On another part of the battlefield a human shrine warrior by the name of Bolst and another elite human by the name of Jonathan were battling a group of weak mercenaries.
Bolst had already levelled up to level 6 whilst Jonathan had gone up by two levels to level 4.The mercenaries had started off by going for the weaker human.This didn't go too well as Jonathan possessed the epic rank level 2 regeneration skill.
If it was just regeneration though then it wouldn't be so difficult.Whenever Jonathan made skin contact with his opponents they suffered the same injuries they inflicted on Jonathan.They would also grow pale as though they were losing life force whenever he made contact with them.
To add the cherry on top Jonathan was also healing Bolst and keeping him alive.Bolst had to admit that he had looked down on Jonathan as weaker at first but he was a tremendous help in battle.
"Damn it how do we kill these two?"
A female moon elf mercenary by the name of Salhiel of the crescent moon mercenary group worriedly asked.
A number of moon elf mercenaries and miners had already been killed by these two.They had also attacked in broad daylight and with zero hesitation.With the lack of a moon in the sky and the sheer destruction taking place the omens were not looking good.
Salhiel used a martial technique to send an arc in the shape of a crescent moon towards the two creatures.The stronger one responded by using his own slash attack to cancel it out.
Salhiel reached into her pouch and took out a pill of the moon.It was a special type of cultivation pill that could boost the abilities of any moon elf that consumed it.It did come with side effects though.
A sweet taste permeated Salhiel's mouth as she consumed it.A surge of power echoed throughout her body and being.She exploded into motion and let out a sabre thrust.
The creature wearing tribal wear proceeded to activate some type of spell without a chant.That was all he could do though.Some type of spectral leopard armour appeared on his body.
The sabre thrust was able to pierce the spectral leopard armour and launched the creature through a nearby building.The building collapsed with the creature still within it.
Salhiel instantly moved to attack the weaker one.She was a step in front of it when he was only starting to react.Jonathan didn't try to dodge since the speed difference was so high.He let out a punch and got his arm sliced off at the elbow.
Salhiel began too feel a phantom pain in her own corresponding arm but years working as a mercenary had hardened her to such things.Jonathan moved to grab the moon elf with his remaining arm which was promptly sliced off too.
Salhiel wanted to finish him off yet it was not meant to be.Bolst had gotten out from under the collapsed building and returned to battle.His speed appeared to have increased to equal Salhiels own probably from the result of some sort of martial art or consuming some sort of pill or elixir.
Bolst and Salhiel engaged in combat.Both warriors appeared equal yet Salhiel held the edge in skill and experience.Bolst tried to close the gap by using martial art type skills such as epic rank leopard slash shower and epic rank leopard jawbite thrust.Bolst was clearly using more mana though.
"It appears I am the superior warrior you beast."
Salhiel snarkily commented as cuts began to appear on Bolst's muscular physique whilst she only had three cuts.Her associates had already killed the crippled one as he had been on the floor bleeding out.
Salhiel did note with interest that the creatures body simply dissipated and in its place was a scroll which her associates had picked up.There was also what appeared to be blood essence.
Salhiel smirked at the remaining dungeon creature despite the questions in her mind.She was startled to see that the dungeon creature was also looking at the blood essence on the ground with interest.
Bolst used a movement type skill to charge towards the mob drop.This skill only increased movement speed and not reaction speed hence he didn't use it during the close quarters battle.
Salhiels associates panicked witnessing the dungeon monster speedily encroaching their destination.They turned and fled.Being mercenaries they did not want to risk certain death for a mere mining settlement that was on the verge of falling.
Bolst picked up the blood essence.His instincts had told him to pick it up for something good to happen.In his hands the blood essence vibrated slightly before dissappearing.A golden glow covered his body.

Salhiel sensed that Bolst's strengh had undergone a quality and quantity increase if his presence was anything to go by.
