A new college was to be built in the heart of the town. During this process many parents who were government officials thought that it would be wise if they had relocated their teenage kids to that school once it was completely structured.
The school being a government owned property was to be properly designed with facilities, structures just perfect.
Sporting equipment for various games any game you can think of allocations were made specifically for them
Parents who worked with the government couldn't wait just because it was announced that all government officials who had kids in that school,
there was going to be little or no tuition fee, only their feeding fees as the school was going to be a boarding school.
The project was taking a bit of time this was two months already after the government had exposed it's blue print concerning the schools' matter
The school project was ongoing...
A parent who was a senior staff of the government, an administrator. He had thought it be wise if his daughter schooled there
cause this would be a big relief to him both financially and academically, cause he was sure that government schools often offer better services than private organizations.
He calculated the time his daughter was to move to a new class and it rhymed with when the project was to be completed
He also did his path by talking to parents who had kids of the same age within that environment the school was to be built at, on benefits of enrolling their wards there.
This young government officials' name was Jawn George. He was happily married to Mrs. Linda George. Both lived happily and had two kids Mark George and Hilda George
Hilda was his favorite, although he never disliked Mark as he was also his child, Mr. Jawn always goes an extra mile to see that Hilda gets what ever she wants
He always thought to himself how Hilda would feel when she knew that he had plans of Changing her school..
He always wondered if she would welcome the idea or decline, well he said to himself she once mentioned in her second year that she wanted to school somewhere else at least just to make new friends and also for new experiences
Well he said to himself seems like you must wait until the school project is completed just so that she also can reach the end of her third year in highschool, which is finishing highschools' first stage
However Mrs. Linda was a trader, she owned a grocery store, within the same location the high school was to be built
All these gave Mr. Jawn motivation and he indeed was confident within himself that he was making the right choice and so therefore he decided to open up to his wife
At evening, late in the night though his children were far asleep. His wife welcomed him home taking off his coat
He loved this coat very much cause it went with almost every pair of pants he had. Mrs Linda soon tucked the coat on a hanger placed it hanging and ran off to serve him
While she served him she noticed his countenance changed why did it change so speedily she thought to her self hoping to give him audience after the meal
Just to give him enough time to enjoy himself and speak up properly. A lot of thoughts ran through her mind within this short period of time as she had never seen her husband in such a state
Before she finished serving Mr. Jawn said please sit I would love to share something quite important to you
Her thoughts travelled up the mountains and down the plains, her heart even skipped a beat when he mentioned it was a serious issue and they both needed to take a very delicate decision
I am all ears said Mrs. Linda as she sat down directly opposite her husband, she hastily prepared her mind to receive any news, the good the bad and the ugly.
Before Mr. Jawn even started speaking she said this hardly happens so if it's happening then it must really be serious
On the other hand Mr. Jawn was already composing himself on how he would present the issue and how to make it look palatable to her
She had this mentality right from teenage hood that whatever services were rendered by the government were for the poor
especially those that had to do with basics of life like education, healthcare...
so Mr. Jawn knew he really had to shoot a nice shot in other to kill the bird
He now spoke softly saying honey it's about Hilda, "Hilda" and what did she do this time she spoke in a haste
Am worried cause I as a father would love to give my children the best I could afford
At least in the basics of life. Mrs. Linda took a deep breath in but did not utter a word as Mr. Jawn kept on speaking
He stressed a point saying he could afford Mrs. Linda knowing very well he would go any length just for Hilda
was anticipating to hear his plan. The government has proposed a boarding highschool project
Which construction is already in progress you know me very well I don't
Just speak about stuff, I must have cross checked, and examined a lot placing checks and balances
I went through their blueprint, it's okay honey and infact I would love Hilda to be a part of that great institution
She is my only daughter and I would love to give her the best a father of my caliber would give
So therefore I thought it wise to let you know and also her your contribution on this matter
I am bringing this issue up quite early so that we won't rush in taking decisions
At this point Mrs. Linda chipped in saying were you convinced by Hilda to take this decision?
She asked knowing fully well that whenever she wanted something impossible she would charm her father to doing that
No I swear on my left toe!! He screamed suspicion began well it's fine she said, I mean you're her dad and
I know that you want the very best for her certainly but be just careful in making your decisions
And if you're really careful and extra careful especially then there is no issue I have agreed beside it's close to my shop
If am not mistaking, yes of course said Mr. Jawn and even transport and other bills will definitely be slashed down
So that's the reason you were looking troubled? Yes honey he replied am even shocked you agreed so hastily
well I would never wish any of our children bad you know that the reason why I do not really prefer government
stuff is cause they are usually very crowded and sometimes you don't get the chance to enjoy them properly.
Well your plan is really nice I must confess, but let's wait until we also hear from Hilda and sure that will be tomorrow.
