi was picked by the All Father for an important task as that" said Zoe with a laugh… "am sorry your holiness Spadion but, are you sure it's Nea Zoi the All Father asked for?.. I mean, it's Nea Zoi we are talking about… look at him (they all glanced at Nea Zoi whom returned an uninterested stare back at them.. "what?"… he said) he should have been the god of laziness not death" said Meta with an exasperated look on her face… "jeez guys, why do you always act like am not in the room when you talk about me, I have feelings you know…sigh… anyways your holiness Spadion, as rude as it may sound from them, they are still right, I don't have the will or energy to do something that important" said Nea Zoi with a sigh… "Nea Zoi… raise, (he stood up) dear child you have been chosen by the All Father himself… he knows you better than anyone dear Nea, and he says you can, so seize your worries about letting the All Father down… yes I do know you were truly worried about that, trust the All Father… trust yourself" said Spadion with an intense look in his eye… "his holiness is right Nea Zoi… you might be lazy, and act like you don't care but you Nea, you are the most reliable god I have ever known, the All Father chose you for a reason, and am sure he also agrees with me here… you will be perfect Nea Zoi" said Meta with a deep caring stare, which sent Nea Zoi's heart racing… "yes Nea Zoi… you have honestly been the most hard working god among all of us for the pass few weeks.. you've truly got this" added Nous, with the other gods nodding in full agreement… "sigh… okay, okay.. your holiness Spadion, am ready, I accept… if this mean gods can be this nice to me, which is weird, I have to milk it more, don't I" said Nea Zoi with a smile… "ah jeez, what have we done, sigh" said Meta with a tired expression… "excellent Nea Zoi we will be leaving soon, in the main time we should focus on the reincarnation, that should come first to help at least slow Pluto down just as you young ones said" said Spadion while creating some distance from the others ..… "excellent… Nea Zoi I'll be back for you when we're ready… and to the rest of you, good luck" said Spadion as his snapped his fingers and disappeared.
