Prologue: The Fall of the Blue Star

Humanity believed it knew itself. It believed that history, culture, and science were the only forces shaping its destiny. But it was wrong.

Overnight, the skies of the Blue Star darkened with omens that no leader or army could foresee. Creatures from other worlds began appearing without warning: impossible monsters, entities that defied all logic and biology, devastating cities, military bases, and strategic zones. Communication between nations became chaotic; governments entrenched themselves, distrusting even their closest allies. In a matter of weeks, humanity saw its supposed superiority vanish.

World leaders were lost, entire arsenals destroyed, and hope began to fade like a candle in the midst of a storm. Streets emptied, and survivors wondered if they would ever live in a safe world again. Desperation grew with each passing day.

And just when it seemed that all was lost… the World System appeared.

A cold, mechanical, yet clear voice projected itself across all devices connected to the global network:

"Reality has collapsed. Individuals from around the world will be selected. Those chosen will receive the opportunity to survive and grow stronger. Progress will be visible to all. The fate of humanity is at stake."

Soon, two communication channels were enabled:

Real Global Chat: where anyone could observe and communicate, regardless of their native language.

System Chat: where the selected would receive missions, rewards, and updates on their progress.

The two worlds could not communicate with each other, but hope was reborn in the hearts of millions.

Among the chosen was Eiden Kurozawa, a young South Korean with Latin ancestry. Newly transmigrated and still confused by his situation, he realized something no one else seemed to notice: he knew the Backrooms—their levels, creatures, and secrets. And with that knowledge, he might survive… and perhaps change everything.

But before that, he had to face a reality more terrifying than any monster: the other chosen, the unpredictable nature of the System, and the decisions that would define his humanity.

The battle for survival had begun. And for many, the Blue Star would never be the same again.
