The Lycans descended from the Great Leodonas, the only son of the Moon Goddess. Sent by his mother to guide wolves who had strayed from her light, he was meant to lead them back onto the right path. But instead, he broke divine law. He fell into forbidden unions with she-wolves, entangling himself in immortal relationships that enraged his mother. In her fury, she slaughtered all the children he sired with them.

Some myths say she overlooked him. Others claim he escaped her wrath and fled into hiding. For thousands of years she searched for him, but when she finally found him, it was too late as Kharl had already mingled his blood with that of a mortal wolf-woman who descended from the line of his ancestors human lover.
From that union came Varguntu the First, and through him a bloodline that endured. Thiago, then Kaldin and finally Navajo who gave rise to me.
