"It seems the Iron Titan is still lacking something. Set up the ropes," General Ross ordered the soldiers around him. The soldier, receiving the order, spoke a few words into the walkie-talkie, and two vehicles suddenly roared out of the surrounding bushes, with a long, hair-thin, almost invisible rope hanging between them.
Hulk lifted Bronski's Titan and slammed it down. He watched the massive metal carcass tumble several times across the ground. Just as he was about to pursue it, the two cars pulled away, stretched the ropes to a perfect length, and began circling around Hulk. Hulk felt his foot trip, and then stumbled. The thin ropes bound his legs together, and with the outward force of the cars, they contracted against his thigh muscles.
Hulk struggled angrily twice, but the thin rope that seemed to be easily broken was surprisingly tough. With his strength, except for the pain in his hand, the rope was intact.
"Sonic cannon ready."
Seeing that the rope was getting tighter and tighter around Hulk's body without being stretched, General Ross smiled with satisfaction, reached out and took the walkie-talkie from the soldier beside him and gave the next order.
This was no ordinary rope, of course. While it wasn't the expensive nanorope made of carbon nanotubes used in space elevators, it was a special rope far exceeding other steels in hardness, toughness, and lightness. Produced by Heberon Industries, it was also expensive, but General Ross was willing to pay the price.
General Ross's core tactic now was to control the Hulk's range of movement. If he could control his movements and have materials to temporarily bind him, that would be even better. He had prepared several plans for this purpose, and the ropes and technology of Heberon Industries played a key role in this.
Two more cars roared out from the surrounding woods and bushes. There were metal structures similar to horns on the bodies of the cars. The two cars stopped at suitable locations. The sonic cannon in General Ross's mouth was activated, and circles of transparent sound waves visible to the naked eye spread out in the direction of Hulk.
This weapon is similar to a strong sonic weapon. The high-energy sound wave beam it emits can make living things dizzy and lose their ability to move, but it will not cause any irreversible damage to the human body.
Of course, if a sonic weapon of this power is used against Hulk, ordinary people cannot withstand it.
Hulk, who was locked at one point by the cross-waves of sound, immediately covered his head. The power surging inside his body began to subside. He could still struggle to pull the ropes wrapped around his body before, but now he could only half-kneel on the ground.
"Liquid nitrogen bomb."
Seeing the situation gradually moving in the direction he had envisioned, General Ross, who felt the victory of the Hulk capture operation for the first time, smiled even more widely. It seemed that his wish would finally be fulfilled today.
Receiving General Ross's orders, Bronski controlled the Iron Titan and activated its weapon system. A shield on its arm unfolded, revealing a metal bullet as thick as a baby's arm. Under Bronski's control, it struck the struggling Hulk squarely. A sudden burst of cold air, followed by a puff of cold mist, revealed a small iceberg-like block of ice. Within the block, the Hulk's ferocious, angry expression came to life, then quickly faded into the mist.
"Is this considered a success?"
Bronski was incredulous when he saw the Hulk inside the ice. Perhaps he still wanted the same violent fight he'd just experienced. The fact that the fight had ended just when he was getting excited left him feeling a bit frustrated. But at the same time, he also became more aware of the Hulk's strength and perversion. After all, if anyone else had dared to pull on those ropes like that, their hands and thighs would have been cut off.
The protective power of the opponent's skin was simply unbelievable and unreasonable! Throughout the battle, except for his metal fist that made Hulk spit blood and foam, other weapons, whether firearms or otherwise, failed to even break the skin. Even a general would not dare to use more powerful weapons here.
Besides, General Ross's mission from the beginning to the end was to capture him alive.
"I don't know." General Ross's voice came from the intercom.
"Helicopter, prepare the sling."
To avoid further complications, General Ross, after confirming that the Hulk was indeed under control, immediately called out via intercom. He didn't know when the Hulk would break free, but he had to bring him to his own territory and imprison him as quickly as possible. The prison he had built for him so long ago.
"Dad, you can't do this, let him go?"
Bruce Banner's girlfriend, Betty Ross, the daughter of General Ross, finally broke free from a soldier who was pulling her, ran quickly to her father, grabbed his shoulders and pleaded urgently.
"You know this is impossible, Betty." General Ross looked at his daughter with tears in her eyes and a pleading expression. He pushed her to the side of the soldier next to him and ordered, "Hold her until she calms down."
"You are a devil!" Betty Ross turned her head and yelled at her father when the soldier dragged her arm back.
"I don't care what image I have in your eyes." General Ross's face darkened for a moment, but then he spread his hands and shrugged nonchalantly. He had heard the noise made by the helicopter propellers, and soon, he would achieve his long-cherished wish.
However, accidents always happen when you think you have won.
Perhaps the thick layer of ice weakened the power of the sonic cannon, or perhaps Hulk, who had not lost consciousness in the ice, saw the frail figure being dragged backwards. But no matter the former or the latter, he only felt the anger in his heart growing stronger. Under the incredulous gaze of General Ross and everyone else, the ice began to crack.
As the ice shattered, glittering ice mist and shards flew out, followed by the tractor trucks connected to the ropes and swung by Hulk like chain hammers. The tractor trucks, used as hammers, smashed directly into the two sonic cannon trucks on the left and right, turning them into scrap metal in an instant.
Then, seeing that the situation was not good, Bronski wanted to come up, but was pulled back and thrown out by the tractor, which circled around him. The thin rope was wrapped around the Iron Titan's body twice due to inertia. Finally, under the heavy hammer of the tractor which lost its inertia, it made a loud bang and fell straight to the ground.
Bronski, who was unable to break free from the two ropes around himself even after using all the power of the Iron Titan, couldn't help but spit, opened the hatch and jumped out.
"Looks like we failed again."
General Ross's face turned grim as he watched Hulk, wielding two tractors and an Iron Titan as weapons in an attempt to break through the encirclement, think about how this was the closest he had ever come to success.
