Chapter 59 - Chapter 58: Harry's First Appearance (Part 1)

The "Scabbers Disappearance" incident ended with Ron gaining both a puffskein and an owl.

Time slipped by, and Friday arrived—the day Loren had been waiting for, with back-to-back Potions lessons in the morning.

Harry woke earlier than usual, his thoughts circling around the wristband Loren had given him. He'd asked repeatedly what it did, but Loren had only handed him a handwritten set of instructions:

"Special function: turn right to activate. A timer will appear. When it ends, the effect stops. To cut it short, turn left. To add time, turn right again. It's bound to you; only you can use it."

No description of the effect. Nothing at all. Which only made Harry more nervous.

When he pressed Loren further, Loren had fixed him with a solemn look.

"Harry, you wouldn't want Gryffindor to lose the House Cup because of you, would you?"

The severity in his tone had cowed Harry into silence. Loren then pushed harder.

"You'll see the results during Potions. I promise Snape won't trouble you again—he might even award you points. But remember this: use it only in Potions. If anything happens there, I'll take responsibility. Outside Potions? You're on your own."

Between the House Cup and a chance to redeem his father, Harry had convinced himself. He'd never longed for Friday so much.

After breakfast, he dragged Loren to the empty Potions classroom. Hermione, Ron, and Neville, curious about the bracelet, followed.

As they entered, they watched Harry twist the wristband. Before their eyes, he shifted—his features softening, frame altering—until Harry was now a girl.

Hermione's brows lifted, but she quickly composed herself, taking Loren's arm with an expectant smirk. Ron, horrified, yanked off his own bracelet and tossed it aside. Neville could only stammer, pointing mutely.

"Why'd you throw it away, Ron?" asked the transformed Harry—her voice now higher, lilting—before realizing with a start that her body was very different. A scream ripped from her throat, high enough to pierce the ears.

"Silencio," Loren muttered, cutting it off.

The transformation was perfect. Too perfect. He studied her with a glint of mischief. The new Harry—"Holly," perhaps—looked at him pleadingly, wide-eyed.

"Why am I a girl?"

"Relax, Harry. It's temporary. You read the instructions."

She glanced down, noticing the countdown ticking on the wristband. A frantic twist to the left brought it to zero, and Harry reappeared, gasping with relief—only to twist it again, shifting back and forth in fascination.

Ron and Neville gaped. Neville reached out, poking the transformed Harry's side just to be sure.

Ron, unable to resist, scrambled to retrieve his bracelet, fumbling to activate it—but nothing happened.

"Why doesn't mine work?" he demanded.

"It's bound to Harry," Loren said lightly. "But Fred and George have something similar. Ask them if you're brave enough."

The thought made Ron shudder. He sank into a seat beside the transformed Harry, sneaking glances that grew longer and hotter until Harry, unsettled, edged away.

"Ron," Loren warned, voice dry. "Control yourself. We're in class. Afterward, she's yours."

Ron flushed scarlet. Harry stiffened in alarm, silently vowing never to use it outside Potions.

Hermione, amused, leaned in. "Why not make two more, Loren? Ron and Neville look jealous enough."

Neville flailed, face red. "No! I'm fine as I am—really!"

Hermione smirked, then turned back. "By the way, which bathroom does Harry use now? Girl or boy?"

Harry's cheeks burned. Ron grinned. Loren's answer was merciless.

"Biologically, she's a girl now. Fred already confirmed it with their prototype. Though theirs doesn't switch back. They always did want another sister…"

Ron paled, imagining his brothers turning him into Ginny's twin. And yet—some small part of him wondered.

"Quiet. Someone's coming." Loren's tone sharpened. Footsteps echoed outside the classroom.
