Talia's POV
The morning had started out better than most. I woke up to a quiet house, sunlight pouring through the curtains like warm honey, and for once, I didn't feel the urge to rush anywhere. My phone wasn't buzzing nonstop, no one was calling my name, and it almost felt like the universe was telling me to take a break.
So, I listened.
I decided today was going to be about me. No meetings. No events. No trying to prove a point. Just me, myself, and a little bit of pampering. That's how I ended up booking a spa session.
The thought of lying down on a massage table, letting someone else take away the knots in my body, felt like the best decision I had made in weeks. My head had been so full lately, thoughts of Belle, the family, the endless gossip, and the constant judgment. Everywhere I turned, it felt like someone had something to say about me, something sharp enough to leave a mark. I was tired of pretending I didn't care.
The spa was my escape.
