Chapter 8 - raven

Sunlight touched the curtains when Edward woke up in the chair. He had fallen asleep guarding the guest room.

Raven stood in the bathroom doorway. She wore a white towel, blue skin glowing in the light. Her hair was damp. Her golden eyes watched him calmly.

"You stayed," Edward said.

"Yeah," she replied.

Raven walked closer. " and Thank you."

"You're welcome."

She paused. "May I ask something… unusual?"

"Go ahead."

"Shower," she said simply. "Together. Nothing crazy. I want to feel… safe. Not hunted."

Edward nodded once. "Okay."

They stepped into the large marble shower. The steam rose quickly. Raven adjusted the water and stood under it, eyes closed.

"I usually hide," she said softly. "Today I don't want to."

Edward stood with her under the warm water. He kept things respectful. No rushing. No pressure.

Raven placed her hands on his shoulders. "You respect boundaries?"

"Yes."

"Good," she said. "You pass."

She leaned in and kissed him—soft at first, then warmer. He kissed back gently. No force. No dominance. Just steady, mutual rhythm.

"Tell me if you want me to stop," Edward said.

"I won't," Raven answered.

After, she massaged his shoulders and neck with firm, careful pressure. And jumped on his body with his legs crossed.

Her hands were strong from years of survival. He relaxed under her touch.

" why are you so aggressive!," he said breathing weakly.

"fun," she replied. " and last night revenge"

They dried off and dressed. Raven shifted into a human appearance—brown hair, hazel eyes, modest clothes.

"Blue or human?" Edward asked.

She smiled. "Both are me. But this keeps neighbors calm."

"Fair."

They headed to the office study. Edward pulled out a folder and a card.

"This is a backup credit card," he said. "Use it to register a company and handle logistics."

"What company?" Raven asked.

"Anonymous Specialist for Novel, Movie, Animation," Edward said. " from. Today, you have to work as secretary,

i will provide novel scripts, story script, and adaptations. I'll write content. We hire voice actors and staff through partners."

" you?" she asked.

" you, don't belive i can write ✍️! "

Raven blinked. "You're serious."

"I don't joke about my talent."

Raven accepted the card. "I can create clean identities and register without red flags."

"Do it," Edward said. "You don't need to run anymore. Anyone looks for you—let me deal with it."

Raven's voice softened. "You're giving me a life."

"I'm offering a job and a home," Edward replied. "Life is your choice."

Raven stepped closer and hugged him. "Thank you, Edward."

"Welcome to Anonymous," he said with a small smile.

She smirked. "I'll make it a ghost you can't track."

"That's the idea."

Later that afternoon, Edward headed across town for date with Sarah.
