Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Simulation Ends, Level Up

One year later, your level increased to 5, and the Critical Strike skill leveled up to Lv.3. You became the strongest among the Goblins, a head taller than the others, though still just three heads high. The Troll didn't care about your changes. You didn't grow arrogant as your strength increased, knowing the Troll consumed more monster meat and was inherently stronger. You were still far from being his match, so you refrained from acting rashly.

In the second year, you continued your routine. Your level increased to 8, and through practice, Critical Strike rose to Lv.7.

Midway through the second year, the Troll mysteriously disappeared for a few days. Suspicious but cautious, you did nothing rash. A few days later, the Troll returned, and you were relieved you hadn't made any unnecessary moves.

In the third year, your level reached 11, and through diligent practice, Critical Strike reached Lv.max.

...

By the seventh year, you had reached level 20, and your relentless training evolved your Critical Strike into Lethal Strike Lv.1. But you realized you could no longer increase your level by devouring monster meat. You suspected your template level was too low. If it were raised to Elite-level, the level cap wouldn't stop at 20.

You didn't know how to upgrade your template, but staying in the Goblin Tribe was no longer an option. The Troll's appetite grew, and he sometimes snacked on Goblins. His gaze towards you had become unsettling. After seven years with the Troll, you recognized that look—it was the look of hunger.

Faced with this situation, you had to choose:

1. Leave the Goblin Tribe and seek a way to evolve.

2. Stay in the Goblin Tribe, living in constant dread.

3. Take down the Troll and become the boss.

'A choice, huh?' The second option was definitely out. That Troll surely saw you as food. You leaned towards the first option since the Troll was a higher-tier creature. Even at max level, you probably couldn't beat him. Of course, you could ambush him, but tricking the Troll to his death seemed risky.

After some thought, you told the system, "System, choose option one, leave the Goblin Tribe."

After careful consideration, you realized the Goblin Tribe wasn't a place to stay long-term. Continuing like this, you would eventually become the Troll's meal. After deciding, you left the Goblin Tribe. As the highest-ranking member, apart from the Troll, you successfully escaped under the cover of night.

On your first day out, you encountered a Human Adventurer Squad. They attacked you without a word. Though a rookie team, their strength was formidable, but their teamwork lacked coordination. With your superior strength and Lethal Strike, you defeated the squad, though sustaining severe injuries. Before you could secure the corpses, a black tiger attacked. Heavily wounded, you were no match and died.

Simulation ended, overall rating: 37.

For an ordinary Goblin, your life was glorious and eventful, but as a transmigrator, you were a disappointment.

Please choose a reward:

1. Level up by one level, costs 5 evaluation points, repeatable.

2. Critical Strike level up by one level, costs 4 points, repeatable.

Realizing the rewards were only from your simulated life, and lacking 'life insights' as an option, you chose a pure increase in strength.

After thinking for a moment, you said, "System, increase level by four, increase Critical Strike level by four."

"Consumed 36 evaluation points. Rewards have been issued."

As soon as you finished speaking, a surge of power filled your body. Gobulo felt he could now take on ten of his former selves. Your body grew larger, increasing from 1.2 meters to 1.6 meters.

A stinging sensation spread through your brain, and a flood of information poured in. When you regained your senses, your Critical Strike level had risen to Lv.5.

Unfazed by these changes, you noted seeing several large Goblins on your way to eat—none seemed particularly conspicuous.

Your attributes had changed:

- Name: Gobulo

- Race: Goblin

- Template: Normal

- Level: 5/20 (4%)

- Stamina: 7

- Strength: 11

- Agility: 6

- Spirit: 8

- Charm: 0

- Skill: Critical Strike Lv.5

For every level increase, your attributes, except Charm, increased by one point, plus one free attribute point. You allocated all four points to Strength, following the path of power.

Curious about the Troll's absence during the second year, you pondered the system's mention of it.

After checking your attributes, you left the cave, planning to explore. The scenery triggered memories of your predecessor—a newborn Goblin, only a week old. The Goblin who called you to eat was named Garret, a bit older than you.

Scanning your surroundings, you frowned slightly. The camp was littered with Goblin feces, the stench unpleasant. But your body seemed accustomed to it. After two steps, you arrived at the eating spot.

Over fifty Goblins were savagely gnawing at two leftover wild boar carcasses. Before you could react, they were picked clean.

"Grrr." Your stomach protested.

Watching the Goblins eat raw meat didn't disgust you; instead, it stirred a strong appetite. But the food was gone, and if you wanted to eat, you'd have to hunt yourself.

Garret, having finished eating, approached you. Surprised, he said, "Are you Gobulo? How did you get so big? What did you eat? Did you eat all that stuff?"
