Chapter 53 - FRACTURED LEGACY

Isabella woke, rubbing her eyes like a mischievous child, a faint giggle escaping her lips as she noticed Theodore still half-asleep, his golden eyes glimmering faintly in the morning light. A thought sparked in her mind—his little brother had come to meet her, the Luna of the Crescent Blood Pack, and she couldn't resist a little playful mischief.

With a sly grin, she scooped a bowl of water and flung it across the room, the cold splash hitting Theodore's face.

"Ah!" Theodore's roar shattered the quiet, his golden eyes snapping open, burning with a mix of surprise and fury. "Who—who did this?!"

Isabella's laughter rang out, light and teasing, as she stepped back, holding her hands behind her. Theodore's younger brother, a sharp-eyed boy named Lucian, stood frozen, bowl in hand.

"It—It was her, Theodore! Luna threw the water, and—she handed me the bowl!" Lucian stammered, his voice tinged with nervous awe.

Theodore's gaze snapped to Isabella, and the room seemed to shiver under his intensity. His jaw clenched, a low growl rumbling in his chest. "My little firestorm… you dare humiliate me in front of my brother?" His hands moved like lightning. He grabbed her wrist, bending it around her waist from behind, his other hand tangling into her hair.

"Don't ever—ever—dare to do that to me again," he whispered, his voice silk laced with steel, brushing against her ear. "Not in front of anyone… not even him."

Isabella froze, heart hammering, half from fear, half from the intoxicating intensity of his presence. Theodore's grip was possessive, unyielding, yet almost… protective in his own twisted way.

Lucian's small voice trembled. "Brother… she was only playing. She meant no harm."

Theodore's golden gaze softened for a fraction, just enough for Lucian to see, before the storm returned. "I don't care for harm or play. You are my firestorm, fragile yet untamable. Remember your place, and remember that no one—no one—touches me without consequence."

Isabella's chest rose and fell rapidly, the thrill of defiance mixing with fear. She could feel the heat of his body behind her, the power and control radiating from him like wildfire.

And in that moment, she knew—her life, her every action, was entirely within the orbit of Theodore's relentless, consuming gravity.
