The Seven's conference room is located on the 99th floor, the top floor of Vought International. Inside the enormous circular conference room, the first thing that catches the eye is a large round table with seven seats, each reserved for a member of The Seven.

Around the circular walls of the conference room, a ring of display screens shows various data, mostly about criminals, and a small portion about news and current events.

Starlight, visiting The Seven's conference room for the first time, was visibly excited.

This was also Kevin's first visit since his transmigration, but after seeing it, he found it nothing special. Only a girl like Starlight, who dreamed of joining The Seven, would be thrilled to be here.

Well, and then in the original story, this dream-filled girl had her dreams shattered here by The Deep.

But what does The Deep's actions have to do with me, Kevin?

Anyway… Starlight isn't my type.

Kevin thought, giving Starlight a brief introduction to the functions of the room's facilities, then sat down in his seat to slack off.

"Alright, that's about it. You can figure out the rest yourself. I'm going to rest for a bit."

"Uh… okay…"

Kevin's attitude changed drastically, making Starlight feel like he instantly transformed from a relatively reliable senior to a slacker old-timer in the company.

This contrast made Starlight feel a slight sense of her idol's halo shattering.

Kevin, however, didn't think that much. He just waited for Starlight to compose herself so he could get off work and test his abilities.

By the way, he specifically asked for a phone charger when leaving the meeting room, so now he could play on his phone.

Kevin originally didn't want to bother with Starlight; the female protagonist's feelings in the original plot were none of his business.

But glancing at Starlight inadvertently, he noticed a sparkle in her eyes, as if… tears were welling up.

Kevin: "?"

Hold on a minute! I didn't bully you, why are you crying, you damn girl?!

Are you trying to extort me?! Extort me!?

Recalling how The Deep was disgraced in the original plot for harassing Starlight, Kevin felt a little panicked. He quickly asked Starlight:

"Uh, are you okay? Um… if you're not feeling well, do you want to go back and rest first?"

"Ah? Oh, no, I'm just… just a little excited. I didn't expect… that I would actually be standing here. It feels… like a dream…"

Starlight explained.

Kevin scrutinized her, and seeing that she didn't seem to be lying, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

So it was just a young girl's sentimentality… In that case, it's fine.

Kevin immediately put his mind at ease, picked up his phone again, and said to Starlight:

"Everyone feels the same when they first come here. But, after a while, you'll realize that this place is nothing special, and The Seven isn't as… great as you imagine."

"Uh… thanks for the comfort?"

"I'm not comforting you. Never mind, think whatever you want. If you've seen enough here, let's just get off work. It's getting late."

After only a few words with Starlight, Kevin checked the time, intending to leave work directly.

Starlight turned to look at him, a belly full of words stuck in her mouth. In the end, she said nothing, nodded, and remained silent, staying aside to examine the various pieces of equipment in the conference room.

Kevin knew what Starlight wanted; it was nothing more than seeking some job experience from him, her 'senior,' like the comforting words The Deep said to Starlight in the original plot.

But Kevin had no time to cultivate a relationship with Starlight. Not leaving work when it was time was simply foolish.

It was already late at night, and Kevin had no plans afterward. He certainly didn't want to stay in the company with Starlight and work overtime with her.

Estimating the time, Kevin didn't linger too long. He greeted Starlight and took his leave.

Today, besides guiding Starlight, he had no other work, unlike other heroes who had activities to do late at night.

Kevin's work today was quite relaxed, and after finishing, he could go straight home.

Punching out and leaving the Vought International building was a seamless process. After work, Kevin first removed the beard glued to his chin and threw it into the trash can, then drove straight to the seaside.

The skill points he had just acquired this morning hadn't been properly tested before Madelyn called him in for work. Now that he finally had time to experiment, Kevin was determined to understand his abilities first.

Parking his car in a spot by the sea, Kevin found a high point, took a deep breath, and leaped down, diving into the ocean like a fish.

The moment he entered the seawater, Kevin instinctively held his breath, but after a moment, he realized he didn't need to and relaxed his breathing.

Seawater surged into his nostrils, but unexpectedly, there was no discomfort. Cool air was filtered by a special organ, smoothly entering his lungs and providing Kevin with oxygen. Floating deep in the seawater, Kevin felt a wonderfully strange sensation.

"I can really breathe, and I can talk… It's just, my voice sounds a bit strange."

Underwater, Kevin tentatively opened his mouth and spoke a sentence.

The seawater entering his mouth felt odd, but Kevin could tolerate it. However, if possible, Kevin didn't want to talk underwater in the future.

It was a bit uncomfortable.

Underwater breathing was not an issue, so Kevin tried to control water currents underwater.

Perhaps because he was deep in the ocean, Kevin felt that his hydrokinesis ability had greatly improved. Not only did the range of control and the weight of the water increase, but the water arrows, which originally only had the power of a crossbow bolt, now had the power of a large-caliber handgun underwater.

The water spheres were even larger, capable of independently creating a space completely devoid of water.

Yes, just like Mera did in the movie "Aquaman."

However, the space he created wasn't as large as Mera's; it could barely fit two people.

Additionally, perhaps due to the enhancement of his supe physique, Kevin's swimming speed underwater was also much faster than before.

The Supe Physique skill seemed to encompass all basic abilities of strength, defense, constitution, and speed, with each level-up providing a comprehensive improvement.

If Kevin's physique was considered average among all supes before, it was undoubtedly high-level now.

While not comparable to Homelander or Maeve's supe physique, it was still a significant improvement.

Overall, after adding skill points, Kevin's strength had increased by more than just a notch. He should no longer be the weakest among The Seven.

"Oh, right, and the ability to talk to aquatic creatures…"

After experimenting with his basic abilities, Kevin began to search for fish around him.

With his [Aquatic Affinity], many fish had already gathered around him, circling him as if they considered Kevin their leader.

When Kevin tentatively tried to communicate with them, he only received simple, repetitive information.

For example, simple messages like 'hungry, hungry,' 'follow along,' 'sleep,' and so on.

There wasn't a single complete sentence, and it was impossible to establish any effective communication.

Kevin couldn't understand how the original Deep could consider these fish his friends with such a limited level of communication.

Leaving aside intelligent dolphins, aquatic creatures like lobsters probably didn't have much intelligence. Considering them friends was already strange, but seeing them as lovers was even more incomprehensible.

"Ultimately, The Deep was just too starved for affection, the poor kid."

Kevin finally concluded that it was probably because The Deep had been so starved for affection and too insecure, feeling that only with aquatic creatures could he feel at ease. That's why he indiscriminately treated all aquatic creatures as friends.

Even as lovers.

Kevin could understand, but he couldn't accept it.

His sexual orientation was still normal; he liked pretty girls with breasts and butts, not interspecies creatures.

Uh… mythical mermaids excluded…

"So now, the last question is, how do I get skill points?"

Having already experienced the power of his golden finger and upgraded his skills, Kevin began to seriously consider how to acquire skill points.

The skill points given to him initially were probably a beginner's bonus or something similar.

Kevin enjoyed using them, but he had no idea how to obtain more skill points.

This golden finger didn't even come with an instruction manual, nor a helpful system AI to explain its functions, leaving Kevin to figure it out on his own.

After much thought, Kevin still couldn't figure out how to get skill points.

And just then, faint cries for help, carried by the current, reached Kevin's ears.

Kevin's heart stirred, and he looked up towards the source of the cries.
