Chapter 65 - Chapter 65

|3rd POV|

The Emperor releases a golden fire toward the charging daemons coming at him and his Custodes. It turns the good chunk of the daemons into dust, and the Custodes move after the large attack and charge forward, speargun in hand.

To mortal eyes, they move as one and protect each other, but the trained eyes of the Space Marines immediately notice that the Custodes fight as one-man armies. They protect each other because it is the side effect of their butchering the daemons coming at them.

Even with such a fighting style, they still butcher their way through the millions of daemons charging them.

Trajann Valoris, Captain-General of the Custodes, charges the Greater Daemon of Khorne. With a powerful swing, his axe greets the incoming attack from the giant daemon in front of him. His golden form blurs around the battlefield, dodging and counterattacking.

The Greater Daemon roars and swings a massive axe at the Captain-General. However, each of its attacks is met by the power axe the Captain-General holds; every clash results in a shockwave, each blow more powerful than the last.

The duel lasts for three minutes before three Sisters of Silence jump at the Greater Daemon, who screams in pain at their presence. Trajann uses this chance to charge once again, swinging his axe and cutting through the daemon's hand.

The Daemon does not let him go unscathed after the attack. He grabs Trajann's leg, throws him to the ground, and releases a torrent of fire from his mouth. Trajann's Auramite armor withstands the heat, but it starts to glow from the intensity.

Fortunately, the three Sisters of Silence move forward, swing their swords, and flare their Null power against the Daemon. The Warp-based torrent of fire weakens in the blast of Null energy, and the Greater Daemon roars in pain as his very existence is attacked by the power.

Knowing that the three sisters will be a problem, he charges at them. However, the three of them were able to hold their ground against the onslaught of the Greater Daemon. Each of them moves as if they know what the other is thinking, and they move as one. Even though the three sisters are considerably weaker than Custodes, they are still elite among the elite. They hold their ground and work together to fight the Greater Daemon.

They fight as a team and use their numbers to their advantage, compensating for their weaker physical prowess. They are a pack of wolves among prideful lions that is the Custodes.

They are able to hold the daemon long enough for Trajann to search for a weakness and sneak into the Greater Daemon's personal space. With the presence of the Null field, the daemon cannot use its warp abilities to sense him. Something that he takes advantage of.

With a jump, he swings his axe down at the glowing jewel behind the Greater Daemon's neck. His attack hits the jewel, and it cracks under the blow. It causes immediate damage, sending cracks spreading across the daemon's entire body.

Trajann raises his axe and points the barrel of the master-crafted bolt weapon. It roars, and each bullet hits the jewel, causing explosions that damage it further.

The Greater Daemon thrashes around, attempting to get Trajann off his back. Sadly, because he cannot use the full power of the Warp in the presence of the three Sisters of Silence, he cannot release Warp fire around his body.

Instead, he flexes his wings and takes to the sky. Trajann takes out his sidearm, the Misericordia, and stabs it into the daemon's body. Trajann holds onto his blade tightly as the daemon flies at a speed that puts Astra Militarum aircraft to shame.

When the daemon is far enough from the influence of the Null field, he releases an intense fire around his body and attempts to grab Trajann. However, before he can reach the Captain-General, his entire body freezes. It is as if he is being held by an invisible hand.

In the distance, the Emperor raises his right hand in a grabbing motion. He sees how the fight will end if he does not interfere through future vision and decides to help Trajann.

As for the man himself, he climbs up the daemon's body and destroys the jewel, then swings his axe, chopping the head off. The sound of a Greater Daemon's soul being granted a True Death echoes throughout the battlefield and the Warp.

It makes the weaker daemons hesitate for a second before their creators' blessing urges them to attack and continue to bring skulls for him.

As he lands on the ground, Trajann does not stop. He lands in the middle of the enemy formation and immediately resumes the fight.

== Line Break ==

Fighting on the other planet are the Eldar. Opposing them are the chosen of Slaanesh. They are the people who have been blessed by the Prince of Excess and granted bodies that feel nothing but pleasure. Be it mortals or even transhumans such as Space Marines. All of them are mutated beyond belief and feel nothing but ecstasy at the fake pleasure their Patron grants them.

They charge at the Eldar, who cut them down when they get near or let them crumble into chunks of meat from afar. They move with grace and look like a dance of death. It is a beautiful dance of Death.

Without the threat of their souls being devoured, the Eldar are able to use their powers to the fullest. They shape the battlefield to their advantage and use foresight to cut down enemies before they become a problem.

They even start attempting to seal the portal to reduce the number of daemons coming from the portal.

However, the battlefield worsens when another massive portal appears in the middle of the planet. Coming from the rift are more daemons, but this time, Greater Daemons emerge.

The Eldar also release their heavy firepower as a Webway portal appears. Coming from the portal are Caurifelliann, the Eldar Titans. Each one of them carries weapons that can punch through a mountain.

Their weapons glow and fire at the Greater Daemons. Each psychic attack hurts the monsters, who laugh in delight as the damage turns to pleasure; one draws its weapon and charges the titans. They ignore the wound and let their blessing regenerate all the wounds.

Beyond the daemons, Chaos Space Marines also appear. This time, it is the infamous Emperor's Children legion. They arrive in a gaggle of mad laughter as they unleash everything against the Eldar. They fire sonic blasts, acid bullets, and even abomination bombs that are made of damned souls of multiple races fused into one.

The appearance of the Space Marines disrupts the flow of battle the Eldar envisioned and causes some losses among their ranks, but the Eldar are an adaptable race. With a single mental command from Eldrad, they regain their formation and return the flow of battle to their advantage.

Unlike the Emperor and his army, the Eldar do not have the power of the Null field to reduce the power of the daemons. However, they are Eldar, a race created to use the power of the Warp. They use their power to manipulate the Warp, the daemons use to strengthen themselves and regenerate.

Instead of regenerating, the daemons scream as their bodies fail to reform, turning into liquid as the psychic power they use turns against them.

"Die! Die! DIE! How dare you dance better than me?! I am the creation of the Prince! I am perfect! You shall die to make me perfect!"

The daemons coming out of the realm of Slaanesh scream in anger as they fight against a race more graceful than they are. Because they are beings of excessive perfection, they cannot fathom how someone can be more graceful than they are. In their minds

Their moves become more erratic, and the illusions they create around themselves that turn them into beautiful creatures shatter. Now, even mortals can see their hideous bodies.

This change in their fighting style is exploited by the Eldar, who push them deeper. To make matters worse, the Harlequins enter the battlefield. They appear at the backline of the daemons and cultists, wreaking havoc on the enemy.

They are even able to ambush the Noise Marines and kill many in a single strike using a special poison. If the other Eldar fight like dancers, the Harlequins fight like assassins. They strike, disappear into portable webway portals, and then reappear to wreak havoc.

The two battlefields favor the Imperium and the Aeldari. However, before the two forces can end the battle, something changes. The Warp begins to shake, creating another portal between the two planets.

Another army arrives. This time, it is familiar faces that have not been seen since the. Horus Heresy. Emerging from the portal where the Emperor, Guilliman, Custodes, and Sisters of Silence fight are three massive figures. They are Daemon Princes of Chaos: Lorgar, Angron, and Perturabo, former sons of the Emperor.

Lorgar looks at his father with the same condescending smile he wore when he first fell to Chaos. Angron roars in anger and madness. Perturabo looks at his father with a sneer before pointing his weapons at him.

On the other side of the battlefield, two figures appear. The first is a snake-like creature that emits a sickeningly sweet scent and laughter that drives mortals mad: Fulgrim. When the second figure appears, the entire planet stops spinning as the flow of time freezes. Because of the power of Eldrad and Isha, the Eldar are able to move, but they can feel the power rolling out of this person. Psychic power wreaths this person, eager to be unleashed. This is Magnus the Red.

With the arrival of these newcomers, the situation on the battlefield gets even grimmer.
