"Haha, thank you again, Miss Cecily. Your skill seems to have grown these days," said Martin.
To say she had improved was an understatement. Even Ryan was surprised, although he had expected it, considering that Cecily is a great specialist in Inanimate Destiny.
But she was much better than he remembered from the novel.
The accuracy with which she revealed the number of Kazaks, beasts, and humans passing through in the last few hours was terrifying, especially considering that she could only see the rocks on the ground and their shadows to tell.
Cecily nodded quietly at his response. "What shall we do?" she asked.
"The building in the center is where the breach appeared, so that's the one we should investigate. But the other two buildings aren't that far away and might have things of interest to us, so while you two keep watch on the central building, Samuel and I will go to the other two buildings for a quick investigation."
"Do we just have to keep watch? We can go in. My forces are relatively close by," she replied.
"Hm." Martin considered it slowly before nodding. "All right, but be careful. The middle building used to be a hospital, so it's the perfect place for powerful beasts to hide because of its many rooms and large basements."
"Haha, don't worry. I'll keep Ryan from doing anything stupid," she said, and without waiting for further words, she pulled Ryan away to run off.
Martin watched them leave and began to laugh a little. "Young people are always addicted to adventure," he said, patting Samuel on the back.
"Write a good story about it, okay? Dear writer," he said.
"The one I'm writing now will surely be your favorite," Samuel replied, watching him leave.
"Oh, so you're already working on one. Okay, when will it be out?" Martin glanced at him sideways.
"In about ten years, maybe."
"Ten years? That long?" Martin rolled his eyes. "Can't you hurry it up? It's boring to wait that long. I don't even know if I'll be alive by then."
"Hahaha, then do your best to stay alive until then, leader. Good stories take time to come out," Samuel replied casually.
"Haha, damn it. I'll try, but I can't promise anything." After that, Martin hurried toward the building on the right, while Samuel went toward the one on the left.
They weren't really far apart because both buildings belonged to the same hospital, only they were on opposite corners of the lot where it was built. So they wouldn't be going very far.

"This moss is really annoying," Ryan said, brushing off some of the moss that had stuck to his hand just from opening the hospital's front door.
"It's a beast, after all, so be careful," Cecily reminded him, passing by him first.
On the other side was a huge hospital room, but it was completely desolate. Moss covered every section of the walls, chairs, tables, and doors, while some things were destroyed.
The walls were not only stained with moss, but there was also a lot of blood and body parts scattered around the place, the result of what must have been a huge one-sided massacre.
"This place hasn't been investigated," Ryan said, looking at the footprints on the floor. "But there seem to be beasts inside."
"Oh? I didn't know you were an expert at detecting magical footprints." Cecily looked at him, stunned.
He laughed sheepishly. "Experts don't walk the streets, and everyone makes fun of them. So that word sounds too grand for me."
"Tsk, I can't deny that." She started walking inside.
Ryan followed behind, looking at the footprints and telling her where not to go.
This hospital building was huge and quite modernized. Spiritual electricity lamps hung in every hallway, the doors had some security, and everything was fortified with spirituality.
"I've never heard of this hospital before," said Cecily, frowning as she tried to open a door. "Why all the spiritual security? Was it some kind of mental hospital?"
She forced the door open, and it slid aside smoothly, as if its destroyed surroundings had not affected it.
When Cecily looked inside, she was speechless.
Ryan frowned from behind before entering. 'Insane asylum? It can't be... there aren't any in the capital...' he thought.
But then something clicked in his mind, and his body shuddered.
He remembered an event, a very important one!
This place existed in the novel, but it wasn't a hospital. It was supposed to be a housing complex. The mystery of the breach appearing there was closely linked to the local inhabitants.
But...
If it turned out to be a hospital...
His body trembled, and he quickly stepped forward. "Cecily, let's get out of here, quick!" he shouted, frightened.
The room on the other side was like something out of an asylum. There was a bed with chains firmly and tightly fastened with spiritual energy. The bed wasn't too big, but there was a lot of blood staining its white sheets.
The chains, firmly and tightly fastened with spirituality, had been broken with agility, so it was presumed that the patient treated in this room had escaped.
A huge beast was staring at them, hanging from the ceiling with its hands firmly attached to the ceiling.
It was strange, giant, and very horrible. It had six arms like sharp weapons that extended from its two heads, one above the other.
None of these heads could see because they had no eyes, only a large mouth from which a tongue protruded, moving like a snake. The tongues looked flaccid but dangerous.
Above these two strange heads was a human head looking down at them. This head could turn 360 degrees on its own body. It had one eye fixed on them, while the other was just a recently made hole.
One eye was rolling on the ground, meaning the beast had ripped out its own eye.
It was a level 2 beast.
But not just any beast. The human head on top of it revealed a terrifying theme: it was a mutated human.
It was already looking at them as soon as they looked at it.
Ryan had to quickly pull Cecily back behind the wall, which immediately exploded from an attack by the beast.
"Run, it's too dangerous to stay here!" Ryan roared, but Cecily had already taken out her draconic staff.
"Run? From a measly level 2 beast? That's not in my books." Cecily smiled coldly and stood up to face the beast.
"You can run with the hole I'll make. Tell Mr. Martin there are mutated beasts here!" she shouted, swinging her staff and moving it forward, striking the shadows before her.
Faced with the blow, the mutated beast staggered backward, and its shadow split in two, directly affecting its flesh. The shadow also exposed the room where it had been standing, leaving a gap through which someone could escape.
At the same time, three shadow summons appeared around Cecily.
"Time to play, my little shadows."
