Chapter 135 - Network, Meditation, Bracelet, Identification

"How does it feel?" Luke came to Mordo's side, squatted down, looked at Mordo's face revealed by the loosened straps, and asked softly.

"It's terrible." Mordo tried to rub his aching head, but his entire body was still tightly bound by the red bandages. "It feels like there are more and more unfamiliar consciousnesses in my head, converging to form a certain emotional consciousness. I understand the danger you're talking about. Without proper protection and mental preparation, even a strong willpower will face the risk of assimilation and erosion."

There was a hint of lingering fear in Modu's eyes.

"It's like there's a giant spirit fighting for control of your body. Can you understand that feeling?"

"That's why filtering and conversion are necessary." Luke said softly.

The red band untied itself from Mordo, then returned to Luke's side, wrapping around his waist. Mordo, freed from the restraints, supported himself on the ground and stood up. "But that power is very strong. I feel that if it were used to cast a matching spell, the power of the spell might be quite extraordinary."

"That depends on the Supreme Sorcerer and you. If a type of energy is an operating system, then what you have to do is to write various programs [spells, incantations] for this new system to enrich it. Of course, after filtering, this energy will allow you to use any magic commonly used by the Supreme Sorcerer lineage that you are familiar with, and it will be compatible with other energy system platforms. But this cannot bring out its greatest advantages, and compatibility itself is prone to problems." Luke stood up and replied with his hands spread out.

"So, every mage who wants to use this energy needs a bracelet like this?" Mordo looked at Luke in front of him and touched the bracelet on his wrist. The ring did not have the cold feeling of metal. Instead, it felt like human skin, with a strange touch and temperature.

"To be on the safe side. You have also experienced the true face of this energy. Even elite mages need a period of familiarity and confrontation before they can gradually gain control of it. Ordinary mage apprentices simply cannot perfectly master this power. Instead, they will encounter certain troubles under the influence of this power." Luke nodded.

"So according to the agreement between you and the Supreme Sorcerer, does the Sorcerer need to place an order with you?" Mordo couldn't explain what he felt in his heart, but he always felt that some changes caught him off guard.

"The correct way to put it is to place an order with Heberon," Luke corrected. Although this correction seemed completely unnecessary to Mordo.

"Can you license the technology?" Compared to other Supreme Wizards, Mordo, who holds the title of a small country, has certain experience and knowledge in such commercial cooperation in the human world. He asked instinctively.

"Of course. But my suggestion is that it's not necessary." Luke answered readily and honestly. "The Supreme Mage lineage and Heberon are now bound together in a shared destiny. There's no need to go to such great lengths to transform a technological product into a magical one. It's meaningless."

Even if we grant you the authorization and even if you succeed in the transformation, what about the subsequent upgrades?"

Mo Du was speechless.

"You need my technological products, and I also need your dimensional materials. We both have the same interests and mutual needs. Isn't that right?" Luke continued.

Mordo nodded. Even if he had any objections, they would likely be of little use given the cooperation between the Sorcerer Supreme and Luke. Mordo knew full well that the Sorcerer Supreme's greatest flaw was that they lacked the ability to control the magical energy source of the mages living within this planet without any unforeseen consequences.

While mages could certainly borrow power from other dimensions and dimensional demons, the very word "borrow" clearly demonstrated their predicament. Once the source of their power was extinguished, they would become mere mortals, powerless and helpless. Facing the source of their power, they could offer no resistance except obedience and powerlessness.

Aside from experts like Ancient One, faced with being kicked out of a system that denied them access to all its programs and spells, they could only stare helplessly. Even if they found a way to embrace another dimension's demonic power, the inherent dangers of switching platforms, aside from the complications and potential mental erosion, remained unchanged.

They are not masters of the power they wield.

So in this regard, Mordo is a firm supporter of the Sorcerer Supreme.

"Your Silent City?" Mordo suddenly changed the topic to Luke's fortress.

"We're getting ready to start construction," Luke said.

"What about the one in the dark?"

"I need some help from you mages, of course, for a fee." Luke smiled. If anyone had the most new currency right now, it would undoubtedly be Luke, besides the Sorcerer Supreme. The reason Luke had less than the Sorcerer Supreme was because he had purchased a large amount of materials from the Sorcerer Supreme, sourced from other dimensions.

Although the Sorcerer Supreme didn't care about the trade in these materials, Luke still had to maintain the newly established and fragile trading order for the time being. After all, compared to Nick Fury, who was struggling and trying every possible way to accumulate more new currency for S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke's new currency financial situation was much healthier and more prosperous.

"After completion, can the so-called energy veins really penetrate into every corner of this planet as you said?" Mordo asked curiously.

"The Supreme Sorcerer has no doubts about this. One day in the future, just like the Dimensional Demon, you will be able to feel, collect, and use this power no matter where you are in this universe."

"Where are the others?"

"What other people?"

"What I mean is, apart from mages, can people also feel and use this power?" Mordo asked.

"What's your opinion?" Luke was somewhat noncommittal about Mordo's question.

"This energy is very dangerous and cannot be abused recklessly." Mordo said: "If it is abused, I can't imagine the consequences."

"It is a network, Master Mordo. Mages of the Supreme Mage's lineage can sense it and use it through meditation. That's because the Supreme Mage and I are partners. She has opened up the corresponding access rights for other mages under her command.

"Borrowing the power of any dimensional demon god is equivalent to backing up a copy with them at some cost. Why do you think the Supreme Sorcerer and I haven't taken such measures? The mage's meditation and Heberon's filtering bracelet are equivalent to the network access permissions and ID access rights we provide. Even if someone accesses this network through some trickery, the Supreme Sorcerer and I can treat them as a black account and kick them out, banning them." Luke replied casually.
