Chapter 300 - Infinite Series: Restart, the War of Time [Part 1]

"Gloves? Can I destroy them?" Clark was eager to try.

"We can try, but I don't think fate will be on our side this time." John made way.

"Let's do this together." Wayne glanced at his companions and raised his clenched fist. The white light ring on his finger stored tremendous energy, and tiny dots of white light floated around the ring.

The others also transformed their rings into their most powerful energy and aimed them at the gloves.

Luther wanted to say something, but after glancing at the people around him, especially Bruce Wayne who glanced at him, he was silent for a moment before finally raising his hand, where the ring was. He also wanted to test the glove to see if it was damaged. Perhaps if it was, it would be easier for him to obtain it.

After a wave of attacks, the gloves were intact.

Unwilling to give up, the crowd used the ring to create various weapons and equipment and used various means. However, the strength of the glove was beyond their expectations. They could hurt Thanos's attacks, but could not destroy the stability of the glove.

"Let's think of another way. It is now the carrier of all emotional spectra. If we use the power of the spectrum to destroy it, the energy will be absorbed and devoured by it." Wayne stopped testing first.

"If we can't destroy it, then we can only seal it." Hal was a little unwilling. He looked at John and said, "Is it true that the light beast up there can't be released?"

"Perhaps you could wear it and order it to release all the Lanterns," Luther offered an idea. "Of course, if you'd like, you could also have Doomsday wear it to prevent any unforeseen circumstances."

"Seal it! It possesses the power to bewitch people. We can now approach it openly because the white light shields its influence. If anyone knows of its existence, even mere knowledge, they will become its puppets, bringing us unforeseen surprises. My suggestion is to seal it and place it somewhere inaccessible, like a black hole? And arrange for regular inspections." John ignored Luther. In his mental perception, Luther was not a kind person. He harbored hidden hostility and ill will towards anyone who was not human.

Moreover, even without its user, the glove still gave him a nagging feeling of unease. Removed, it seemed to come alive, emitting a powerfully alluring, hidden whisper. However, these were blocked by the energy of the white light.

"Wait a minute! I agree with sealing it, but isn't throwing it away a waste? If Thanos and this glove were sent by that so-called Luke, how can you be sure he won't send a second or third one? According to what the captain said, as the so-called spiritual energy spreads and accumulates, it will eventually establish a stable beacon with that Luke. In other words, we have only achieved a temporary victory. We haven't dealt with the real mastermind behind this!

"Defeat Thanos only buys us time. That time could be hundreds of years, decades, years, or even months. Do we really have to remain passive?" Luthor objected.

His words made everyone's face darken. Although it was unpleasant to hear, Luthor did speak a truth. Defeating Thanos did not mean the end of things, it just delayed everything.

"What do you want to say?" Clark had no good feelings towards Luther, who made weapons out of the corpses of his own people, but he was able to control himself.

"What we lack is understanding of that Luke. Of course, the captain may have told you some information about Luke, but none of that information is significant enough to allow us to defeat him. In other words, we are still unsure of that Luke's strength.

In the captain's words, this glove was created by Luke. Studying it will help us determine the level of Luke's technology and how to crack and target his technology.

More importantly, it not only helps us understand Luke's technical strength, but also helps us improve and enhance our technology."

Luthor certainly knew Clark's dissatisfaction with him, but he didn't care. His words also made everyone's heart move.

"Do you want to obtain the research rights for it?" Wayne directly exposed Luther's idea.

"It should be left to the brightest among us to research. Only in this way can we avoid wasting time and achieve rapid results," Luther said frankly. He might not be the strongest among those present, but he firmly believed his intelligence and research abilities were unique. If they had to choose one person among them to conduct research on the glove, he would be the only one.

"That may not be the case." Wayne said calmly: "I will conduct research with you."

"Perhaps there's another way." Barry, standing nearby, raised his hand through the mental connection with his ring and spoke. His words immediately drew the attention of all his companions. Staring at him, Barry scratched his head sheepishly. "I'm not sure if this method is any good, but if necessary, I can rewind time a bit while the white light is on."

If, and I mean if, I could turn back time to before Thanos or Captain America arrived, and then I would find you and tell you everything. Would we be more prepared?

"Even," Barry licked his lips and continued, "Will the Captain never come to our world again?"

"Of course, we can't tell if all this will happen as we expect. After all, I've never done this before, and I don't know what would happen if time went back. But if things really get to the point of no return in the future, this might be our only hope."

"Use time to defeat the opponent?" Wayne and the others exchanged a thoughtful glance. Barry's idea was a bit far-fetched, but as he'd said, if things really got to the worst, this might be their ultimate means of turning the tables.

"I think it's a good idea. While playing with time isn't good, sometimes you need to be flexible, right?" Diana agreed with Barry's suggestion. Thanos had left a deep impression on her; his power was even more terrifying than that of the God of War. And what about the fact that Luke, Thanos's chief messenger, stood behind him?

Amidst their discussion, no one noticed that the gemstones condensed from the Light Beasts on the gloves were secretly emitting obscure energy fluctuations. Tentacle-like energy perception swept over everyone's bodies, finally landing on Doomsday, who looked numb and unconnected.

"Wait, what are you doing?"

Luther suddenly discovered that Doomsday lost control and grabbed the glove in his hand, and before everyone was prepared, he put it in his own hand.
