Danny nodded. "That is the clue we know."
Lana's eyes widened slightly.
Neither Calix nor Danny had expected the hint Julia had given them to eventually be used by Lana instead.
'If Julia ever finds out about this, she will probably be furious enough to spit blood.'
Both men clenched their fists simultaneously. Lana, however, became suspicious. 'If they knew the clue, they should have absolutely refused to accept the terms of the contract, and yet... until they are planning to attack us again...'
After all, nowhere in the contract was it mentioned that they couldn't attack Lana and Sophia.
Yet she smiled brightly. "Great. Then we will complete this quest."
She turned toward Sophia. "All right, Sophia and I are going to sleep."
With that, both Lana and Sophia returned to their tent and quickly fell asleep.
The entire night, Calix and Danny remained outside, quietly discussing how they could deal with Lana and Sophia.
