Chapter 26 - BOOM!

The stadium looked puzzled, the high lords looked intrigued, and the highest Lord just snored a little louder.

Lord Namor, on the other hand, stared down at the ground and started laughing hysterically, his booming laugh echoing through the whole arena.

Had the mighty Lord finally gone insane from that impact?

Namor looked right at Araegon.

"You sly, sly bastard. How cruel and clever of you to hide something so fascinating from me."

What on earth was he talking about? What could Araegon possibly be hiding? He was half-naked—what could he have even concealed?

Araegon laughed right back with him.

"So you finally caught up to me. Experience really does give you an eye for things kept out of sight."

I genuinely hate it when people talk in riddles. Just tell us already!

Down in the middle of the sandy stadium, the dust particles began to stir, lifting up into the air as something shifted beneath the surface.

A rust-coated, old, shabby chain was the thing creating all that weird movement in the sand.

The crowd wasn't blind to it either, picking up on what was happening faster than usual.

"How is that chain moving through the sand on its own?"

"Wait... isn't that the exact same chain that made Sir Larry slip during his duel with the slave?"

Everything clicked all at once. Those stray chains weren't just prison litter—they were Araegon's actual Zenkaichi ability.

The chain whipped through the air toward Araegon, twisting and turning like a metallic snake.

Araegon snatched it out of the air, the heavy iron wrapping tightly around his fist and winding all the way up his arm.

Was he going to use it as a makeshift gauntlet?

The spectators started whispering furiously again. The thing is, I'm usually all ears for gossip, but these people talk way too much.

"How can a slave possess a Zenkaichi ability? And weapon maneuvering, no less—that's one of the rarest types of abilities out there!"

I guess he has it because he actually trains, unlike you lot sitting up here with fat bellies and empty skulls.

Of course, the second my eyes drifted away, the fight instantly resumed.

Araegon hurled the chain from his hand straight toward Namor.

Lord Namor didn't move a single inch. He just reached out and caught the end of the chain barehanded.

Araegon smirked.

(Boom!)

The entire stadium shook with a concussive blast as the end of the chain held in Lord Namor's grip detonated right in his face.
