Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: Assigning the Mission, Akainu Strikes

Marineford.

Inside the office.Sengoku stood by the window of his office, watching the ongoing battle between Kalifa and Tina below, and sighed deeply in his heart.

No one understood Roya's strength better than Sengoku.

That was undoubtedly peak-level Armament Haki.

With just that alone, there were very few on these seas who could kill Roya!

He supposed Roya must have been delayed by some matter or trouble.

Sighing again, Sengoku walked to his desk and picked up an operation plan.

This operation was originally intended for Roya to carry out.

Because Roya was the strongest, the success rate would be highest.

But now that Roya hadn't returned, to ensure the plan could start on time, Sengoku had no choice but to assign the mission to Akainu.

There was no other way. Kizaru was currently on duty and couldn't leave Marineford unless it was an extremely important matter.

Aokiji also had other missions at hand, so sending Akainu was the best choice available now.

Soon, Akainu arrived at Sengoku's office.

"Fleet Admiral!"

After giving a crisp military salute, Akainu stood before Sengoku, awaiting his orders.

"Akainu, according to intelligence reports, apart from an additional defensive wall formed by tree roots, Ohara shows no other changes. Even that mysterious powerhouse hasn't appeared again."

"So we suspect Ohara currently may not possess significant combat strength!"

"Your mission is to go there and test them. If you confirm there's no strong resistance, proceed with destruction. If not, immediately request reinforcements, and we'll provide additional support!"

Hearing the mission, veins bulged across Akainu's body.

The battle at Ohara had been his most humiliating defeat.

Ever since returning from that battle, he had relentlessly trained to increase his power.

Especially after being defeated by Roya, his training intensity had tripled.

His strength had grown significantly compared to before!

"Mission accepted! Justice will prevail!"

With that, Akainu turned sharply and left the office.

This time, he would definitely wash away his shame!

He would erase Ohara from the sea charts completely!

——

Two more days passed.

Roya sat on the ship's railing and finally spotted the towering Tree of Omniscience in the distance below.

He had returned to Ohara at last. He wondered if Robin had missed him?

At this thought, Roya's lips curled into a faint smile.

But he knew time was tight, so without wasting a moment, he began maneuvering Noah's Ark to descend slowly.

After seeing Robin, he would need to prepare to return to Marineford!

On Ohara.

Robin, who was training her abilities on the shore, froze at the sight before her.

"Mom! A powerful enemy might be coming!"

Olvia looked up at the slowly descending ship, her pupils contracting sharply. "This... This is Noah's Ark! How? According to records I've seen, Noah's Ark should be near Fish-Man Island! How could it appear here, descending from the sky? What immense power would be required to accomplish such a feat!""Robin, let's hurry and inform the scholars to escape immediately!"

Ever since the Buster Call occurred, they had gathered all their supplies together, ready to flee at any moment.

"Mom is already too late!"

Robin's delicate face was filled with seriousness as she watched the enormous figure descending from the sky.

The figure was like a mountain, dozens of times larger than Robin!

"Boom!"

Weevil landed from the sky, crashing onto the ground and creating a small crater.

Robin and Olvia felt the earth tremble beneath them.

A bead of cold sweat appeared on their fair foreheads.

"Robin, long time no see!"

But just then.

A voice all too familiar to both Robin and Olvia drifted into their ears.

Before seeing the person, they heard the voice first.

Yet even so, Robin immediately recognized whose voice it was—the one she'd been dreaming about day and night!

"Brother Roya!"

She watched as Roya casually stored Noah's Ark back into his system space before gently floating down from the air.

Olvia stared at the scene before her in shock.

Unable to contain her excitement any longer, Robin threw herself into Roya's arms.

"Brother Roya, it's really you! You finally came! I've missed you so much!"

Robin hugged Roya tightly, as if trying to merge herself into his embrace.

She kept inhaling Roya's scent.

That familiar smell made her feel completely at ease.

Seeing this, Olvia gradually let go of the tension she'd been holding.

"Roya, this is..."

Olvia gestured toward Weevil standing behind Roya.

"Him? Consider him a human weapon—here to protect you both."

With that, Roya turned to Weevil and commanded, "Weevil, from today onward, you'll follow these two women's orders."

"Yes!"

Weevil responded firmly.

"Is he strong?" Robin asked.

"Decent," Roya replied. "Right now, he possesses the same power Whitebeard had in his youth."

As Roya's words landed, Olvia stared at Weevil in disbelief.

Her finger trembled as she pointed at him. "H-he has Whitebeard's youthful strength?!"

Olvia had spent considerable time sailing the seas.

She knew Whitebeard's legendary reputation all too well.

She understood exactly how terrifying the man's power was.

He was one of the Four Emperors of the New World, hailed as the World's Strongest Man!

And according to Roya, this man called Weevil possessed that same legendary strength from Whitebeard's prime.

Just how monstrous was that power?!

"Roya, how did you even meet him?"

"We were enemies at first. Let's just say he was... persuaded by force."

Olvia covered her mouth. The whole situation felt surreal to her.

Someone with Whitebeard's prime strength had been subdued by Roya.

Just how powerful did that make Roya himself?!

But then Olvia reconsidered—this was the same Roya who had single-handedly annihilated a Buster Call with one sword strike. Perhaps such strength wasn't so unbelievable after all.

"But after you leave, what if..."

Olvia voiced her concerns to Roya.

Roya assured her they could command Weevil without worry.

Any order would be obeyed.

Just as Roya finished speaking, the sound of cannon fire erupted in the distance!

Warships came charging toward Ohara at full speed, showing no signs of slowing down...
