Returning to the scene of Andromalius defeating the Seraph Empyrean, he found the area before him engulfed in a massive explosion by the nuclear blast.
Wiping off the dust from his suit, Andromalius scanned around the desolate land for a moment before his eyes soon landed on what he was searching for.
Floating in the air were four small orbs that emit demonic essence.
"Defeated by mere human weapons? Why are all of you so incompetent," he sighed and shook his head in disappointment before pocketing those orbs. "You should've given me better generals, Azaroth."
Despite the apparent "death" of his four strongest demons, he still commanded millions of demons summoned from the [Eyes of Terror], powerful enough to destroy the whole world.
"My demon army! Forward! When dawn approaches, I want this entire country erased from existence!"
With a single order, thousands upon thousands of demons started moving forward to conquer more territories and devoured everything in their path.
But as the demons advanced, almost immediately flickers of light appeared in the sky as another wave of nuclear missiles were launched into the heavens from all directions and falling towards the place of the demon army, pummeling them with numerous explosions that could wipe out cities off the map.
"Hahaha! Again with this? These humans never seemed to learn. We're virtually immune to such attacks, much less it only affects the lesser ones of the demon army," Andromalius laughed. At his current level, none of the nuclear bombs made him feel any slightest pain at all.
For the demon army below him, most of them seemed to be able to survive the nuclear blast. It was because unlike the legions led by his fallen subordinates, Andromalius' army were the primary force, the ones who emerged from the space rift, known as the [Eye of Terror], in the sky.
These demons were composed entirely of monsters of the Transcendent Tier-3, with the weakest of being at Transcendent Tier-2.
Therefore, this was supposed to be the force the Demon Lord had assembled to invade higher-level worlds.
Many of his demons were at the level that could rival many powerful beings of this world, and were also Spiritual Lifeforms.
Weapons of mass destruction or not, none of them could kill something at a soul level unless they wielded Soul Manipulation Magic, which the Austronesia Empire almost lacked.
Suddenly the barrage of nuclear bombs suddenly stopped. To the surprise of Andromalius, a fast-moving object of what seemed like their flying iron dragon that did not flap its wings, was heading straight for the army.
"Pitiful. Is that all you humans have? I expected you to send more of those flying arrows. It seems you have already exhausted your arsenal and reverted back to the old methods," he chuckled darkly, "Humans are so desperate, and I love it."
Unfortunately for Andromalius, he made a fatal mistake. By assuming that the humans would use the same weapons again and not change something into a much deadlier weapon, he underestimated their ingenuity.
"My legions. Shoot it down when it gets within range," Andromalius ordered nonchalantly, not bothering to intervene himself.
The march resumed as planned, or so he thought. Before the iron dragon could come within range, it immediately released its payload. The payload was so fast that the demons couldn't able to intercept it.
The payload arrived on the top of the army of Andromalius. Just as it was about to impact, the Demon Lord raised his hand and froze the payload midair.
"Hm?"
For a mere second, Andromalius was able to sense something unusual.
"What is this... strange feeling?" he wondered. His eyes glowed with otherworldly light as he examined the object, looking through its components and anything contained inside.
And that is where that made him widened his eyes in shock by what he had discovered.
"What? Why does this object contain the-...?"
Before he was able to utter what he wanted to say...
Ting!
With a strange sound, the bomb detonated, and Andromalius could only watch in stunned silence as the power of the weapon was unleashed upon him and his army.
And what he saw was beyond belief.
He could not believe it.
He could just not.
His entire army. The most powerful force that had ever walked the earth, a million troops capable of easily conquering worlds.
All had been erased from the face of the planet.
"How...?" He mumbled, squeezing the handle of his sword so tightly that his fingers turned ashen.
He began to feel a tingling in his shoulder, followed by a tic, a tremor that ran all over his arm. It took him a few seconds to realize that he was paralyzed with fear.
"How can simple human beings have something so devastating...?"
As he uttered these words, his vision went dark.
