With his mind made up, Kyle dialed his beta father to tell him his plans.
"Hello dad, how are you?" Kyle's voice was warm as he talked to the prime minister of the country.
"I am fine, Kyle. How are you?" His father's caring and familiar voice made the omega smile as he paced his study, feeling a little nervous to tell his father that he needed his help with conquering his love interest.
Lucian Hayes was a high profile figure who rarely interacted with other people unless it was strictly business.
It could have been nearly impossible to meet the mafia lord again without any big connections to the business world.
"I am okay. Dad, I have found an Alpha that I am interested in." Kyle confessed and there was a short silence on the other end of the phone.
"I hope I am not speaking to an imposter." His father's surprised voice made Kyle chuckle.
His father's reaction was totally understandable considering the numerous years he had spent trying to get his son to have a serious relationship.
"Dad, don't worry. It's still me but I need your help to capture his attention." Kyle soothed his dad's worries.
"Who is this lucky Alpha?" His father was curious and Kyle's cheeks flushed slightly as he thought of Lucian's fine face.
"Lucian Hayes." Kyle's voice was low.
"Isn't he a mafia Lord?" The voice on the other end was concerned, something that Kyle had expected.
"I know but he is also the perfect gentleman. Dad, it's him or no one." Kyle set out his rules and he received a long troubled sigh from his father.
"If you say so. I will see what I can do." His father assured and Kyle's happiness level sky rocketed.
"Thank you." His voice was sincere.
"Anything for my boy." His father's voice was warm and affectionate before he hang up.
Kyle nearly squealed from joy at accomplishing the first step towards his journey to conquer Lucian.

Lucian's dark mood was evident as he flipped through the thick folder that he had found at the center of his office desk.
"What is this?" He asked his personal assistant as he softly glared at a page that was filled with several pictures of good looking Omegas of both genders. There were a few human females as well.
"Your father sent these in earlier this morning." The omega replied, choosing her words carefully since her Alpha boss was clearly not in a good mood.
Lucian rubbed his temple, tired of his alpha father's efforts to play match maker.
His head was already throbbing since he had barely slept the previous night because his mind had been occupied by thoughts of Jace.
"I can't deal with this right now. Please take it away." He told the omega who was watching him curiously.
She moved slowly, her small hands trembling as she hesitantly pulled away the file.
It was something she did whenever she was nervous and Lucian wondered if he was excluding too much negative energy.
He didn't want to make her uncomfortable.
"You may leave." His voice was calm.
"Sir, you father said that you should choose at least one of these candidates and go on a date with them. If you don't pick one, I....might get in trouble." His assistant added and Lucian groaned, an invisible dark cloud looming over his head as he momentarily regretted his father's retirement from running the family empire.
His old man seemed to have so much time on his hands and Lucian's love life had unfortunately become his new project.
Lucian had a soft spot for his omega assistant because she was not only good at her job but she was also very patient.
Patient enough to deal with his father's ridiculous demands.
If he didn't pick a blind date, the poor omega was probably going to have to endure a week's worth of working overtime.
Lucian was not that heartless but he also didn't want to be going on dates with strangers.
The only person he wanted to date hated him for all the right reasons.
"Fine, I will pick one." Lucian gave in, stretching out his hand for the file.
He figured he could just show up, exchange a few polite words with his date and be on his merry way.
Before he could choose a date, his phone rang and he exhaled deeply once he saw that it was his father calling.
"Hello dad." Lucian greeted, his voice neutral.
"You don't sound so happy to hear from me." His dad feigned a hurt voice and Lucian nearly rolled his eyes.
"That's because you are playing match maker again. Stay out of my love life, dad." Lucian's voice was as polite as he could make it but all he received from the other end was an amused chuckle.
"If I listen to you and stay out of it, you will die single. I am not getting any younger. I want to see some grandchildren soon!" The alpha on the other end of the phone call was getting more and more annoying and it took a lot of Lucian's patience not to just hang up on the old man.
"Dad, you already have two beautiful grandkids from Lana." Lucian mentioned his younger omega sister that had found her alpha mate three years back and had two twin daughters.
"Don't bring your sister into this! You are now twenty six and not getting any younger, I want to see some grandchildren from you as well." His old man was persistent and Lucian felt his headache slowly worsen.
He had had the current conversation with his father hundreds of times.
"Dad, I am quite busy so I will be hanging up if there is nothing new you want to say." Lucian spoke, inwardly contemplating whether he should shock his father with news about his alpha mate.
He decided against it once he remembered that Jace hated him and wanted to kill him over a misunderstanding that was not going to be solved anytime soon.
What Jace didn't know was that Lucian had not been the one to deliver the bullet that had killed his father.
He had been around though and witnessed everything.
Lucian hadn't intervened and a part of him felt like Jace could still hate him for that even though he came clean and told him the truth the next time they met.
