Chapter 69 - One Piece: Legend Begins-Chapter 69: Aus: Found You~

And so,

after a brief pause,

the destruction resumed.

Sakazuki seemed to dump all his rage and frustration onto this island that "didn't exist in the world."

The clueless islanders who thought they were safe now plunged back into panic.

Lava bombs filled the sky like a volcanic eruption, crashing down and exploding with violent heat.

No one could survive this disaster-level ability!

After all, not everyone was named Aus.

"Why?! How can the Marines massacre civilians?!"

"Damn it! I just came to Ohara for business!"

"I'm nobility from the neighboring island, you... Ahhh!"

No matter your identity or innocence—indiscriminate destruction rolled on.

In this apocalyptic hellscape, two figures strolled through, witnessing this land destroyed by arrogance (ideals).

Occasionally recording with a Den Den Mushi. No one wanted to interfere, no one dared interfere. After all, Aus had promised the Five Elders this was just for documentation and personal collection—he wouldn't leak the footage.

So,

whether CP or Marines, even the lava bombs raining from above, deliberately avoided the two figures by ten meters.

In this region facing erasure, two silhouettes carved out a ten-meter safety zone.

This miracle was quickly noticed by the surrounding civilians fleeing for their lives, survival instincts cranked to eleven.

They swarmed desperately, trampling former friends and family underfoot just to squeeze into that life-saving safe circle.

Seeing this, neither Marines nor CP9 dared approach, standing at the perimeter with troubled faces, picking off anyone who got squeezed out.

Witnessing this scene, the civilians became even more convinced that staying near these two mysterious figures meant absolute safety.

"Hey... I'm no savior here."

Watching the refugees crowding over, practically rubbing against him, Aus raised an eyebrow.

He wasn't some bleeding heart who'd show mercy and pick fights with the World Government over random people.

If anyone deserved blame for their deaths, it was those ballsy scholars, or at worst the World Government itself.

Definitely not Aus's problem.

"Snap..."

A crisp finger snap rang out. All the noise within ten meters of Aus and Mihawk vanished.

The packed crowd instantly appeared ten meters away. Once the Marines and CP snapped out of it, they immediately moved in.

When the crowd tried rushing back into the safe zone, they discovered in despair that whenever they approached the ten-meter circle, they'd get mysteriously warped dozens to hundreds of meters away!

Even so, some refused to give up, stubbornly charging again and again.

"What tenacious survival instinct..."

Mihawk coldly observed everything, sighing despite himself.

But with his naturally frigid personality, he wouldn't meddle at a time like this.

"That's enough. Time to shove off. Next visit to Ohara won't be for months.

By then, this place should be a ghost island."

Aus tucked the Den Den Mushi back into his coat, then as if sensing something, looked at Mihawk with a weird expression:

"Plus, looks like some brat snuck onto our ship, little hawk."

...

One hour earlier,

Ohara, forest behind the island,

A giant ran across the land with an anguished face. Occasional bombardments hitting the mountains couldn't stop his stride.

Cupped in his palm, a little girl was sobbing her heart out.

"Please, Sauro, I want to stay with mama!"

"I can't, Robin. You have to survive!

Tell everyone that Ohara once fought the world!"

Sauro ran like hell to fulfill Olvia's dying wish!

But with his giant height, he could see clearly—Ohara was completely surrounded.

Sakazuki leading the Buster Call wouldn't let a single ship escape.

Originally, banking on Kuzan's confusion and soft heart, they might've gotten lucky and escaped while Sakazuki stayed off the island.

But Sakazuki was different—right now he only wanted to obliterate everything to complete his mission!

What to do...

How...

Sauro gaped, looking around desperately.

Suddenly, he spotted a lifeline below a cliff.

Not docked at the harbor, the Oro Jackson sat beneath this cliff. With Aus's massive Observation Haki blanketing the area, no worry about theft.

Seeing this ship, Sauro hatched a desperate plan.

Risky as hell, but this was the last shot!

At least...

Meeting "Black Gun" might mean survival. Staying on the island meant certain death!

Decision made, Sauro took a running leap and dove straight into the sea below as little Robin screamed from the freefall.

Half-submerged in the ocean, Sauro placed Robin on the Oro Jackson's deck, worry creasing his features:

"Robin, quick—hide in the cabin!"

Hearing this, little Robin cried while clinging to the ship's rail, reaching toward Sauro with tears streaming: "No, don't leave me here alone!"

But despite Robin's desperate pleas, Sauro steeled his heart and slowly backed away from the Oro Jackson.

"Robin, listen good. On all of Ohara, only 'Black Gun' Aus can protect you from the World Government and Marines.

Only by staying on this ship will they not dare touch you.

You have to survive, Robin!"

Just like that, Sauro was gone. Robin had no clue where he went.

All she could do was follow Sauro's final orders—sneak into the cabin, find a barrel, and crawl inside.

Her tiny body curled up tight, tears still flowing.

Crying herself to sleep in there.

After who knows how long,

footsteps jolted her awake. Heart pounding, she didn't dare move—the footsteps sounded close. She could barely make out conversation:

"Next stop, let's visit the old man...

Been years since we've seen each other. Time to head back to New World turf."

"Going through Reverse Mountain and Fish-Man Island?"

"Nah. Just came from Sabaody—going back for coating's too much hassle."

"Straight through the Calm Belt then, or if there's a shorter route, we could fly the ship over the Red Line."

The chat went on briefly, followed by doors opening and closing.

Little Robin figured the two had left and slowly let out her breath, instantly relaxing.

But the next second,

the lid above suddenly popped open!

A mischievously grinning handsome face appeared overhead, scaring little Robin white as a sheet, nearly fainting:

"Gotcha. Found you~"
