Chapter 310 - Conqueror: Working Man

"Damn it! Do you know who I am? Do you know the consequences of doing this? You're finished!"

Pushed out of the gate of light, Loki cursed and threatened. He arrived at a magnificent hall, where the fully-armed warriors who had been holding him released him.

"Of course I know who you are, Loki, a potential criminal!" said a burly warrior.

"What did you do to me?" Loki, who tried to escape, was forcibly brought back to his original place by some force many times. He turned his head to look at the female warrior who caught him and asked in surprise.

"Have you seen this device? It's a collar with a time loop function. Don't even think about running away. No matter how far you run, I can control you to go back to before you ran." The soldier being questioned pushed him and said bluntly.

"Take him to change his clothes and stand trial by the judge." The female warrior signaled to the warriors behind Loki with her eyes.

"Wait, you have to at least tell me who you are? And where exactly is this place?" Loki, who was being lifted up by the shoulders on both sides and dragged forward, moved forward involuntarily while struggling to turn his head and shouted to the female warrior who was standing in the same place and was obviously the leader.

"I'm happy to answer your question. This is the Time Management Bureau, responsible for dealing with all people and troubles that endanger the sacred timeline." The female warrior said, watching Loki being thrown into a door that suddenly appeared.

Loki, who was forced to strip off his clothes and put on a yellow prison uniform, fell weightlessly from the ground into a house. In the house, a cute cat was looking at him in horror at his sudden appearance.

"Here is your ticket, please take it." A familiar voice made Loki, who was looking at his clothes, suddenly look up and look towards the source of the voice.

"Luke?" Loki tilted his head, looking blankly at the man sitting behind the desk. The man had messy hair, greasy clothes, and a face he remembered vividly. He looked at Luke in surprise and asked, "What are you doing?"

Meow!

The cat jumped onto the thick documents on the desk, wagging its tail, and walked between the two of them with cat steps. Then, a hand grabbed its body and held it in his arms.

"You've got the wrong person." Luke stroked the cat hard a few times, then threw it aside with a scream from the cat, denying Loki's questioning.

"Impossible! Even if you were ten years old, I could recognize you." Loki was firm in his understanding. "What do you want to do?"

"Okay, I admit that you are not wrong. But so what? I am just a worker. A small undercover who has been lurking for a long time just to meet with a brave man like you. By the way, do you want to take a mission? The reward is a ticket home." The worker and undercover Luke raised his eyes and looked at Loki.

"Are you kidding?" Loki took a deep breath.

"Of course not. Look at these beautiful stones. What do you think?" Luke grabbed a handful of shiny stones from his claws and spread out his palm under Loki's eyes.

"Infinity Gems, I know you have a lot of these things." Loki frowned when he saw the dazzling stones lying in Luke's palm.

"This isn't mine, and it has nothing to do with me." Luke shook his head and threw the rocks onto the table like trash. "These are everywhere here. Some people even use them to hold paper."

"What does this have to do with me? I just want to go home." Loki walked forward and leaned over the edge of the desk to look at Luke sitting in the chair.

"You can't go back. You are one of their most troublesome hunting targets. Especially you, a mutant." Luke spread his hands.

"Aren't you here?" Loki knocked on the thick stack of documents with a smile on his face.

"I'm sorry. I want to help you, but I can't. I'm powerless and a complete loser." Luke looked at Loki and responded, "You can only save yourself here."

"You are at least a demon, right?" Loki's face was full of disbelief.

"Every profession has its own expertise. I've already said that I'm just an employee. All I can do for you is provide you with some inside information and a little help."

Facing Loki's questioning, Luke remained quite calm.

"Okay, I give up. What do you want me to do?" Loki looked at Luke seriously for a long time, took a step back and said helplessly.

"It's just a small task. If you succeed, you can go to my laboratory and choose a precious collection. Of course, custom orders are supported." Luke leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk, and looked at Loki.

"Do I have the right to refuse?" Loki laughed dryly.

"Here's the information you need. Look right here." Luke casually pulled a few sheets of paper from his desk and handed them to Loki. Then he looked at a watch on his wrist and reminded him, "You only have half an hour. I can't control more time, otherwise someone will notice something's wrong. This is a gap between space and time, which can avoid some unpleasant attention.

You're great at disguise and acting, aren't you? That's what I need."

"Also, this is for you." Luke stuffed a bullet into Loki's palm.

"A bullet? What can it be used for?" Loki looked at the silver bullet in his hand with disdain.

"Use it when you meet the man behind the scenes and feel the dilemma. Believe me, you will need it." Luke put the bullet back into his palm and helped him close his palm into a fist.

"Can you tell me more details?" Loki asked.

"That's all I can say. Also, after your memory is released, you'll forget me and some things. Only at the last moment will you be able to recover all your memories." Luke returned to his seat. "Now, watch. This information will appear in your memory in another form and guide you."

"Only wizards play with mystery." Loki muttered, but still obediently flipped through the intelligence information in his hand.

Half an hour later, Loki's mind suddenly became dazed, his body felt a sudden loss of weight, and he fell from the ceiling into a room.

"Here's your ticket, please take it." A man with glasses, messy hair, and greasy skin threw a piece of paper in Loki's face. The hand poking out from the thick document pointed behind Loki and continued, "The door is over there. Remember to close it when you leave. Thank you!"
