Bleach was a fictional world, wasn't it? How, and why, was he now in a different form?
Did she only just regain her memories, or was her male self a seperate entity entirely, after much thinking, she arrived at a conclusion 'No we were two different souls, but after arriving here, our souls merged, to create something new.' than—Her stomach growls, hunger, but she was never hungry before, only when she was a human in her past life, and here only people with spiritual power felt hunger—could this now mean that she has spiritual power?
Why now? Could the fusion of souls have triggered this? This was irrelevant; having spiritual power was a blessing, but what she had to do now was eat!

"Do you want it?" he asked, handing her a dumpling. Taking the dumpling, she thanked him and asked for his name. "My name is Sousuke, Sousuke Aizen" he responded while smiling back at her.
