The Red Star Empress was noticeably more relaxed, likely the effect of the wine she had consumed. Yet, the moment Richard reached for her hand, intending to lead her to the bedroom, she still looked visibly startled.
Richard gave her no time to hesitate. He pulled her with him as he leaped directly from the balcony, and with one swift stride, they were already standing before their inn.
This inn was clearly a favorite for couples; those entering and leaving looked thoroughly satisfied, whispering about the incredible quality of the hot springs. Richard grew even more impatient. He paused only for a moment before pulling the Empress inside and heading straight up the stairs.
She was clearly mortified to be led through the halls like that, especially with the curious glances from the other guests. She tried to exert some of her strength to slow him down, but it was futile—Richard proved to be much stronger.
