Chapter 222 - War of the Realms: King Meets King

A camp somewhere in the Dark Elf Alliance.

Night.

A rustling sound came from far away in the darkness, as if a large number of insects were crawling on the ground. The dark coalition soldiers on guard looked towards the source of the sound.

A dark figure suddenly leaped from the darkness and pounced directly on the face of the soldier who had peeked out to observe. It was a creature with a long tail, resembling a scorpion. After it pounced on the soldier's face, its long tail burrowed directly into the man's open mouth, which was now open with a gasp. In a flash, the soldier tore the scorpion creature from his face.

But this is just the beginning.

Countless dark shadows emerged from the darkness, each hunting their own host in the camp.

This caused a commotion in the camp.

"What's this?"

"Why was there no warning?"

"vomit..."

The commotion caused by the strange creatures was quickly suppressed, and the camp was littered with the monsters' shattered corpses. The camp manager stood up, his face grim as he looked at the corpses scattered across the ground.

"Their energy index is very low. They are considered harmless and pose no threat, so the alarm system is ineffective." A dark elf in charge of the camp security system explained beside the manager.

"It doesn't look like a threat." The administrator's gloomy expression softened slightly as he looked at the soldiers, who hadn't suffered any casualties. Judging from the scene, the insects were indeed not very lethal; they hadn't taken a single soldier's life.

"Maybe our camp is located near their nest, and they regard us as prey and invaders." The dark elf on security speculated.

"Is there such a creature here?" The manager felt a little uneasy.

"Who knows? No one knows how many species of creatures there are in the Nine Realms. Harmless insects like these have a wider distribution range and variety." The security dark elf whispered.

"vomit!"

"vomit!"

"…"

Suddenly, a series of vomiting sounds began to emanate. The administrator looked up sharply and saw that most of the soldiers around him were bent over, vomiting uncontrollably.

The smell in the camp suddenly became unpleasant.

The manager noticed that most of the vomiting soldiers seemed to have fought against insects. A strange sense of unease suddenly surged within him, but before he could do anything, the situation on the field suddenly deteriorated.

laugh!

A black sharp blade cut out from the abdomen of a dark elf soldier. The soldier's body quickly became thinner and his vitality was lost. Under the astonished gaze of everyone, it was as if he had gone through a stage of his life in a short moment, and his body was aged beyond recognition.

Then, a black monster jumped out from the other's shriveled body.

one.

two.

Ten.

One hundred.

Crowded.

Almost in the blink of an eye, the camp was filled with these black monsters.

"Enemy attack!" The manager finally shouted out loud. At the same time, he raised the weapon in his hand and took the lead in attacking the black monsters.

The beam of light struck the monster closest to him, but was blocked by its black carapace, which hardened rapidly in the wind. The attacked monster suddenly turned around and stared at the administrator who had attacked it.

What kind of creature is that?

It was a streamlined creature with smooth curves like a fish swimming in the sea. It stood on two thick lower limbs, its arms were two black claw blades, and its spindle-shaped head had highly corrosive saliva flowing from the corners of its mouth.

The manager looked at the monster rushing towards him with its mouth open and hissing, and he felt a strong sense of fear in his heart. He didn't know where this sudden emotion came from, but he was inevitably affected by it.

He subconsciously stepped back and ran away.

However, turning his back to the hunter so close was undoubtedly foolish. The manager realized this the moment he turned around. But before he could take any corrective action, the sharp tongue of the first level pierced his head directly.

hiss!

The alien creature that had killed the administrator raised its head and opened its mouth, letting out a silent scream. Circles of invisible sound waves echoed through the air. As if inspired by a call, the other alien creatures around it raised their heads and screamed in unison.

The soldiers in the camp were thrown into complete chaos. Light beams flew everywhere, occasionally landing on their comrades. They felt their bodies drained of strength, limp and unable to exert any force. Some, like the previous administrators, felt a strong sense of fear in their hearts, like sheep caught in a flock of hungry wolves. Chaos began to spread.

The few coalition soldiers who were immune to the alien creatures' strange sonic attacks due to their life forms fell to the ground one by one under the tacit hunting of the alien creatures one after another.

The black, hard shells on the alien creatures seemed to offer excellent protection against both physical and energy attacks. The fire giants from Muspelheim, proud of their high-temperature lethality, were completely defeated by the aliens. They were even used as energy and food, becoming the aliens' sustenance.

Near the camp, Hogan suddenly opened his closed eyes and made an attacking gesture to Thor and his friends around him.

Upon receiving Hogun's command, Volstagg rushed out, weapon in hand. However, even though he moved quickly, two figures were even faster. Thor, wielding Mjolnir, soared into the sky, then descended upon the camp amidst a blinding cloud of lightning.

Another huge figure, like a canine creature from the courtyard, rushed into the camp right behind Thor.

"hiss!"

The alien creatures hissed in dissatisfaction at Thor who had intruded into their midst. The canine creatures standing in front of Thor also bared their teeth and let out threatening low growls at the surrounding alien creatures.

Following behind, Hogan descended from the sky, holding up a piece of amber-like object with black and red mixed together, and quietly surrounded the alien creatures that wanted to attack. They shook their heads and retreated two steps, leaving the battlefield and going to hunt elsewhere.

"You should wait for me, Thor." After seeing many alien creatures retreat, Hogan turned around and said to Thor.

"What's the difference? These creatures are so cute, aren't they, Tory?" Thor patted the head of the big dog in front of him.

"Woo!" The big dog named Tory made a whimpering sound in response, as if echoing Thor's words.

"Take it with you, it will protect you from their attacks. Although you may not care." Hogan threw the black and red amber crystal in his hand to Thor and warned him.

Thor took the crystal without saying a word, picked up his hammer, and joined the battle with his dog.

"What was that!" Volstagg swung his weapon, sending a fire giant as tall as himself flying. He scurried over to Hogan's side, wiping his face. He felt something had bitten his butt, and even his thick supernatural armor couldn't completely block the attack. Judging from his experience and understanding over the past few days, it must have been one of the alien creatures.

"This is the crystallized shell shed by the Queen." Hogan looked up at Volstagg. "It carries the Queen's genetic aura. Wearing it can intimidate and command alien creatures."

"Give me one." Volstagg held out his hand. "Those little creatures attacked me. Their teeth were really sharp. They seem to have damaged my armor. When I get back, I'll have to find a dwarven craftsman to repair it. If the dwarf doesn't have time, then I can only ask Luke. He seems to have a few dwarven craftsmen over there."

"We don't have much time." Hogan took out another crystal and threw it to Volstagg. "Take it and remember our purpose."

"Expand an alien army. I understand." Volstagg took the crystal and said in a muffled voice.

After Thor and his men joined, the entire camp collapsed into chaos. Without a lord, Thor's combat power was nearly at the top of the Nine Realms, and with the addition of a vast army of experienced and coordinated aliens, the entire camp quickly went from chaos to collapse.

at the same time.

At another camp, the same thing was happening. This time, the team was led by Loki, Sif, and Fandral. While they lacked Thor's exceptional military prowess, under Loki's control, they effectively used the alien army to create a favorable situation. While the process wasn't as smooth as Thor's, it could still be considered a successful raid.

The aliens' debut performance delighted the people of Asgard. True to Luke's promise, they were natural hunters. Their carapaces could even withstand several attacks from Mjolnir. Furthermore, they could evolve to a higher level through hunting and devouring.

This is a group of nearly perfect, highly aggressive evolved creatures!

The reason they were considered nearly perfect was that their genes still had flaws, and their high level of evolution resulted in a relatively short lifespan. Luke didn't deliberately try to correct this, or rather, he viewed this flaw as an advantage.

They exist as consumables from the moment they are born!

Since they were consumables, their lifespan wasn't a particularly important issue. In fact, it was hard to say whether these alien creatures could survive to a natural death, relying on evolution to reach their lifespan limit.

If there is no constant supply of resources, even the queen will take the initiative to eliminate a group of alien creatures under her command due to resource consumption considerations. Or perhaps the true perfect form of alien creatures is the queen!

The alien creatures devour their evolved genetic tissues, offering them as alternative food to the queen. After the queen consumes them, she automatically stores these genes within her body. It can be said that each queen is equivalent to a hive of Bruder subspecies. They not only possess extraordinary physical attack power and unparalleled defense, but also possess a variety of genetic abilities.

If there were no limits, this would be a very terrifying biological weapon.

Fortunately, its life form is currently shackled, making it difficult to make a transition to a higher dimension.

Before Malekith and his companions could even plan their next move, they were attacked from all sides by alien creatures. These alien creatures were no longer the same form they had been when they first emerged from the abdomen. They had evolved and changed in various ways by consuming the genes of different organisms.

Some became even thinner, yet their agility and attack power increased significantly. Some expanded to the size of a small mountain, resembling a siege beast. Others surged with heat, their corrosive acid mouths transformed into magma. A very small number had lost most of their bodies, becoming practically energy-based creatures.

Such a large alien army numbering in the tens of thousands naturally attracted the attention of Malekith and his men. Energy weapons of various attributes crisscrossed the land. Some alien creatures fell, but others ignored the attacks.

Frost giants, fire giants, dark elves, and the heaven dimension, the two sides collided with each other, blending together, indistinguishable from each other.

Looking at this bizarre army, Malekith's face turned grim. A small, alien creature with spatial abilities suddenly appeared behind Malekith, its sharp tail stabbing him in the back.

However, its attack, which never failed, was blocked by a red halo.

Then, with a strange cry, it attempted to vanish, but its power lost its effect. It was bound by a ball of red energy and moved in front of Malekith. It struggled hard, but bound by the red energy, its struggle seemed futile. With a cold snort from Malekith, the red energy completely erased its existence in the real world.

"Odin!"

A bright beam of light fell vertically from the sky. Malekith's pupils shrank when he saw it. When the light dissipated, it revealed Odin, who was fully armed and holding Gungnir in his hand, and Thor, who was covered in lightning.

A black rainbow bridge halo spread out not far away, with sulfur and cold energy venting from it. A group of demons with horns on their heads emerged from the rainbow bridge with strange laughter.

"You've actually teamed up with Hell?" Malekith looked at the group of demons, then looked at Odin with some doubt. In his impression, Odin didn't seem like someone who would seek out reinforcements, unless he was facing an invincible power.

"It's not an alliance, just a collaboration." Odin was reluctant to elaborate on the matter. In truth, if it weren't for the embarrassing situation, he wouldn't want to involve these demons from the Hell dimension. After all, Mephisto's intentions and credibility were truly unreliable. But since it was already a fact, he didn't dwell on it. After all, his current enemy was Malekith.

The dark rainbow bridge disappeared.

Then, another brilliant beam of light appeared. Within the beam, a dark and tall figure appeared in everyone's sight after the light dissipated.
