The cafeteria fell silent as PD Kwon stepped to the microphone, his predatory smile widening with each passing second.
"I'm pleased to announce our first mandatory midweek evaluation."
My chopsticks froze halfway to my mouth. Beside me, Yuhyun's jaw tightened visibly.
"The evaluation is two days from now. Each team will perform their songs in front of the judges and other teams. You'll receive live feedback on stage presence, vocals, and teamwork."
Hushed whispers rippled through the room. Jisoo leaned forward, eyes wide with panic.
"But wait, there's more."
Of course there was.
"Final line distributions and formations must be submitted the day after evaluation. Once submitted, they're locked in permanently. No changes allowed afterward."
The cafeteria erupted into frantic murmurs. Chairs scraped against the floor as trainees turned to each other in barely contained panic.
My mind raced. Haejun had assigned me the center vocal, but nothing was officially submitted yet.
