MOONLIGHT ENCOUNTER"
**CHAPTER 1: "MOONLIGHT ENCOUNTER" -💕**
Lila stood alone on the deserted campus path, moonlight casting eerie shadows around her like skeletal fingers.
She had escaped the party early, overwhelmed by the loud music pulsating through her veins like a migraine and flirtatious guys who seemed to only care about her looks, not her mind or passions.
The cool night air filled her lungs as she walked towards her dorm, the only sound being the distant hum of crickets, the soft crunch of gravel beneath her feet, and the occasional hoot of an owl in the nearby woods.
Her thoughts drifted back to her parents' mysterious death when she was a teenager - still unsolved, still haunting her dreams.
The campus seemed emptier than usual tonight, as if everyone had vanished into thin air, leaving only her and...
A figure emerged from the darkness...
*Tall, broad-shouldered, and devastatingly handsome*
His piercing blue eyes locked onto hers, sending shivers down her spine like icy fingers tracing her vertebrae.
His chiselled features seemed carved from marble, with sharp cheekbones, a strong jawline that hinted at fierce determination, and full lips that curved into a subtle, intriguing smile
He wore a black leather jacket, fitted perfectly to his athletic build, and his dark hair was messy as if he'd just rolled out of bed, adding to his mysterious allure.
"Lost?" he asked low and smooth, his voice like velvet wrapped around her senses.
His eyes seemed to bore into her soul, as if searching for secrets she kept hidden...
Lila's heart skipped a beat as she met his gaze, feeling like he'd uncovered a hidden truth about her.
She swallowed hard, attempting to sound casual:
"Just needed fresh air. Parties aren't really my scene."
His eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled, revealing faint dimples:
"Mine, either.
I'm Kristof."
He extended a strong hand, and Lila hesitated for a moment before placing hers in it.
His handshake was firm but gentle, sending a spark of electricity through her body.
As they stood there, the night air seemed to vibrate with tension between them.
Lila felt drawn to Kristof in a way she couldn't explain – his mysterious aura, piercing eyes, and chiselled features all combined into a potent attraction.
Kristof broke the silence:
"Do you live on campus, Lila?"
*He already knew her name, though she hadn't told him - how did he know?*
Her mind racing with questions, Lila replied:
"Yes... dorm 304.
How about you?"
Kristof's eyes gleamed with intrigue as he replied:
"I live off-campus...
My family's old mansion is just beyond the woods."
Lila's curiosity spiked -
"Your family's mansion?
That huge creepy place everyone avoids?"
Kristof chuckled low in his throat:
"The one and only.
My relatives might be... eccentric."
He took a step closer, voice dropping to a whisper:
"But I'm not like them, Lila."
His breath danced across her skin, sending shivers down her spine.
