Chapter 305 - Infinite Series: Luke! Luke! [Part 1]

Everyone seemed to have entered a high-speed passage, surrounded by gorgeous and colorful corridors. They were swept up by a force and flashed towards a certain target point.

It seemed like a long time had passed, but also like only a moment had passed. The concept of time became confused in their memory. Under a strong push, they staggered out of the corridor and appeared in a colorful open space.

Above them, a sphere was slowly retracting into the metal baffle.

"Where is this place?" Wayne and the others instantly became alert, especially Wayne and the others who had seen the bright beam of light when Thanos came. They looked around as if they were facing a great enemy, as if a terrible creature would suddenly appear and attack them in the next moment.

"This is the Silent City."

A gentle voice sounded in the empty space. The voice was not loud, but under some strange energy resonance and architectural structure, it was clearly transmitted to the ears of everyone in the square.

"Luke!" The captain was almost ecstatic when he heard this voice. He had already had a premonition, but after hearing Luke's voice, he became even more certain that he was really going home this time.

He was able to see his beloved Peggy Carter again, and also reunite with his friends. More importantly, the feeling of returning home gave him a sense of belonging and security.

"Welcome home, Captain. I hope you enjoy your trip." A hazy light lit up in the square, and a slightly hunched old man walked out of the light curtain and came to their side under the captain's surprised gaze.

"Luke?" Seeing the hunched figure approaching them, the captain's face was full of disbelief. He asked in panic, "How much time has passed here? How did you age like this? Where's Peggy? Where are Tony and the others?"

All sorts of horrible thoughts flooded the captain's mind, and he was even filled with an intense fear that even the ring on his finger could not erase. He was terrified that Luke would give him some terrible news that he didn't want to hear.

"Oh, don't worry. You've only been traveling for a couple of years. I'm just a body used to maintain and upgrade Silent City. My main body is still buried in his lab." Luke's words made the captain breathe a sigh of relief. He was terrified that it would be like last time, waking up to find everything changed. Everyone familiar had died or aged, and the world was incomprehensible to him. He'd be like a lonely outsider, completely out of tune with his surroundings. Once was enough for him to experience that kind of situation and that kind of situation.

"Welcome to my Silent City." Luke's eyes swept over Wayne and the others, and he said softly, "Do you need me to show you around?"

"They are..."

The captain had just started to speak when Luke stopped him. Luke gently stretched out his hand, and the psychic gloves that were brought here with Wayne and the others were pulled in front of Luke by some force. As Luke's fingers gently touched the top of the gloves, rays of light flashed and lit up, and in the blink of an eye, everything returned to calm.

"That's our trophy." Luther stood up. He had never given up on coveting the gloves. Even though it seemed that the gloves were going to be returned to their original owner, he was still unwilling to give up.

"You want it?" Luke looked at Luther who stood up, his thin arms grasping the psychic gloves that looked like giant gloves, and asked with a little interest.

"It's ours," Luther declared again.

"Since you said so, I'll give it to you. I'm very happy that someone appreciates my work, even though its technology is a little outdated." Luke smiled and returned the psychic gloves to Luther's hands, as if what he was giving away was not a divine artifact, but an ordinary item.

"This is Luther..."

"I know them," Luke interrupted the captain again. "There's no need to waste time on useless introductions."

"How do you know?" The captain was stunned. Wayne and the others also looked at Luke.

"Why do you think I took the glove back just now? It's not just a carrier artifact, it's also a recording instrument. It's a series of equipment produced for the development of the multiverse, so some functions such as positioning and black box must be complete." Luke said calmly.

"So, you know everything Thanos has done?" This time, it was Diana who spoke up. The Lasso of Truth coiled around her arm as she stared at Luke.

"I advise you not to use that rope." Luke saw what Diana was thinking, but he remained where he was, his face gentle. "There's no need to be so aggressive. What good would it do you to subdue me? I'm just a pitiful clone."

"A clone capable of controlling this terrifying fortress?" Diana sneered. But just as she was about to strike, a strange feeling of weakness spread throughout her body. She felt the power coursing through her body stagnate, and she lost control of the artifact she carried.

She looked blankly at Luke who was so close to her. She knew that all this was related to Luke, but she didn't understand how he did it.

"What did you do to us?" The one who asked the question was Clark. His feelings were more profound than Diana's. The Kryptonian power surging in his body completely subsided. He had never felt like a truly ordinary person like he did at this moment.

Even Wayne's bat suit instantly rebelled and became a cage.

"Just to calm you down." Luke pulled out an ordinary hammer hanging behind him and struck the ground with it. A bunch of tiny parts appeared out of thin air, assembling themselves into a suspended chair beneath Luke, lifting him up. "Don't be so hostile. Even if you do, don't show it to me in this city.

This is the absolute domain I painstakingly forged. I've modified it to block your bloodlines and powers, and also restricted your equipment. Now, any power that exceeds the standard is incompatible here. I think this will facilitate our subsequent conversation, or rather, negotiation."

"What to talk about? How you invaded our universe? Or plundered our universe?" Hal said.

"Why invasion and plunder? Can't it be mutual progress and help?" Luke looked at Hal in surprise and spread his hands.

"Your arrangements don't indicate that. You're too strong and overbearing. We don't need your help to make progress," Wayne said. "I want to know, what exactly do you want us to do?"
