I calmly relax against my chair as I smirk seeing Kitty is the first to not just download the game but also to load it up and it started a live stream. I watch as the girl appeared in the white spans of the loading chamber and began her customary greeting.
Kitty:"greetings my lovely kittens my name is Kitty as all of you veterans may know and that is my interjection to you newbies pleasure to make your acquaintance and hope you stay for a long time anyway a friend of mine has just made a game for the full dive system call Titanfall. And he asked me to try it out and give opinions about it. So I decided to show off my friend's creation to all of you."
I chuckle as I saw the short petite girl one would accurately describe her as a loil. But like many anime tropes she is a real life example since she was 21 years old.
I chuckled softly as I saw her load up the introduction screen which made me smile with nostalgia.
Kitty pov
As I load up the game I quietly simply sway myself absolutely as I spoke to chat.
"All right everyone from what my friend warrior of sunlight told me about his game that there's two modes one for single player and the other for multiplayer but multiplayer is locked behind the single player campaign."
I said joyfully when the screen finally uploaded I was met with a screen that says male or female. Obviously being a cute girl I chose female. Not just for that but also because it's just uncomfortable to play a male protagonist with the full dive system. Because no matter what your build height or features are if the protagonist is meant to be one gender and you're of the oxygener the digital body it will construct for you to play will basically just be a genderbend version of yourself. Matching your details in everything but gender. Which is why most games nowadays will give you an option between the two so you can choose to buy that you could comfortably play with on the game.
After that choice I was met with a cinematic. Scene of soldiers hiding behind cover and firing Linda screen blacked out from a second before I see someone running forward.
Cooper: of all the things I've seen on the battlefield of the frontier. The pilot is the true dominant Force.
I started blankly as I saw the figured use a jump pack to jump over something I couldn't quite catch. Same time I couldn't help but Wonder what made this pilot so special. Seeing them laying on the ground I stare blankly as I saw them slide and as they were sliding they tossed a grenade above them while pulling the pin before slang through what seemed to be a very busted up piece of concrete.
Cooper: fast and agile.
I then saw the figure this so-called pilot while sliding pulled out pistol and with one bullet a piece killed two soldiers only need to stop sliding and jump forward and plan a mean haymaker on another soldier.
Cooper: graceful yet devastating.
I then saw him spin around to grab what seem to be some form of robot before breaking it only to spin around and then with a guy running up on the pilot he's been around flipping the guy onto his back before turning back to the Droid and kicked it which seem to shut it off. Before doing a spin and shoving a knife into the soldier from before his neck killing him.
Cooper: perceptive resourceful and relentless.
I couldn't help a dumbstruck look on my face seeing the pilot maneuver
Cooper: a pilot sees the world differently. Shear walls become flinking routes.
I didn't saw the pilot use a grappling hook to reach a vertical wall and started running across it before jumping forward to break through a window while being chased by bullet fire.
Cooper: pilots fight differently
I couldn't help myself as I helplessly watch the pilots in a projection down the hall only to break down a side door killing a soldier before going forth to kill another. I then saw the hologram run down the hallway that was initially in front of the pilot.
Cooper experience and deception and maneuvering... Even overwhelming odd shift in their favor.
I watched a soldiers ran around the corner from the other end of the hall taking pot shots at the hologram only for the last guy in the back to get tackled through a concrete wall by the pilot his gun being picked up and used to shoot his comrades. I then saw him turn around and started running towards an open section of the building and jumped.
Cooper but what truly separates the pilot from all the grunts and machines of the battlefield.
Seeing something in the sky seem to explode or something being dropped I couldn't tell which for a second before I saw a giant machine fall from the sky and landed in front of the pilot. I saw the pilot running towards it before being grabbed and put into the cockpit.
Cooper: Is the bond between a pilot and their Titan.
I then saw the Titan turn around as its arms start glowing and producing an energy shield I've seen the air shield form catching bullets mid flight. my eyes couldn't help a widen in shock after all those were damn bullets could technology really become advanced like that my eyes widen even further when I saw the Titan did not just tank a rocket shot but use the explosion destroy debris to kick up a storm with their shield and swinging it to their side and have it destroy the building the guy that shot them with a rocket was on.
I then saw in another Titan slam the ground creating what seem to be some kind of propellant Force towards the pilot in his Titan. And then saw the pilot in his Titan catch the gun of the enemy Titan before disarming him and shooting the cockpit destroying them
Cooper: when linked to a Titan... A pilot can only be stopped by an overwhelming Force or an equal.
Sing another Titan appear with a large blade in hand I couldn't help but get excited after all I wasn't much for sci-fi and war games as most of my fan base would probably attest to I'm much more preferred games like stardew valley games could be grindy sometimes but they were fun to me. But this this got me excited because of how amazing everything was I didn't know how sunlight did all this on his own but I'll be certain to beat the game just out of respect for all the work you must have put in who knows how long he's been trying to develop this game.
I didn't saw the enemy time prepare with swords only to see the pilot Titan drop their gun and repair to go fisticuffs against the enemy Titan
Cooper: the frontier has been the only home I've ever known..... For years our lands have been destroyed by the IMC. Forcely taking our resources polluting and destroying our planets and killing us off if we try to resist. Despite recent victories demeter and beyond. we have a long way to go before the IMC is defeated.
Is there an all at the cutscene that proceed to play out shocked by how and just what seems to be about a minute 30 so far since the cutscene started that so much could be depicted and shown how Grand the scale is as I saw more battlefields and even a space battle. That all that was happening probably at the same time.
Cooper:now... I serve as a rifleman in the militia. fighting to free the frontier. I am a long way from becoming a pilot.
I quietly just sat there watching the cutscene play out as I saw the pilot Titan and the cutscene fight against the blade Titan with nothing but their fisticuffs.
Cooper: but when that day comes I hope I can live up to the honor.
I didn't saw what seemed to be one final clash between the pilot Titan and the sword Titan before the screen suddenly goes to Black. It was in a few seconds as I saw the actual game appear on my gameplay is now I was in the body of the character. As the vision fills my screen I saw would seem to be an old man who I assume was probably the pilot was from the cut scene that played before.
Latimosa:"here we go rifleman Cooper."
I saw the old man walk up to whatever the hell I was sitting in touch the button on the side and the hatch started to go down
Latiamosa:"ah hell the ship must have power cycled the Sim pods last since last time we have to recalibrate it."
As the pod closes then it started having me look up and down left to right following a red dot around the pod. Then I heard Latiamosa
"Is that feel right to you Cooper"
I spoke up loud and clear.
"Yeah everything's all right"
Soon enough after a few seconds the pod lit up and I found myself in a virtual space I couldn't help but smile and look around as I saw a beautiful place but I couldn't really describe with many words but a boundless beautiful valley. I didn't really pay attention to the dialogue for much absently noting that this IMC seems to be a bunch of real jerks.
Then I went through like it only assume was to understand the combat movements while running shooting grenades etc all it was really interesting as I approached the gauntlet I noticed there was two different tabs on a Time scoreboard. The first one had the words campaign and was automatically opened when I tapped the second option which said global I saw there was no time whatsoever on it. Which I couldn't help a thought that this was probably something of a competition between other players. I ran through the gauntlet after picking out my weapons and feeling how they shoot and how the reload them. Since there is no reload button you have to manually and realistically reload it. After testing them out I didn't bother looking at a assault rifle I just grabbed it. Fired it a few times reloaded before running the gauntlet it took me about 40 seconds to actually run through the whole thing and I end up only shooting scent targets which the time penalty not up my final score to about 70 seconds which did not increase my position on the leaderboard at all. Angry I huffed before running through the several times getting marginally better until the best time I could get well consecutively killing all 15 enemies. Was 35 seconds which place me at 4th place.
When I looked at the global ranking I saw a screen pop up and said I could put a name into the bar I chose Kitty and then I saw it with my time of 35 seconds. Nodding my head I walked up to Latiamosa
