One week was enough to change the atmosphere around Michael and Silas.
Nothing dramatic happened on the first day. There was no public announcement, no arrest outside the two men already in custody, and no sudden headline telling the world that a hidden network had been uncovered.
Instead, people started asking questions.
The police continued working through the criminal evidence Dayo had submitted. The IRS had its own teams going through the financial records, company structures, transactions, and communications. Banks and financial institutions received the material connected to their own accounts and began their internal reviews.
Nobody accepted everything immediately.
They had to confirm it.
That was the difference between the first few days and the week that followed.
