Chapter 66 - Chapter 66: The Red Ogre and the Blue Ogre

"Gegyagyagyagya! True, having multiple titles doesn't conflict at all!" Dorry laughed, his booming voice vibrating the ground.

"Welcome, Dorry! Drink as much as you want! We have plenty of wine on our ship. It should be enough to satisfy you both for a while," Bardock smiled.

Looking at the two colossal warriors, Bardock couldn't help but marvel at the natural physical advantages of the Giant race. Their lifespans were three times longer than normal humans. Dorry and Brogy had been fighting on this island for nearly a hundred years, yet they still looked like they were in the absolute prime of their physical youth. They were already in their late fifties when they first started this duel!

"Hoho! Don't underestimate the alcohol tolerance of a Giant, little human! We'll drink you dry! Gegyagyagyagya!" Dorry cheered, his mood instantly improving. He genuinely wished every day could be like this.

The group happily feasted on the roasted dinosaur meat and drank the premium wine. During the meal, Bardock casually asked if they happened to possess a fully charged Log Pose.

Dorry and Brogy simply shrugged. They mentioned there might be some scattered around the island from dead pirates, but they didn't know for sure. Because they possessed an Eternal Pose leading straight to Elbaf, they had never bothered to collect normal Log Poses.

BOOOOOOM!

Suddenly, a massive explosion echoed across the island. The central volcano erupted violently, spewing thick plumes of black smoke and molten lava into the sky.

Brogy instantly dropped his massive chunk of meat and grabbed his colossal battle axe and shield. "Gabababababa! The horn of battle has sounded! Let's go, Dorry!"

Dorry also set down his wine barrel, hefting his massive longsword and shield. "The title of Elbaf's Greatest Warrior belongs to me! Today is the day I defeat you, Brogy!"

"I am Elbaf's Greatest Warrior!" "The winner claims the title!" "UOOOOOOH!"

The two Giants marched to the massive clearing in the center of the jungle, roaring battle cries as they charged at each other, instantly engaging in a terrifying, earth-shattering duel.

Watching from the sidelines, Bardock raised an eyebrow. This wasn't a friendly sparring match; this was a genuine, life-or-death struggle.

Brogy's axe and Dorry's sword were swung with lethal, mountain-shattering force, aimed deliberately at each other's vital organs. Every single strike was intended to kill.

However, because they had been fighting each other every single day for almost a century, they had completely memorized every single one of their opponent's techniques, habits, and microscopic flaws. Every lethal strike was flawlessly parried, and every devastating counterattack was perfectly blocked.

To use modern gamer terminology: They couldn't break each other's guard!

"What... what is wrong with them?!" Perona shrieked, clutching her parasol tightly as the shockwaves of the Giant's clash ruffled her dress. "One second they were happily drinking and eating together, and the next they're trying to murder each other?! I don't understand their logic at all!"

"Bardock, you definitely know the reason, don't you?" Robin asked, turning to the captain.

"The entire century-long war started because of a simple question from a human little girl," Bardock explained, his eyes tracking the massive clash of steel. "Nearly a hundred years ago, Dorry and Brogy were the co-captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates, the most feared pirate crew in the world. They were known as 'Brogy the Red Ogre' and 'Dorry the Blue Ogre'. Even in that era, before inflation and the Great Pirate Era, their bounties were already 100 million Berries each. That alone should tell you how terrifying they were."

"One day, they both hunted down massive Sea Kings. A little human girl asked them: 'Which one of your catches is bigger?'" Bardock paused, letting the sheer absurdity of the premise sink in. "And because neither of them was willing to concede that their catch was smaller, they decided to settle it with a duel to the death."

The crew reacted with varying degrees of utter disbelief.

Mansherry and Perona thought the Giants were completely insane. Why would anyone fight a life-or-death battle over something so trivial?! Wasn't there anything better to do with a hundred years of their lives?!

Leo and Sai, however, were deeply moved. Their eyes sparkled with admiration. 'This is a true man's romance! To fight for absolute honor and never fear death!'

Daz Bonez remained stoic, analyzing the Giants' combat techniques. Robin, however, fixated on a very specific detail. "Bardock... what happened to that little girl?"

Bardock shook his head. "No one knows. But after the Giant Warrior Pirates lost their two captains, the crew fell into disarray and eventually disbanded. There is a very prominent rumor that the little girl was actually an undercover agent sent by the World Government explicitly to sow discord and dismantle the crew from within. Unfortunately, it's been ninety years. Dorry and Brogy likely don't even remember the reason they started fighting anymore. They just fight for the sake of fighting."

The battle raged on for a long time. Eventually, their massive weapons were knocked out of their hands, transitioning the fight into a brutal, bare-knuckle brawl with their shields. Finally, completely exhausted and covered in bruises, the two Giants collapsed simultaneously onto the jungle floor, unable to stand.

"Battle number seventy-three thousand, four hundred and sixty-seven," Dorry panted heavily. "Draw number seventy-three thousand, four hundred and sixty-seven," Brogy finished the sentence.

For a moment, there was silence. Then, both Giants burst into roaring laughter.

"Gegyagyagyagya! Looks like we'll have to continue this tomorrow, Brogy!" "Gabababababa! You better prepare yourself, Dorry! I'll definitely win next time!"

After resting on the ground for a bit, the two Giants casually walked back to the camp and resumed eating and drinking, acting exactly like the best of friends. It was as if the brutal, bloody deathmatch had never even happened.

"Dorry, Brogy," Bardock spoke up during a lull in the conversation. "Once you two have fully recovered, how about fighting a match against me?"

"You? A little human?" Dorry looked down at Bardock and laughed good-naturedly. "No offense, kid, but you can't handle it. The physical strength of the Giant race is on a completely different scale. I admire your courage, but I have to decline."

"Gababababa! That's right, Bardock. Whenever we Giants fight, we fight with absolute, full-powered killing intent!" Brogy added, trying to dissuade the boy. "If we fought you, you might actually die!"

Bardock didn't argue. He simply activated his Mythical Zoan Fruit, transforming into his Beast-Human Monkey King form. Utilizing the 'Size Manipulation' ability, his body rapidly expanded until he was twenty meters tall—standing eye-to-eye with the two colossal warriors.

"How about now?" Bardock's deep, resonant voice rumbled through the clearing. "Am I qualified for a match now?"

"You're a Devil Fruit user!" Dorry gasped, his eyes widening as he looked at the massive golden ape.

"An Animal-type! And it looks like a Mythical Beast, too!" Brogy noted, deeply impressed by the sheer density of the aura radiating from Bardock.

Dorry and Brogy exchanged a solemn look.

"If you truly wish to test your strength against us, we have no reason to refuse," Dorry said, his voice echoing with absolute seriousness. "However, under the watchful eyes of the God of Elbaf, we will hold nothing back. We will fight with the absolute intent to kill. Do you understand?"

"Perfect. I wouldn't have it any other way," Bardock grinned, his golden eyes flashing with excitement. "Since you two just exhausted yourselves, let's schedule the match for tomorrow!"

Bardock wasn't afraid of the Giants taking the fight seriously; he was afraid they wouldn't. Now that Dorry and Brogy had agreed to go all out, he was absolutely thrilled.

"Tomorrow it is!" Brogy laughed, raising his barrel.

Dorry downed the last drop of wine in his barrel, let out a massive, satisfied burp, and stood up. "I'll come back tomorrow morning. I need to head back to my camp and rest."

"Brogy, we'll take our leave as well," Bardock said, shrinking back down to his normal human size. "Since we still have daylight, we're going to explore the jungle a bit more. We'll see you tomorrow."

Bardock gathered his crew and headed deeper into the prehistoric rainforest. Even though he had secured a Vivre Card for Drum Island and still held Moria's Vivre Card, he genuinely wanted to explore. Who knew what kind of rare loot or fully charged Log Poses they might find left behind by doomed pirate crews?

"Ah! Look! It's a Triceratops!" Perona squealed, pointing at a massive, three-horned dinosaur grazing in a clearing. She had initially been terrified of the jungle, but now she was treating it like a prehistoric petting zoo. "Bardock! Can we keep it as a pet?!"

"Absolutely not," Bardock rejected the idea instantly. "Do you have any idea how much a Triceratops eats? It's an herbivore. We don't have anywhere near enough grass on the White Dragon to feed it. Besides, a dinosaur that heavy would probably snap the ship's keel."

"Hmph! Kumashi is still the best! He never needs to eat, and he doesn't need anyone to take care of him!" Perona pouted, crossing her arms defensively.

"Bardock, I've found something," Robin reported, her eyes closed in concentration as she utilized the phantom eyes and ears she had sprouted throughout the jungle. "There's an old, completely stranded pirate ship about two miles north of here. Should we check it out?"

"What are we waiting for? Time to open some blind boxes!" Bardock cheered, immediately taking the lead.

"What's a 'blind box'?" Sai asked in confusion.

"It doesn't matter, just follow me!"

Despite the lethal predators lurking in the jungle, Bardock's crew carved a completely safe path through the dense vegetation, quickly arriving at the site of the stranded ship.
