Chapter 39 - Chapter 39 : Battle Beneath The Moon (Arkhan)

In the depths of the dark Arkhan Forest, the battle escalated into chaos.

The shadow wolves attacked from every direction without mercy. Their glowing red eyes burned like scattered embers in the night, moving with unnatural coordination as if guided by an unseen force. The ground trembled beneath their heavy steps, branches snapped violently, and low, guttural growls echoed through the towering trees.

Yet in the midst of that overwhelming darkness, Neya stepped forward without a trace of fear.

Her hair flowed with the wind as her eyes sharpened with battle intent. Golden energy gathered around her hand, flickering like a flame reborn in the night.

"Ignis Burst!"

BOOMM!!

A massive explosion of golden fire erupted across the battlefield.

A wave of scorching heat swept through the forest, illuminating the once-pitch-black surroundings. Several wolves were blasted backward instantly, their bodies engulfed in golden flames. Their roars of agony echoed briefly before fading into the burning light.

But even as some fell, more continued to advance.

On the other side of the battlefield, Keya remained calm and focused.

She raised both of her hands slowly, channeling the surrounding natural energy. The earth beneath the monsters began to crack and shift as if responding to her command.

"Monsoon Bind!"

In an instant, thick vines and flowering roots burst from the ground like living creatures. They shot forward at incredible speed, wrapping tightly around the wolves' legs and bodies, restraining their movements and dragging them downward.

The beasts struggled violently, growling as they were pulled into the earth, unable to break free from the tightening bonds.

Together, the sisters created a perfect balance of power in the heart of the battlefield.

Neya's golden flames lit up the sky, while Keya's floral bindings controlled the ground. The dark Arkhan Forest had transformed into a battlefield of light and power, where fire and nature clashed against the shadows.

But deep within that chaos, something far more dangerous was approaching.

Suddenly…

The battlefield fell into an eerie silence.

Even the wind seemed to stop moving.

The remaining wolves hesitated, their instincts warning them of something far worse.

From the deepest shadows of the forest, a massive figure slowly emerged.

It was far larger than the previous beasts. Its muscular body towered like a living mountain, covered in thick black fur that seemed to swallow all surrounding light. But what truly struck fear into the air were its eyes—glowing crimson, filled with pure hostility and overwhelming power.

With every step it took, the ground shook violently.

For the first time, Neya's confident expression began to fade.

"That thing… is huge…" she murmured.

The massive beast lifted its head and released a terrifying roar that shook the entire forest.

ROOOAAARRR!!

The sound was so powerful that leaves rained down from the trees, and stones trembled loose from the ground. The very air vibrated with destructive force.

Keya immediately stepped forward, placing herself protectively in front of Neya without hesitation.

"Be careful!" she warned sharply.

The giant beast lowered its body, preparing to charge.

And then

Slashhh!!

A sudden streak of red energy cut through the air like a blade tearing through reality itself.

In an instant, the monstrous creature froze.

Its massive body collapsed to the ground, lifeless.

Silence returned.

Keya and Neya stood frozen, unable to process what had just happened.

From the darkness beyond the battlefield, a young boy slowly walked forward, holding a broken sword in his hand. His presence was quiet, yet strangely heavy, as if he carried an unseen burden.

Red.

Behind him stood an older man with a relaxed posture and a familiar laugh.

"Looks like we arrived just in time," Uncle Star said with a light chuckle.

Neya narrowed her eyes, studying the boy carefully.

"So this is the child of the Red Moon…?"

The boy blinked in confusion.

"What…?"

Keya then stepped forward slowly, her gaze fixed on him with certainty.

"Your name is Red, isn't it?"

The boy hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

"Yes… but how do you know me?"

A cold wind swept across the battlefield, carrying the scent of burnt earth and lingering magic.

In that moment, something unseen shifted in the world.

Fate had finally brought them together.
