The ghost whipped around, terrified. She hadn't expected Lana to still be there.
For a moment, Lana almost laughed at the horrified expression, but she restrained herself. 'If I laugh, she might start crying…'
Despite the ghost's horrific appearance, Lana's attitude softened after realizing the girl might be a victim.
'Not all ghosts are evil.'
Even though she had already made the hard decision that this ghost ultimately couldn't be left alive, she still looked at the girl gently.
"Do you want attention because you want people to know your story?"
The ghost hesitated, then nodded. Her mannerisms were so human-like that Lana couldn't help but marvel.
"Were you killed by someone?"
The ghost's expression twisted with resentment. Even the air turned malicious. Lana instantly pulled out an exorcism talisman and waved it threateningly.
The girl immediately calmed down. Her shoulders slumped, and even her dangling hair dropped limply... she looked like a puppet with cut strings.
