After visiting Haru Abodo's old house, Taro decided to get stronger and upgrade both of his utilities and abilities. He found and grabbed a sword made of iron from his father's house. Then he headed back to the quest board, beginning his first adventure on this realm.
On his way, he began asking Enzo about several things.
"You mentioned that my father was the sixth legendary knight, who are they?" Taro asked.
"The legendary knights were knights who had been able to use glowing shields... just like you," Enzo responded. "Yet, your shield does not look as same as their shields."
"Do you know the reason?" Taro asked.
"I do not know, perhaps because your power was awakened, not genetic like the others." Enzo said.
"Right, you lent me your power," Taro replied.
"Not true, I do not use a shield," he disagreed. "Your illness stopped you."
"That's why you sacrificed yourself? Just to remove that disease?" Taro asked with a sad voice.
"It was nothing, there is no use in doubting yourself," Enzo comforted him.
A few minutes later, Taro arrived at the bar, finding nobody except bartenders and knights drinking beers.
Knights don't go finish their quests usually?Taro thought.
"They take a break for one week each month, this may be the reason," Enzo responded.
The moment Taro approached the board, a young knight approached as well.
"Are you picking a quest too?" That knight asked.
"Yeah, they look interesting," Taro answered.
"Do you want to team up together?" He asked. "The more members work together, the better rewards we can earn!"
"Sure, we can support each other," Taro said, smiling.
Then, Taro stared at the quests.
"What do you think about this?" Taro asked, pointing at a quest.
"This is hardest quest, we can never do this together only!" He responded.
"Ah, excuse me..." Taro apologized, "what about this?"
"W-Why don't we begin by picking the easiest one?" He suggested, sweating. "We don't get as much easier and suitable quests as these usually."
"Sounds like a plan, you're right!" Taro replied.
Then, they picked a quest with one star. They went to the bartender to sign off their quest, and exited the bar after. On their way, the young knight was asking Taro different questions.
"You don't seem to live around, are you new here?" He asked.
"Correct, I came from a different realm, but I'm an azure knight too." Taro responded.
"I noticed, that's why you don't dress like other knights," he said.
"Oh, pardon me!" He added, arms crossed. "The name is CaelAuren, pleasure to know you."
"I'm TaroAbodo, nice to meet you, Cael!" He replied.
Before they could leave, Cael went to get his sword and shield from his house, letting Taro left waiting.
Meanwhile in Abodo's house, Ema began teaching Yukiko how to hold tools and pans. In addition to showing how to place ingredients carefully, such as eggs, flour, sugar and salt, oil, and more.
One hour later, they took a break, drinking a cup of tea. Then suddenly, Ema's senses went wild, a sign of something dangerous appeared.
"Yukiko, a portal showed up!" She shouted.
"Sonna!" After four months?!" Yukiko replied, shocked.
"I can't detect Vincy anywhere, where is he now?" Ema said, putting her hand near her forehead.
"Yukiko, you go first!" Ema added. "I have to get back home to prepare myself. Just be careful, this one is not normal!"
Instantly, Yukiko cast her equip spell to change her outfit, rushing to the exact place Ema described. Meanwhile, the other girl went back to her house quickly, preparing herself for the raid.
Yukiko arrived, and she found nobody except one big, muscled figure. It was Obsidian, one of the three Dark Lords Armageddon summoned to spread chaos in Brookhaven, and getting rid of Enzo at the same time.
Yukiko felt a huge amount of power and energy coming from him. She prepared her dual katanas, rushing forward to slash him. His muscles grew suddenly, then he could stop her katanas with his bare hands. Yukiko kept pushing her katanas, then she started spinning with them, cutting both of his arms.
After that, she jumped backwards... and she was shocked the moment his arms returned normally.
"You fool! Even if you cut my arms, I can grow more easily!" He shouted, laughing.
Another talking creature, this might even be harder, Yukiko thought, pissed.
Again and again, she kept swinging with her katanas, cutting his arms and even his legs many times. Yet, nothing succeeded. She started aiming at his head, but her weapon went through his face. She even began using her rope, trying to bind him.
However, he grabbed the rope and pulled it tightly. Right before he could punch her, a light arrow cut off both his hands at the perfect moment, letting Yukiko escape from this situation.
Ema joined Yukiko, and kept shooting her arrows around all his body. Until a few minutes later, nothing could hurt him at all. Ema stopped shooting suddenly, waiting for her cooldown to refresh again. She could only shoot the light arrows with the energy coming from her necklace.
Ema tried to think of a better plan, then grabbed her daggers out of her belt.
"Yukiko, let's do it together!" She shouted.
Both of them rushed, stabbing in different areas at the same time. After many stabs and slashes, they jumped back, shocked of how all the holes on his body retreated easily.
"Dame da, nothing works!" Yukiko shouted.
"How is that even possible?" Ema asked, confused.
Obsidian started cracking his fists, laughing hysterically.
"Now you weaklings, it's my turn!" He roared.
In the Azure Kingdom, after fifteen minutes of waiting, Cael returned with his shield and his sword. It was made of bronze, yet it wasn't very sharp.
"Sorry for taking too long, I'm still an amateur," he said.
"No problem, I appreciate that," Taro responded.
"Oh right, before we step out," Taro added, "keep in mind I won't be able to speak at all."
"What? Why not?" Cael asked.
"You could say... I'm cursed," Taro said, smiling.
"Umm, alright then..." Cael replied, confused.
After two hours of walking, they finally reached their destination. There were lots of rabbits with white and brown fur.
Rabbits? Are these what we should eliminate? Taro thought, confused.
"Look carefully..." Enzo said suddenly.
These rabbits weren't normal as it looked. They had red eyes and sharp fangs.
"There goes, let's deal with those rabbits!" Cael shouted, rushing forward.
Taro tried to warn Cael, yet he was late. As soon as the rabbits saw him, they jumped toward Cael, trying to bite him. He used his shield to block, slashing with other hand. Taro jumped in, helping him and covering his back.
Back to Brookhaven, Yukiko and Ema kept dodging Obsidian's incoming punches. Yukiko kept using her ropes the moment Ema distracted him. It wasn't effective, just as a distraction trick until they find a better solution.
Then suddenly, Obsidian stood still, and a huge dark energy charged from him. Eventually, he smashed the ground with both of his hands, creating an electromagnetic quake stunning both of Ema and Yukiko. Instantly, he rushed toward them, punching them at their chest. They tried blocking with their hands, yet the powerful smash sent them away, knocking them on the ground.
Right before he could put any step forward, a fireball was shot from behind. It was Vincy, approaching with a killer stare.
"What... do you think you're doing...?" Vincy said quietly, with a scary expression on his face. "Punching women like that... such a slob...!"
Then suddenly, his eyes started glowing with flames, flickering his hands with flames.
Obsidian turned around slowly, grinning.
"Another weakling... this is getting exciting!" He said, clenching his fists.
Vincy immediately blasted a huge fireball. Still, it didn't hurt Obsidian.
"Tsk, fire resistance..." Vincy snapped, pissed.
"Not just fire, Vincy! He is resistant to everything," Ema shouted.
"Everything?! That doesn't make any sense!" Vincy exclaimed while dodging Obsidian's punches.
"Just try figuring his critical area!" Yukiko shouted.
"Easier said than done!" Vincy replied, keeping dodging.
Then instantly, he crouched and smashed Obsidian's chest hard.
"I think I found it!" Vincy shouted, grinning.
Immediately, he started punching one by one toward the same area, until he pushed him away with his last punch.
"Tsk, my punches aren't very efficient," Vincy snapped.
Suddenly, Obsidian charged up once more, but two arms grew under the others.
"Am I fighting a spider now?!" Vincy shouted.
"Be careful, Vincy," Ema warned, "this phase is much worse."
Vincy rushed toward him, raising his arm to smash once more. Obsidian stopped his incoming punch with one of his arms. Vincy raised his other hand, yet he stopped it as well. Then, Obsidian started punching Vincy's face with his two new hands. One by one, Vincy remained at his same position, until Obsidian targeted his stomach.
Instantly, Vincy was knocked backward onto his face.
"Vincy! Hang in there!" Ema shouted.
He stood on his own, wiping the blood off his face.
"Guh, this is very annoying!" Vincy snapped.
"I can't use my bow, my necklace needs much longer," she replied.
"Just stay back, it's not going to work anyway," he said.
The moment Vincy stood up, he heard a voice from behind:
"You fool, what are you doing?!"
Vincy turned around, finding Zara transparent.
"Zara...? I don't have time for this... I must–" Vincy said.
"Idiot! Why aren't you using your power?!" She interrupted.
"I tried, but he is resistant to my flames!" Vincy responded.
"Not this! Fire is just your secondary power, use your main power!" Zara replied.
"Main?! What are you talking about?!" He exclaimed.
The moment Zara mentioned it and how to use it, Vincy grinned. Then instantly, he smashed both of his fists together, creating a massive energy. Immediately, he said:
"Time to get serious!"
