"Ahh—he's done for! That kid's in real trouble!"
"Tenra-sama! Tenra-sama!"
Zatouji gaped at the spot where Tenra had vanished beneath the flood, his face twisted in pure panic. Irina, Xenovia, and Mira shouted Tenra's name, their voices cracking with desperation. Even Rias and Akeno, usually composed, wore anxious expressions.
Above the chaos, the Undine Queen reappeared, water swirling through her hair—noble, breathtaking, like a goddess descended to earth. She gazed down at the ravaged forest, her eyes as calm as spring water. But as she watched the devastation below, a flicker of emotion finally broke through her serene facade.
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.
From the heart of the flood, a giant rose—a samurai-shaped colossus, wreathed in violet energy. Just standing there, it dwarfed everyone floating in the air. Armor gleamed, a massive purple sword hung at its waist, and an enormous, ethereal mirror hovered behind. At the giant's brow, encased in a crystal, stood Tenra, arms folded, gaze unwavering.
Majestic. Mysterious. Awe-inspiring. Like a god of ancient legend come to life.
Zatouji was speechless, mouth working but no words coming. Rias and Akeno stared in shock. Irina, Xenovia, and Mira could only watch in silent, burning admiration.
"Yata-no-Kagami, Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi, Yasakani-no-Magatama—three of Tenra-sama's Sacred Gears," Tosca whispered, pride shining in her eyes. Even Gasper, tucked inside Tosca's barrier, nodded so hard he nearly bounced, eyes wide with worship.
"The Three Imperial Regalia… legendary artifacts!" Rias and Akeno exchanged glances, their shock mirrored in each other's eyes.
They'd known Tenra wielded the Ame-no-Murakumo sword—he'd used its power in his duel with Riser. But this… Yata-no-Kagami and Yasakani-no-Magatama as well? What else was he hiding?
Far below, Tenra's secrets loomed large, his past more mysterious than ever.
Inside the crystal at Susanoo's brow, six blood-red magatama spun in Tenra's eyes, lending him a dangerous, almost unearthly air.
If a ninja from another world were here, they'd shout: Uchiha! Sharingan!
But Tenra was no Uchiha, and this was no Sharingan. The magatama were the sign of Yasakani-no-Magatama's power—the Sacred Gear that summoned the legendary god Susanoo.
Not the true god, of course—just a projection. But its power was undeniable.
Tenra had fought for days against Church agents and onmyoji to claim these three Regalia. Using all three at once drained him, but with Maou-level reserves, he barely felt the strain.
And the results?
Tenra guided Susanoo forward, slowly drawing the Ame-no-Murakumo sword. With a single motion, he raised it high and brought it down toward the distant water giant.
Whoosh—
CRASH!
A massive arc of purple sword energy split the sky. Under the stunned gazes of everyone present, the water giant exploded, dissolving into a torrential downpour.
At that moment, the Undine Queen paled, clearly wounded by the blow. Yet her eyes sparkled—not with fear, but with a warrior's burning resolve.
To clash with a true powerhouse—this was every champion's dream.
She swept her hand, summoning pillars of water that smashed into Susanoo's body.
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.
Susanoo staggered, but even floods that could shatter mountains left him untouched.
Undeterred, the Queen pressed her palms together. Water erupted, birthing a massive beast that lunged at Susanoo's shoulder.
A second beast. A third. A fourth. More and more broke free, roaring as they attacked.
Zatouji, Gasper, Rias, and the others watched, stunned, as giant clashed with beast in a battle fit for legends.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Waves crashed and thunder rolled as Susanoo's blade felled beast after beast. The Queen's face grew paler, and the flood below turned murky and still.
With one last mighty blow, Tenra shattered the final beast. He watched as more tried to emerge, only to collapse, and knew the battle was nearly over.
"Yata-no-Kagami!"
Tenra's voice rang out, and the mirror behind Susanoo blazed with light. Its surface twisted into a vortex, sucking in every drop of water from ground and sky.
The flood receded. The earth reappeared, but the once lush forest was gone—only wasteland remained.
Susanoo raised his sword, then swept it down in a gust of wind, pointing at the Undine Queen floating above:
"Undine, do I now have the right to be your master?"
Tenra's words echoed through the air.
The Queen stared at the god-like figure, feeling impossibly small. Under the gaze of all present, she bowed her head, dropping to one knee:
"Undine greets her master."
By ancient contract, defeat meant submission. The moment Susanoo prevailed, the Queen had accepted her fate.
Light flashed. The samurai giant vanished. Tenra, golden wings at his feet, appeared before the Undine Queen, pressing two fingers gently to her forehead.
"Let's form the contract."
He looked down at her, his tone gentle but commanding.
Tenra didn't know any contract magic—but that didn't matter. As long as she did.
A blush colored her cheeks, but she didn't resist. Magic surged, a glowing circle spun around Tenra's fingers, then imprinted itself on her brow and faded.
In that instant, Tenra sensed their bond. What surprised him wasn't just the connection—it was its depth. The Undine Queen hadn't formed a simple familiar contract, but a lifelong vow of loyalty, impossible to break.
"Your name—what is it?"
"We Undines know our kin by aura alone. Language is for speaking with other races. Master, you may simply call me Undine."
Tenra nodded, satisfied. He glanced down at the ruined land below.
"Go take care of your people, then come with me. You're my familiar now—no more hiding out in places like this."
"Yes, Master…"
