Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

In 1999, Texas was under siege. A giant kaiju lizard rampaged through the city, flames spewing from its mouth, buildings crumbling under its massive claws. Suddenly, a red-and-white blur slammed into its chest, knocking it to the ground. Above the chaos, a blonde-haired man floated, glowing green. He raised his hands, firing a concentrated blast that pierced through the kaiju.

"That was easy," he said, a cocky smirk on his face. The ground trembled violently as three more kaiju emerged from the wreckage. "You really need to stop saying that," a red-haired woman in a red-and-yellow suit scolded, holding out her hand. Green, gigantic roots shot from the ground, wrapping around the kaiju, immobilizing them.

The brown-haired woman in a red-and-white suit flew above, firing twin intense beams from her eyes that split one kaiju in half. "These ones are drones. I scanned them," she said. "Then that'll make it easier to break their minds," a man in a green-and-white suit replied, closing his eyes. The kaiju immediately stopped struggling.

"Did you have to turn their brains into slugs, Kazenwave?" the brown-haired woman asked, her x-ray vision revealing puddles where the kaiju's brains had been. "I've got somewhere to go," Kazenwave said before teleporting away. "Seriously… that bastard always leaves when we have to clean up," the red-haired woman muttered. "Crimson Guardian, you wanna help?"

"Can't you just incinerate them like you always do, Blazefury? And where did Gamma Radiant go?" Crimson Guardian asked. "I don't care about that guy. Fine," Blazefury said, flames swirling around the kaiju until they turned to ash. "I gotta go before I'm late," Crimson Guardian said, streaking off at super speed.

In a nearby office, a man slammed his fist on his desk. "I heard four of the Justice 6 were in Texas, and I haven't got anything on it. Where's Sarah?!" he barked at a man in glasses. Sarah adjusted her glasses and smoothed her messy hair. "Mr. Sanchez, sorry I'm late. There was a long line at the snack bar." "I don't care about that! I want a story on the Justice 6 in Texas!" Sanchez yelled. Sarah handed him her notepad.

"Hmmm… I like it. This is what I'm talking about," he said. "Now get back to work, all of you!" As Sarah walked out with the other reporters, a man bumped into her. Papers flew everywhere. "Sorry, Brian, I didn't see you there," Sarah said, flustered, bending to help. "No… that was my fault. Sorry, Sarah," Brian replied nervously, gathering his papers. "I'm off then," he added, walking away. Sarah chuckled and shook her head.

Her super hearing suddenly picked up screams echoing through the city. She ducked into the janitor's room, making sure no one was watching, and quickly changed into her red-and-white alter ego, Crimson Guardian. Moments later, she burst through the window and took to the skies. Meanwhile, in Chicago, a man glowing purple touched a truck, green vines spreading outward before the vehicle exploded.

"Bomber Man. I thought you just got out on parole. This is a violation," Crimson Guardian said, floating down. "Crimson Guardian," Bomber Man said, glowing brighter. Crimson Guardian closed her eyes. A blue outline of energy enveloped her body, projecting a dome around Bomber Man. The truck exploded inside the dome harmlessly. "They never learn," she muttered, approaching him. Bomber Man slammed his arm into the ground, sending vines shooting out in an explosion that knocked her back.

"Oh no," she muttered, seeing a building beginning to collapse. Using her x-ray vision, she spotted people trapped inside. She flew toward the structure, acting as a pillar to hold it up, then used her heat vision to melt and reforge metal supports, stabilizing it. "Oh great," she sighed, scanning for Bomber Man—but he was gone. With a frustrated shake of her head, she streaked off in pursuit.

Back at the Lakeview Press newsroom, the chief stormed out of his office, waving a stack of papers. "Everyone, I just got word Crimson Guardian was spotted downtown fighting Bomber Man! Who's got the story?" he barked. The room fell silent. Not a single reporter raised their hand. "We're the Lakeview Press! That means we're supposed to have every story before anyone else. Now get me that report!" the chief roared.

The room erupted into motion, everyone scrambling out of their chairs. Later that night, a group of reporters sat crowded around a bar table, beers in hand. "Man, the chief is really pushing us lately," one of the men grumbled, slamming his mug down. "I know, right? It's not like we're supes. We can't just be everywhere at once," a woman added with a sigh.

From the booth behind them, Sarah sipped her drink, listening in. "They're really letting it all out," one man said before nudging the quiet, skinny reporter beside him. "Right, Brian?" "Y–yeah," Brian stammered, pushing his glasses up his nose while sneaking a glance at Sarah. Sarah looked up, catching his gaze. He quickly turned away, face red.

A playful smile spread across her lips as she leaned on her elbows, chin resting in her hands, eyes fixed on him. Brian risked another glance—and turned crimson when she caught him again. "Sarah, I'm surprised you're still sober," one of the men called over. "That's your ninth beer."

Sarah raised her glass with a shrug, hiding her thought: "Probably thanks to my super metabolism." She took another drink and let the moment pass. The next day, beneath the fiery belly of a dormant volcano, the Justice 6 headquarters thrummed with futuristic tech and glowing consoles. Gamma Radiant lounged at the conference table, boots propped up.

"Gamma, put your feet down," Queen said sharply. The regal woman's dark hair framed her armored face, her brown eyes narrowing. Gamma groaned but obeyed. "Fine, fine. So what's the big threat this time?" Flames flared as Blazefury stepped in, arms crossed. "Yeah, what pulled us all in here?"

A blue streak zipped around the room before halting in a chair. "Yeah, let's make this quick. I've got stuff to do," the speedster said. "Sonic," Queen said, unimpressed. "At least you bothered to show up this time." Gamma smirked. "Come on, Queen. Cut people some slack. You're way too pretty to be serious all the time." Her only response was a glare sharp enough to pierce steel.

Crimson Guardian descended from above, landing gracefully as a flickering hologram materialized in the center of the table. An elderly man's image appeared, his voice stern. "Good. All of you are here." "Wait—we're missing one," Sonic pointed out. "No, you're not," Kazenwave's voice cut in as he appeared silently in his seat. The hologram shifted, displaying a burning comet streaking toward Earth.

"Our satellites have detected a strange object approaching the atmosphere," the old man explained. Blazefury leaned back. "Only two of us can fly in space. So I'm out." She turned on her heel and walked away. "Same," Kazenwave muttered before vanishing. Sonic shrugged. "Not my scene," and darted away in a flash. "I can't fly," Queen said calmly. "So I'll trust one of you to handle it."

"Not it," Gamma Radiant smirked. "Got a hot date." He strolled off without another word. That left only one. "I'll handle it, sir," Crimson Guardian said, determination in her voice. The hologram flickered and disappeared. Above the volcanic base, the ceiling split open to reveal the bright sky.

Crimson Guardian shot upward, leaving a red-and-white streak behind. Breaking free of the atmosphere, she narrowed her eyes, her telescope vision extending across the void. The comet burned bright, hurtling toward Earth. She clenched her fists. "Let's see what you're really made of."

In New York, a commuter train sped out of control. Panic erupted as the brakes failed and the metal behemoth hurtled down the tracks. "Everyone, stay calm!" someone shouted, but the chaos was overwhelming. Suddenly, a blue streak appeared alongside the speeding train. "It's Sonic!" the passengers yelled in relief.

Sonic zipped closer, concentrating as streams of blue energy flowed from his hands and wrapped around the train. Gradually, the momentum slowed, wheels screeching, until the train came to a complete stop. "That should do it," Sonic said, giving a thumbs-up before vanishing into the city streets in a blur.

Meanwhile, in a spacious training room, Queen tested her skills. She slashed at a mechanical dummy, her sword cutting clean through the reinforced material. Then, with a grunt, she hoisted a 500-ton weight onto her back and began doing push-ups with precise, controlled motions. The skyline split open, and Crimson Guardian floated down gracefully.

"That wasn't a comet," she said casually, scanning the city below. "Probably just some communication device. I threw it back. Don't want any alien invaders using it to take over the planet." Queen's stoic gaze shifted to her teammate. "Why aren't you training?" "Well, I don't really need to. I naturally get stronger with age, and my muscles don't deteriorate even if I don't train," Crimson Guardian replied, flexing her arm.

Queen studied her, voice tinged with disbelief. "How can a human possess so much power… enough to rival even a god?" She turned and walked away, leaving Crimson Guardian tilting her head in confusion. Back at the newsroom, Sarah sat at her desk, fingers flying over the keyboard, writing her latest story.

"You know," a long blonde-haired woman said, lounging in a chair across from her, tossing a small ball in the air and catching it repeatedly, "most people would be outside enjoying the day. But here you are, typing away at a silly story." "It's not silly," Sarah replied firmly. "It's the news, and it's important." The woman arched an eyebrow. "Hmm… I don't see how birds are that important to write about."

Sarah leaned back, smirking. "Did you know there have been way more pigeons spotted in Chicago lately?" "Wow, that's fascinating," the blonde said, rolling her eyes playfully. "So… how about tonight? You get dressed, and we hit a party." Sarah paused, finishing the last line on her laptop. "I don't know…"

"Come on! There's going to be cute guys—and maybe you'll finally snag one," the woman teased, poking her shoulder. "Fine," Sarah said, smirking. "But only for you. I have to make sure you don't do anything stupid." From across the office, Brian quietly overheard the conversation, adjusting his glasses nervously as his eyes lingered on Sarah.

Late at night, Sarah walked reluctantly beside her friend Linda, both dressed in revealing outfits that Sarah clearly regretted agreeing to. They joined a long line outside the hottest new club in the city. "Linda? That you?" the bouncer said, motioning them over. "Thanks, Matthew," Linda said with a wink and sultry tone. "See you later tonight?" Matthew grinned as the two women passed.

"Don't look at me like that—I was joking," Linda said with a smirk. Sarah just gave her a look. Inside, the bass pounded and neon lights flickered across a sea of people dancing. "Wooo! Come on, Sarah, loosen up!" Linda shouted, jumping with the crowd. Sarah awkwardly joined in, moving carefully with the music. From the bar, Brian spotted her. His eyes widened.

"That her?" asked a man in a sharp suit, sipping his drink. "She's hot. You gonna talk to her?" "W-what? No. We're… colleagues. That's it," Brian stammered nervously. "Right." The man waved to a nearby security guard. "Tell those ladies they're welcome in the VIP room." "Dude, what are you doing?" Brian whispered, panicked.

"It's time to live a little. We live in a world where dragons level cities. I'm not letting you waste your days on what ifs," the man said, dragging Brian toward the velvet ropes. Moments later, Sarah and Linda were ushered into the VIP lounge. Sarah's eyes widened in surprise when she saw Brian sitting there.

Meanwhile, in New York, the ground shook violently. In the middle of Manhattan, the pavement cracked open, and from it rose a towering titan of molten lava. Citizens screamed as it melted cars and tore through skyscrapers. Down the street, a sleek blue car wove through traffic at impossible speeds.

"Engaging target," the vehicle's AI announced, launching missiles. The projectiles exploded harmlessly against the titan, absorbed into its molten body. "That's… not good," muttered the driver, gripping the wheel tighter. Back at the club's VIP room, Linda was already laughing and chatting with Brian's confident friend, while Sarah sat across from Brian himself.

"I didn't know you went to clubs," Sarah said, raising an eyebrow. "Of course I do… I mean—yeah, I'm a total party animal," Brian said, voice cracking slightly. Sarah gave him a blank stare… then burst out laughing. "Pfff! You're so funny, Brian." He reddened, embarrassed. Then, noticing Sarah's dress, he shrugged off his jacket and placed it around her shoulders.

"It's gotta be cold up here," he said softly. Sarah blinked in surprise, her cheeks turning red. "Oh—thank you," she said, pulling the jacket tighter. But then her smile faded. Her super-hearing caught panicked screams—New York. The lava titan. Heroes struggling. Brian cleared his throat. "So, Sarah, I've been meaning to—"

But Sarah stood abruptly. "Sorry, I think I left my stove on!" she blurted out, handing his jacket back before rushing away. Brian watched, stunned. Out in the alley, Sarah pressed her watch. It glowed brightly, her dress disintegrating into nanofibers as her red-and-white Crimson Guardian suit unfolded. Without hesitation, she rocketed into the night sky at super speed.

In Manhattan, chaos reigned. Firefighters and heroes scrambled to save civilians as the lava titan lumbered forward, spitting molten streams. "Get back!" someone shouted. The titan opened its gaping maw and unleashed a torrent of lava—only for it to clash against two blazing red beams of heat. "It's Crimson Guardian!" the crowd cried. "Get everyone clear! I'll handle this one!" Crimson Guardian ordered.

Her heat vision carved through the molten stream, pushing it back until she bored a hole through the titan's chest. She then rocketed forward, punching its head clean off—only for it to instantly regrow. The monster lunged, swallowing her whole. For a moment, the crowd gasped—then the titan convulsed. Crimson Guardian burst out of its back, molten sludge splattering off her invulnerable suit.

"Okay. That's not gonna work," she muttered, brushing ash off her shoulder. She dove underground, tunneling beneath the titan. With a roar, she heaved up the earth itself, hoisting the molten giant high into the air before dropping it into the Hudson River. Steam erupted as the creature screamed, thrashing until it cooled and hardened, petrified into stone.

Hovering above, Crimson Guardian lifted the displaced chunk of earth back into place, using her heat vision to seal the fissures like welding seams. "Thank you, Crimson Guardian!" the crowd shouted, relief flooding the streets. She gave a small nod, then shot off into the night sky, already vanishing into a streak of red and white.

The next day Sarah was at home, sunk deep into the couch in a slump when Linda walked in. "Sarah, where did you go last night?" Linda questioned, then her eyes caught the TV news showing footage of Crimson Guardian stopping a lava titan. "Oh. Well at least you had a hot night," Linda said with a teasing grin, seeing Sarah still unmoving.

"So, is that the guy you're fawning about? I'm surprised, because all through high school and college you were never interested in any guy. And you had a lot of thirsty guys after you," Linda said, sitting down next to her and fixing Sarah's bed hair. "Well… he's sweet, you know. And funny," Sarah admitted softly.

"Then it's time to be on the offensive. Let's get you dressed, it's your day off. So call him and invite him to lunch." "I don't have his—" Sarah stopped as Linda handed her a slip of paper with Brian's number. "I asked for it last night," Linda said proudly. "I can't just call him," Sarah muttered nervously. "Yes, you can." Linda was already dialing on the house phone. "Hey, is this Brian? This is Linda, Sarah's friend. Yeah, she's actually right here."

Sarah waved her hands frantically, shaking her head no, but Linda just smirked and pressed the receiver against Sarah. "Yeah, she actually wants to talk to you." "What do I say?!" Sarah whispered in panic. "Ask him to lunch," Linda whispered back. Sarah swallowed hard, taking the phone. "Hello?" "Yeah, this is Sarah. I was wondering if you want to go to lunch?" she asked, hearing a thump on the other end.

"Brian, you okay?" "Yeah… I would like to go… with you… I mean, to lunch," Brian stammered nervously. "Okay, see you at 2, at Gene & Georgetti?" Sarah asked. Brian quickly agreed, and both hung up. "Good job. Now let's get you into something casual. And—you need some protection," Linda said. "Protection? Did you forget I'm nearly invulnerable?" Sarah replied, standing up.

"Not that protection." Linda sighed. "Wait—can you even do it? I mean, with your powers… you'll crush him. I always wondered this." Sarah blinked, still confused. "I'll tell you when you get dressed," Linda muttered with a sigh. Meanwhile, in Miami… Gamma Radiant sat comfortably in a restaurant seat, reading the menu, while a group of girls screamed excitedly outside the window.

"I'm just too handsome, I guess," Gamma Radiant said, brushing his blonde hair back. "Mr. Gamma," the waitress stammered, blushing as she walked up. "Yeah, I'll have this and this," Gamma said, pointing casually at the menu before leaning in and kissing her cheek. She stumbled back, red-faced. Suddenly, outside in the water, the surface began swirling, pulling ships and boats under. A titan made entirely of water rose from the ocean, towering above the coastline. People screamed, swimming and running for their lives.

"Gamma Radiant, there's a monster!" a man shouted from the street. Gamma glanced up from his seat and sighed. "I'll handle this. Keep the food warm, babe." He stepped out of the restaurant, his body glowing green as a radiant aura surrounded him. Taking flight, he fired a searing green blast at the water titan, punching a hole through it. The water evaporated before the giant reformed.

"Okay big guy, let's see how you handle this," Gamma smirked. His glow intensified, and he conjured a massive sphere of energy, trapping the titan inside a glowing bubble. With a flick of his hand, the sphere pulsed, and the titan imploded into steam. "Perfect… and powerful," Gamma said with a satisfied grin before flying off into the sky.

Up in the sky, upon the marble peaks of Mount Olympus, Zeus stood tall at the edge of the throne hall, lightning crackling faintly around his frame as he gazed upon the mortal world. "Looks like the mortals have some impressive champions," Poseidon said, arms crossed, watching the vision of Crimson Guardian and Gamma Radiant tearing down titans.

"That's only two," Zeus replied coldly, his voice rumbling like distant thunder. "Send the rest of the titans. All at once." The other gods nodded in grim silence. Meanwhile… At Gene & Georgetti, Sarah sat nervously at a polished wooden table, dressed in casual but carefully chosen clothes. Brian sat across from her, straightening his jacket as he glanced at the menu.

"So… I actually never been in here before," Brian admitted with a nervous smile. "Really? Same," Sarah said, her voice soft. For a moment, silence lingered. The two fumbled with their menus, exchanging quick glances before both looked away. Then the waiter approached. "I'll have this," they both said at the same time, pointing at the exact same item.

Their eyes met, wide, before both broke into awkward, nervous laughter. At the same time, across the world… In the blazing desert of Egypt, the sand began to swirl violently, rising into a colossal tornado before shaping itself into a Titan of Sand. It tore through ancient pyramids with every step, roaring as its body shifted like a living storm.

A massive globe of water formed above it, crashing down, deforming its body—yet the titan reformed instantly. "Why is Olympus attacking again? Didn't they learn last time how annoying this was?" a fiery voice muttered. It was Blazefury, her wings alight with flame as she hovered above the chaos. Thunder cracked across the skies as storm clouds gathered. Bolts of lightning rained down, striking the sand titan repeatedly until its body hardened into brittle glass. With one final strike, it shattered into fragments.

"What could Zeus be after this time…?" Blazefury thought aloud, her brow furrowed. She tapped her earpiece. "Calling all members!" Static crackled—then a familiar voice came through. "I'm busy, I'll be late," Kazenwave said, grunting as the sound of explosions boomed in the background.

In California, a titan made of jagged rock rampaged through city streets. Kazenwave soared around it, his body glowing faintly as psychic blasts tore chunks off its stony form. He conjured massive chains of psychic energy, wrapping them around the giant and slamming it to the ground. "Let's see what you know," he said, placing his hand on the titan's craggy head.

The monster thrashed violently, but Kazenwave's eyes flared with energy. For a moment, visions flooded his mind—Olympus in ruins, gods struggling against four mysterious glowing figures before the vision abruptly shattered. "What…?" Kazenwave muttered, shaken. With a furious gesture, he crushed the titan's head telekinetically, reducing it to rubble.

Later, inside Later, inside Justice Headquarters… Blazefury and Kazenwave sat at the round table. "So… where's the rest?" Blazefury asked impatiently. "Crimson Guardian is finally on a date," Kazenwave said, eyes closed in meditation. "Gamma Radiant is being… a scumbag. Sonic… he's in the Velocity Veil. Can't sense him right now."

"Okay, but where's Queen—" Blazefury turned her head, pausing as Queen entered the chamber. Her armor was cracked. Her sword broken. Bruises covered her face and arms. She dropped into her seat, exhaling sharply. "Why is Zeus sending his titans to the mortal world again?" Queen asked bitterly.

"That's what I want to talk about," Kazenwave said, opening his eyes. "I scanned one of the titans' minds. I think Zeus wanted me to see something—a vision of a great calamity coming to Olympus." "Why should we care?" Queen scoffed. "You all know me and Olympus don't get along. Let it burn." "That'll be bad for the balance of the world," Blazefury cut in, folding her arms.

"Every force exists for a reason—good or bad. If Zeus or the other gods fall, the consequences will ripple into our world." Kazenwave sighed. "…So I guess we're doing this. But we'd better bring Crimson Guardian. No offense, but neither of us can take Zeus head-on just in case of this some kind of trap." "Humph," Queen grunted, tightening her grip on her broken sword.

At the gates of Mount Olympus, Crimson Guardian, Queen, and Kazenwave paused, taking in the colossal marble pillars and glowing halls. "I've always hated this place," Kazenwave muttered as he strode inside. "Let's play our cards right," Crimson Guardian said, her voice calm but firm. "No matter what they see, keep yourself composed, Queen. We don't want to start a war again."

"Well… we'll see," Queen replied, shoulders tense as they walked through the grand halls. Inside a vast chamber, the twelve gods sat on their thrones, each exuding power that made mortal eyes water. Kazenwave stepped forward toward Zeus, his expression serious. "Why are you sending titans to Earth? Are you planning to go to war again, Zeus?" he demanded. Zeus's gaze shifted to Crimson Guardian, a faint smile tugging at his lips. She frowned, confused by the attention.

"I need your help," Zeus said, his voice echoing like distant thunder. "There's a threat that could mean the end of us… but I guess you already knew that." "What kind of threat?" Crimson Guardian asked, eyes narrowing. "It's known as the God Killer," Poseidon interjected. "Nobody knows where it came from or what it actually is, other than it has killed gods before." Queen folded her arms, skeptical. "I still don't understand why you need us. Why not ask the other gods?"

Apollo's eyes locked on Queen, sharp and unwavering. "Just do it. Otherwise, not just Olympus, but all realms—and the mortal world—will fall." Crimson Guardian placed a calming hand on Queen's shoulder. "We'll help as much as we can. But stop sending the titans." Zeus descended slightly from his throne, a rare gesture of humility, while Hera let out a soft sigh.

"Thank you, Crimson Guardian. I mean it," Zeus said, reaching toward her hand. She stepped aside, walking away without acknowledgment. The three heroes followed her out through the gates. "That was a waste of time," Queen muttered as they landed outside. "I agree," Crimson Guardian said, "but I think Zeus is hiding something. Did you notice anything new?"

"No," Kazenwave replied, "he was blocking his thoughts… and everyone else's. But I'm already certain there's a threat." "All right. Share everything with the team," Crimson Guardian instructed, hovering above the ground before taking off at super speed. "Where are you going?" Queen asked. "I just gotta go somewhere," she replied, vanishing into a blur.

Queen turned to Kazenwave. "We should be training." "Don't worry," Kazenwave said casually, "she's fought that hammer guy before." "You mean Thor?" Queen's voice was tense. "This is something that can kill gods. If Zeus betrays us, we'll definitely need everyone at peak condition."
