Chapter 10 - A powerful Kazak

Even if he could miraculously dodge the iron stake, he would still break his legs from falling from such a height.

That's why he acted immediately. At that moment, a poisonous potion appeared in his hand, and he threw it with all his strength at the tip of the iron stake; it hit the tip, and the glass broke, spraying the corrosive poison all over the stake.

Then his body began to fall.

With all his strength, he moved to one side, and when the stake should have impaled him, he passed by it, managing to avoid being impaled. Even so, this put him in danger of falling and breaking his legs, so he raised his hand and managed to hold on to the tip of the stake.

So, he was left hanging. Thanks to the corrosive poison, part of the tip had been destroyed, so it wasn't painful to hold on. At least nothing dug into his hands.

But the corrosive poison was still there. He felt his hand begin to disintegrate in the face of this potent poison that could even corrode iron.

Without hesitation, he pulled his body up, enduring the pain. Then he realized something.

Ryan's arm was too weak to support his weight, which was barely 60 kg.

He forced himself to summon strength from nowhere to climb up.

He was too skinny for his size, and his strength was nonexistent. Still, through sheer willpower, he managed to climb to the top of the stake and jumped out of the trap from there.

As soon as he was in a safe place, he swallowed several potions and sprinkled one on his injured hand. It would hardly heal him in the short term, but at least it would help him endure the pain.

He finally looked up and saw the Kazak staring at him from across the room. He seemed very entertained by what was happening, so he happily jumped over to where he was.

'What a bastard. On top of that, he doesn't even have a rune of his own, so if I kill him, I'll only get the bear's.' He complained.

He took out a small sword again and replaced his old shield with a new one. Luckily, he had stocked up on weapons. But he knew he couldn't kill it with what he had created himself.

He needed to use something else.

He immediately thought of Arnold's poisons. Although he didn't want to use them, in case he had to face a powerful Walker later, he had no other choice.

He didn't have enough strength to kill it on his own.

While he was thinking about his strategy, the Kazak attacked again, but this time, it attacked differently.

Its front legs were surrounded by a magical pattern, causing two Spirituality attacks to shoot forward in an X shape and approach Ryan.

It was a really fast attack, and he couldn't dodge it. He had to raise his shield in front of him to defend himself, and both attacks struck it.

Although he was pushed back and the shield shattered, he didn't suffer much damage beyond a temporary daze throughout his body.

Luckily for him, this Kazak was still an infant. It didn't know how to use its natural powers, which increased his chances of victory.

He quickly went to the front, pulling out a new shield and jumping on his enemy. Along the way, he threw several vials of poison at the Kazak's hairy body, which angered him.

"ROOOOOOAR!" His roar was accompanied by an attack with his right paw toward Ryan's head.

A dangerous attack, made with malice. But Ryan simply let it hit his shield, then threw himself to the ground and ran closer.

The attack shattered the shield again, but he had managed to get close to its blind spot.

He stretched out his arm and threw three different types of poison at its neck and chest.

This poison was indeed powerful. One was corrosive and corroded much of the Kazak's neck and chest. The rest began to wreak havoc on it, immediately causing the Kazak to feel intense pain.

"GAAHH!"

It recoiled, writhing in pain. Its enormous body shook. It hadn't realized it was in imminent danger, which Ryan was about to exploit.

One of its hind legs stepped where there was no ground. The trap was there.

Then it saw the little human approaching it and throwing several poisonous jars at its legs.

His intentions were clear. He wanted to make it lose its balance so it would fall backward. Once there, he could get rid of it more easily.

Those green eyes glowed with hatred. Despite the pain it felt, the Kazak endured it and leaped forward, the roar in its mouth carrying pain and rage.

It collided with the poisons coming toward it. It hurt terribly, but it endured it.

It passed through the poison, which remained impregnated in its skin, but in an instant, it managed to reach Ryan's defenseless body.

Then it bit him on the shoulder.

"AGHH!" Ryan felt his body being pulled backward by a terrible force, and soon he felt only dizziness as the Kazak slammed him against the wall.

His bones cracked, some breaking outright. The rest protested against him for getting into a fight he couldn't win against a beast like that.

The Kazak already seemed to have a triumphant look on its face.

But then, a slightly larger poison bottle appeared before its green eyes. It seemed to glow before its intense gaze.

And even though Ryan was overcome with pain throughout his body, he drew strength from his soul to move his hand and smash the poison into his enemy's head.

Suddenly, a purple poison with a delicious aroma that made him want to swallow it emerged from there.

The way he hit it, not a single drop fell on him. It all sprayed over his opponent's head and horns.

'Aromatic poison from a war alchemist?' He trembled.

The last time he saw a war alchemist make aromatic poison... the result was terrible.

A scene began to unfold before his eyes.

The Kazak let go of him and began to move backward, trembling and feeling something invade its body. It was so fast that it tried to activate its power to stop it, but it couldn't.

Suddenly...

BOOM*

The Kazak's body exploded into a thousand pieces, spraying its blood and body parts everywhere, staining the room.

Ryan frowned and finally fell to his knees on the floor.

'Mother... What poison have you made? That's terrifying.' He thought as he swallowed the last healing potions. He had to thank his strange luck that this Kazak had the red orb, so his recovery ability increased dramatically when it entered him.

He finally relaxed...

Or so he wanted to.

He didn't have time.

Suddenly, he sensed a presence near him, so he had to force himself to stand up and draw his weapons.

Just then, he noticed something.

This path... connected to another.

'It wasn't like this before...' Realizing this difference, he prayed that it didn't connect to Brandon's hallway or any of his powerful subordinates...
