Kuoh Academy, Occult Research Club—
"Oh my, if it isn't the fallen angel Raynare. Seducing my Tenra? That's a crime worthy of death, you know."
"Heh... Thunder Priestess Akeno Himejima, I've heard plenty about you—the daughter of a fallen angel and a human."
"I'm master's tool, master's servant. I'll offer everything I am to him. Got a problem with that?"
"What a depraved little fiend. For Tenra's sake, maybe I should just wipe you out."
"If you think you can, then try."
Foreheads pressed together, smiles sharp as knives—Akeno and Raynare exchanged sweet words laced with venom, the room thick with icy tension.
Across the room, Rias massaged her temples, fighting a headache. Tenra sat opposite, lazily stroking Ni and Li as they curled on his lap, utterly unconcerned by the brewing storm between the two women.
"You actually took in fallen angels?"
"They've submitted to me. They serve my goals. What's the problem?"
"This isn't just about you! It could spark a war between devils and fallen angels!"
"Let Lord Sirzechs and the others handle the politics. I've got better things to do."
Rias gritted her teeth, tempted to bite him for his arrogance.
She forced herself to calm down, her tone softening.
"Look, you don't have to be so reckless. A lot of factions have their eyes on you, but you're a Phoenix. The Gremory family and my brother will support you. For now, you're safe."
"Only for now. Once they decide I'm a threat, they'll come for me anyway."
"And I'm a man—I don't need anyone's protection."
Rias's mouth twitched. Her good intentions felt wasted.
"Hmph. If you don't need help, why come here?"
"I want Raynare and the others to transfer into the school."
"Just ask Sona directly. You know the system."
"Aren't you my fiancée? So I figured I should tell you first."
"F-fiancée... Why bring that up now?!"
The usually composed princess turned bashful and flustered at the mention of their engagement. Tenra smirked, patted Ni and Li, and stood—no more teasing for now.
"Let's go, Raynare."
He called Raynare away from her duel with Akeno, ready to handle enrollment for her, Mittelt, and Kalawarner.
"Wait."
Rias's voice stopped them at the door.
"What is it, Rias?"
Tenra paused.
"Tonight, we're going to hunt down a group of stray devils. Come with us."
Kuoh Town was Rias's territory, and cleansing dangerous supernatural threats was her responsibility. Tenra didn't know why she'd suddenly invited him, but after a moment's thought, he nodded.
"Fine. If nothing else—"
After leaving the clubroom, Tenra sent Ni and Li back to class. He took Raynare, Mittelt, and Kalawarner to the student council office, where Sona Sitri listened to his request.
Sona raised an eyebrow at Tenra's new fallen angel entourage, but didn't pry. She had her Queen, Tsubaki Shinra, handle the paperwork.
Raynare joined Tenra's class. Mittelt was placed with Mira and Koneko in the first year. Kalawarner—clearly not cut out for academics—was assigned to the PE department as a teacher.
—
"Hello, everyone! I'm Yuma Amano. Starting today, I'm transferring into this class. Please take care of me."
At the podium, Raynare wore her sweetest smile, introducing herself under her alias.
"Gorgeous!"
"She's adorable..."
"Yuma-chan, sit next to me!"
The boys erupted, swept away by her innocent charm—every normal guy would fall for Yuma-chan.
Raynare waved and smiled, but beneath the mask, her eyes flashed with cold mockery.
A bunch of pathetic ants.

Night fell over a quiet corner of Kuoh Town.
Rias, Akeno, and Koneko stood before a building radiating thick, evil energy, faces grim.
In the Underworld, devils who surrendered to their desires and betrayed their masters became strays. Fleeing to the human realm, they brought disaster to ordinary people. Rias, as the town's lord, had purged many before, but strays usually acted alone—this time, several had gathered, making things more dangerous.
Rias was confident in herself, Akeno, and Koneko, but as a responsible King, she wasn't about to risk a mistake. Just to be sure, she'd called Tenra.
With him here, nothing could go wrong.
A swirling light appeared. Tenra stepped out, followed by Raynare and four young devils.
Three of them—twin sisters Ile and Nel, plus blue-haired Mira—were familiar as Tenra's soldiers. The fourth, a short-haired, cute girl, Rias vaguely remembered from the Underworld, but couldn't recall her name.
"Rias, Akeno, Koneko-chan—sorry to keep you waiting."
"Where are your other servants? And who's she?"
Rias eyed the nervous, shy Gasper.
"Yubelluna and the rest have their own business. Mira and the others are plenty for a few strays."
"As for him—Gasper, introduce yourself."
Tenra shrugged, a mischievous grin on his face as the girls clearly mistook Gasper for a girl.
"I'm Gasper Vladi. Nice to meet you."
"Um... I might look cute, but I'm a guy!"
Gasper's nerves showed, but he managed to raise his voice when declaring his masculinity.
Ile and Nel giggled. Rias, Akeno, and Koneko froze, minds reeling.
That face, that slim body—he's actually a boy?!
"P-pleased to meet you..."
Recovering, the three girls blushed, awkward smiles on their faces.
This world really was stranger than they'd ever imagined.
