The bustling streets of Shrek City.
Inside a private room at a hotel—
"So? Have you gathered all the evidence?"
Sitting in a chair, Neuvillette turned his head toward a man of about twenty standing beside him.
"It's all here. In this stack, there are at least two hundred people who have voluntarily signed their names. Many of them were permanently crippled because of that slut Zhou Yi—injuries that left them stuck at Soul King or, at best, Soul Emperor for the rest of their lives."
The man's face twisted into something savage.
"Once Shrek Academy expels her, we'll make her understand the true meaning of cruelty!"
Neuvillette pressed his lips together and casually flipped through a few of the lists.
Many surnames looked familiar—descendants of great clans or noble families.
The densely packed names even made him feel a faint chill.
This Zhou Yi… she'd harmed far too many people.
Back when he read the original novel, he already thought there was something off about this teacher.
During training, she would have students run themselves to the brink of collapse; those who lagged behind were eliminated. In the end, barely half the class would remain.
And what was more frightening was that this was with Huo Yuhao's plot armor—allowing "only" half the class to be expelled.
If it had been under normal circumstances, the washout rate would have been two-thirds or even higher!
And all of this was simply to cover up her manipulation of "pass rates."
She would weed out the merely talented, keeping only the elite among elites, and thus the pass rate for the later stages would look terrifyingly high.
"At the time, she pushed me to train desperately, then put on a false show of concern by bringing in a Soul Sage-level healing-type soul master to 'restore' us, but—"
The man gritted his teeth, struggling to keep his emotions in check.
"Her so-called healing couldn't repair the hidden injuries built up from years of grinding the human body to its absolute limit!"
"I even sought out one of my clan's elders, who in turn found the Star Luo Empire's most top-tier healing-type soul master. But he just shook his head and told me that for the rest of my life, the damage to my legs would never fully heal!"
"These kinds of chronic injuries, accumulated over years, can only be completely cured with the world's most extraordinary spirit medicines. At best, what he could do was suppress the pain and restore some function…"
Watching the man's near-loss of composure, Neuvillette gave a slight nod.
He tapped his staff lightly against the ground.
A soft blue light rose up, enveloping the man.
Gentle droplets of water drifted through the air, warm and comforting like sunlight on the skin.
A few minutes later, the glow faded.
The man stared in shock, then suddenly bent over to examine his legs. His face erupted into joy.
"It's healed! You've healed my legs!!!"
"This…"
Seeing him stumble over his words in excitement, Neuvillette waved a hand dismissively.
"This is Shrek Academy's fault. For every student who has suffered such harm, I will treat them one by one."
"As the Holy Son of the Sea God's Pavilion, I consider it my duty."
"And as for Zhou Yi—believe me, I won't let her off easily. But the Academy is still investigating other teachers like her. When the time is right, all these parasites will be ripped out by the roots—none will remain."
"You can also go back and tell the others to be patient."
"Yes, yes! I understand! Rest assured, before the Academy makes its move, I'll make sure they all keep their heads down!"
The man nodded fervently, then hurried off, joy written all over his face.
Neuvillette leaned back in his chair and let out a quiet sigh.
His gaze followed the man's retreating figure through the window, his expression gradually turning grave.
"One single [Judgment] can restore some of the Ancient Dragon Authority… but even now, I've recovered less than ten percent…"
Restoring the Ancient Dragon Authority was indeed difficult. It had taken him years to figure out even the basics of the [Judgment] mechanism.
First—he had to preside over the [Judgment] personally for it to have any effect on restoring his authority.
Second—the number of people who witnessed the [Judgment], its fairness, and the level of discussion it generated afterward would all influence how much of the Ancient Dragon Authority was restored.
Back in the Inner Court, his obsession with [Judgment] had earned him the nickname "The Executor."
Choosing Zhou Yi as his target wasn't just personal dislike—she was a textbook example.
Once her crimes were exposed to the public, the uproar would be massive, a veritable storm of controversy.
So whether for the sake of those crippled students, or for the restoration of his Ancient Dragon Authority, he had to act with care.
He picked up the list again, flipping through a few more pages.
A quiet sigh escaped him.
No matter how far the Douluo world advanced, it still couldn't escape the limitations of the human body. No matter how high one's cultivation climbed, childhood injuries could not simply be erased.
Even an Ultimate Douluo couldn't regrow a severed limb—how much less a Soul King or Soul Emperor.
In the first Douluo series, even the Shrek Seven Devils had needed immortal herbs to purge their hidden injuries.
"Zhou Yi still has someone backing her. Looks like it's because of him that the Academy hasn't pursued the matter more harshly."
Neuvillette raised a brow.
"The deputy head of the Soul Tool Department…"
