Chapter 9 - Meeting a Terrifying Neighbor

I went back to the previous chapters and fixed a few grammar and spelling mistakes to make it flow better.

I've also readjusted his weight to be more accurate to his titanic 9 foot 2 inches stature. This takes into account his reinforced and expanded bone structure and muscle density/volume. For those who don't want to go back and reread, his weight is 1,052lbs or 477.2kg.

Enjoy!

Hearing the knock at his door, he was a little suspicious. Could people have found him already? He cleared his head at that thought as he had full faith in the system protecting his anonymity unless he chose to expose himself.

As he made his way over, he found himself facing off with his current nemesis.

His hallway. Before, when he brought in his All Might Calorie bars, he had to walk sideways just to fit.

The clearance was about 3 feet by his estimation and his shoulder width was a bit beyond that. If he tried to force his way through, he'd likely destroy both walls.

Crouching a bit and moving sideways sucked, but knowing how big and imposing he was filled him with a sense of masculine pride that far outweighed the inconvenience.

Even if he had to replace his couch, surely they made sturdier couches, right? His old world must've had couches that supported 1,000 pounds of weight. They had to have better ones here. Money will soon not be a problem for him anyway. He should probably also invest in a bed too, since he slept on the couch for the past week.

He opened the door and was quite surprised by what he saw.

Izuku and Inko Midoriya at his front door.

This is the problem with not having any or very few memories. Does he know them? Do they know me? This shit sucks.

Inko was about to speak until she took in his form. Over 9 feet tall, outrageously broad with a tight white shirt that left little to the imagination, along with dark gray pants that strained at his quads, and as she moved her eyes upward, she saw a myriad of colors in his eyes with kanji inscribed in them, with long flowing white hair that reached his lower back. She could barely see it due to his frame, and even then, having a perfect V-taper with this build added to his imposing figure.

It wasn't like she was infatuated or even blushing, but rather astonished someone could even be built like this, and lord knows how many All Might videos she watched due to her son. He looked even more built than her son's idol!

Izuku would have been fascinated and launched an inquiry of questions related to his potential quirk, but that astonishment and awe were accompanied by a deep fear and terror. They felt like prey as he looked at both of them. Their bodies locking up in sheer terror at his presence alone.

There was also the "uncanny valley" aspect to him. He was technically an engineering being rather than a quirked individual that was more in line with "natural" and "human". A good metaphor would be that is what like they were looking at a skinwalker; so impossibly like a human but not. They were filled with a transhuman dread by looking at him.

"What can I do for you?" This was the first time Megumi ever spoke to anyone since arriving in this universe.

What should've been a simple question was far more terrifying in reality. With his Primaris Space Marine body, his vocal cords were enhanced and far deeper than what could be considered natural without the influence of a quirk.

They felt his words in their chest, vibrating their very bones with his voice. This only further increased their anxiety, which was already high in the Midoriya family.

The fact that they haven't already run despite being two weak humans was a testament to their character, or they were just scared stiff.

Izuku was the first to break through, as while he felt deeply unsettled and terrified, he also felt that they were being incredibly rude, or maybe he was doing this intentionally. But why?

"I-Is this y-your q-quirk?" Izuku's words stuttered out.

Megumi sighed in exasperation, which only made things worse. 'Maybe I should find some kind of item to suppress this aura and presence I have. I can't possibly interact with people like this.'

"Yes, I have a mutant quirk and I can't turn it off." He was both honest and dishonest with this statement, but it got the point across.

"W-We just wanted t-to welcome you as o-out neighb-bor." Inko squeezed out as she saw her son, who managed. It was slightly hard to understand him as his voice had an unusual quality to it. She also held out some kind of food that was wrapped. "I-I made k-katsudon if you like it."

'So this is the favorite meal of the protagonist?' He looked at it with curiosity. With his enhanced memory, he could recall quite a lot of what he had missed or was hazy in his mind.

"Thank you, I'm Watanabe Megumi." He reached his hand to take the container that completely dwarfed her own hand. The movement instilled a further dread, but they pushed through the best they could.

"O-oh right. We're t-the ones who should b-be introducing o-ourselves. I'm Midoriya I-Inko and this is m-my son, Midoriya Izuku. It's nice t-to meet y-you!" She along with Izuku bowed both feeling bad for feeling fear from someone who can't even control or stop it.

"It's nice t-to meet you! What e-exactly is y-your quirk?" Izuku, despite his feelings, couldn't resist the urge to ask. This was someone even taller than All Might!

"I-Izu!" Inko admonished him, as it could be considered rude to straight up ask someone that upon first meeting.

"S-Sorry!" Izuku clasped his hands over his mouth with the fear intensifying.

'This is already getting old.' Megumi didn't sigh audibly again to spare the two in front of him. Once this was over, he was definitely going to look into something that suppressed this feeling. It didn't even stroke his ego or increase his pride; this was just shitty to deal with.

"It's no problem, Inko-san. My quirk is called Super Soldier, where I was born with extra organs. That's pretty much it." He replied simply. During his week of game development, he also looked through his own Quirk Registry and was surprised that the system updated it and treated the serum as a quirk, but it made sense. No one would believe this was natural, and his real quirk, Creator Resonance, wasn't shown.

"I-I see. Is that w-why he's so large? An organ that dramatically increases size. Is it one organ or multiple? What about muscle density or duplicate organs like hearts or lungs? Does he have new brain functions?" Apparently, his presence couldn't stop his famous mumbling as he didn't stutter as he got into it.

"Izu, y-you're mumbling." Inko slightly shook him out of it with a tired smile.

"O-Oh, sorry!" He scratched the back of his head and laughed a little.

"It's alright. If you must know, then I have 22 new organs, but maybe a further explanation will have to wait for another time." He smiled with mild amusement, and that deeply unsettled them even without meaning to.

"22!" They both exclaim with wide eyes before composing themselves.

"Y-You're right. Maybe a-another time." Izuku smiled with a little less fear, considering that he was one of the very few people who didn't say his mumbling was creepy or weird. Even All Might thought so.

"It was n-nice to meet you, Watanabe-san. Enjoy the k-katsudon." Even though he looked younger than her, Inko still decided to address him with seniority based on the already established feelings both Midoriyas felt.

"I will. People eventually stop feeling such oppression from my quirk with exposure." Megumi explained as he remembered that little tidbit, which made things slightly better to deal with.

They still felt bad, considering most people would never associate with him if they were around him, so how could people stick around to get used to it?

"Oh, I also have gifts for both of you as well. Just a second." Before they could protest, he made his way back sideways and took out four Singularity dives. Since Izuku showed up, it would be a shame not to get some points from him, and his mother should give more than the average person.

He made his way back to the hallway where they stood outside the door waiting.

"These are Singularity Dives!" Izuku momentarily forgot his fear in exchange for awe.

Inko also heard about them on the news and was stunned. Didn't they say they were in limited supply?

"I just happened to get my hands on a few extras and I don't need them, so I'd rather they be put to better use." He smiled slightly and placed them on the ground outside.

"W-we can't possibly take them! They're t-too much!" Inko knew the price of these things. Altogether, they were 310,075 Yen or 2,000 USD.

Izuku also frantically nodded.

"It's as I said. I don't have any friends, so I'd want them to be used. I already have my own." Megumi wasn't going to take no for an answer. If it meant potentially getting over 1,000 coins per hour, then he would feel no shame admitting he has no friends. Should he also say his parents died in a villain attack for good measure?

It seemed that last part was unnecessary as they picked up the boxes with immense gratitude.

"Thank you, Watanabe-san. If you need anything, the door is open." Inko's heartfelt gratitude temporarily melted her fear, along with Izuku.

"Watanabe-san is too nice!" He almost looked like he was going to cry. Actually, that would be both of them.

Both Midoriyas said their goodbyes and walked back to their apartment next door.

Closing the door, he let out a deep sigh that reverberated throughout the whole room.

"How inconvenient." He naturally didn't want to scare others to the point of paralysis with his presence alone. It'd be cool when facing villains, not so much when interacting with people day-to-day.

He really needed a solution. Sitting back down on his deformed couch, he searched through the store and found something.

[Pheremone Control]

Description: An ability that allows you to suppress your aura to an ordinary human or anything in between.

Cost: 10,000 Gamer Coins

This was an affordable option, as Shigaraki just needed to play for ten hours, or Midoriya combined would be 5 hours.

He also looked at something that he previously looked for but couldn't get even with his coupon, as it didn't apply.

[Custodes Serum]

Prerequisite: Primaris Space Marine [x]

Description: Unlike the previous Primaris Space Marines and regular Space Marines, these beings are not mass-produced but rather personally engineered by the Emperor himself from infancy. Custom-built at the genetic, cellular, and neural level. This is the peak of mortal perfection.

Cost: 200,000,000 Gamer Coins

This would be his next gigantic upgrade as a Custodes, but even then, he still wouldn't match up to All Might, even in his injured state, without armor or a weapon.

The next one was truly absurd.

[Primarch Serum]

Prerequisite: Custodes Serum [ ], ???

Description: ???

Cost: 5,000,000,000,000,000(5 Quadrillion) Gamer Coins

He couldn't even see the description or one of the prerequisites. A truly monumental amount that could be possible but no where near easy.

After that was something that truly made him question reality.

[Emperor of Mankind Serum]

Prerequisite: Primarch Serum [ ], ???

Description: ???

Cost: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000(1 Sextillion) Gamer Coins

'...How am I ever supposed to afford that? System, why don't you just tell me to go fuck myself instead?' He laughed to himself. It was truly an outrageously large number, but based on what he knows about the lore, even the Primarch Serum would have him beat All Might. It wouldn't be a stomp, but it would be decisive.

'I wonder if Deku is about to start playing? I could really use the points.' Especially after he saw the truly monstrous requirements.

The Midoriya family placed the boxes in the living room as their bodies felt free of the fear they were unintentionally subjected to.

Thinking back to that whole situation, it was quite surreal that someone could look like that, even with 22 new organs from a mutant quirk.

Ultimately, they felt a little bad.

Inko grew contemplative and came to a decision as she sat on the couch.

The only time I will ever use AI would be in terms of pricing items and power scaling because I'm shit at both. I will never use it for story structure, plot, writing style, or literal chapter creation because that would be very boring and uninspired.

As for the hidden prerequisites, don't worry. I'm going to try and cook a bit and you could only imagine the busted shit a Primarch and Emperor of Mankind can do in this verse.
