Chapter 8 - CHAPTER 7 THE TWO DEMONS PART 2

SCHOOL ARC

WITH AUGUST ADAM AND LIANA VS SMART ONE

he room was heavy with tension as Adam, August, and Liana stared down the smart demon, once the third punk. Its glowing red eyes gleamed with cruel intelligence as it hunched low, claws scraping against the floor.

Then, without warning— it charged.

"Move!" Adam yelled, rolling aside as the demon slashed, its claws slicing through the wood where his chest had been seconds earlier.

August's flames flared to life as she countered, hurling a fireball that seared across the room — but the demon twisted midair, dodging effortlessly.

"Too slow," it hissed, tail lashing as it struck.

Adam swung his staff, aiming for its head, but the demon snatched it mid-swing, snapping it in half like a twig. The creature shoved both Adam and August aside like rag dolls before lunging at Liana.

"NO!" she cried, summoning an icy-blue barrier just in time. The demon's teeth slammed against the shield, sparking and cracking it, but not breaking through.

The creature hissed in frustration. "What… is this…?"

"Magic you'll never understand," Liana said, her voice trembling but steady. "Jimmy's fighting the strong one… and we three can barely handle you."

The demon tilted its head, a sick grin stretching across its face. "Weak prey. You won't last."

WHAM!

A glowing fist slammed into its jaw, sending the demon crashing into the far wall.

"That's for calling me weak!" August shouted, smoke curling from her clenched fists.

The demon roared, shaking the walls, then launched itself forward again with terrifying speed.

JIMMY VS STRONG ONE

Debris rained from the rooftop as the strong demon — Punk #2 — emerged from the wreckage, claws glowing with corrupted energy.

Jimmy tightened his scarf, flames flickering faintly around his knuckles.

"You will fall," the demon growled, its voice warped and guttural.

Jimmy smirked. "No thanks."

They clashed in an explosion of force, fists meeting with enough power to rattle the roof.

The demon swiped with a hooked claw; Jimmy ducked, pivoting sharply, and drove a kick into the creature's ribs, sending it skidding across the tiles.

It snarled, slashing again. Jimmy flipped back, landing lightly on his feet as frost began to swirl around his hands.

"Ice Gatling," he muttered.

A barrage of razor-sharp ice bullets erupted from his palms, tearing through the demon's flesh. The monster roared in agony, but instead of falling, it lunged forward, unrelenting.

Jimmy braced for impact — but too late.

CRASH!

The demon slammed into him with brute force, tackling him through the weakened roof. They plummeted through the rafters and into the cafeteria below, landing in a shower of splintered wood and shattered glass.

ADAM LIANA AND AUGUST VS SMART ONE

The roar of battle outside shook the dorm as the smart demon grew more aggressive. Its movements became sharper, more precise — every strike calculated.

With a guttural snarl, it slammed a shockwave into the floor, knocking all three students sprawling.

August gritted her teeth, launching another torrent of fire, but the demon cut through it with a flick of its claws.

Adam, blood running from a fresh gash along his arm, stumbled back, his chinchila screeching in alarm. "Dammit… he's too fast—"

"Stay down!" Liana shouted, summoning another barrier as the demon leapt toward her. The shield barely held. She poured every ounce of her energy into reinforcing it.

August raised her hands, water swirling as she attempted a containment orb. For a moment, the demon was trapped in the sphere — but with a guttural roar, it exploded outward, blasting them all into the walls.

WITH TEACHERS

The blast shook the dorm building, alarms flaring instantly.

Faculty sprinted through the corridors, magic at the ready. When they burst into the hallway, they found the room in chaos — students battered, the demon poised to strike again.

"Move in!" a teacher shouted.

"No," Headmaster Varion ordered sharply, his voice cutting through the noise. His eyes stayed locked on the three battered students still standing. "This is their fight."

"But sir—" another teacher protested. "Our job is to protect them—"

"And we will," Varion said grimly. "But if they can't survive this… they are not ready to be called heroes."

Another instructor frowned. "Sir… wasn't there supposed to be two demons?"

Varion's eyes darkened. "Yes. Where is the other—"

JIMMY VS STRONG ONE

The cafeteria was a ruin. Tables shattered, tiles cracked, food scattered everywhere.

Jimmy rose to his feet slowly, blood running down his cheek as his brown eyes locked on the towering demon across from him.

It snarled, stepping forward. "You're holding back."

Jimmy wiped the blood from his mouth, a dangerous glint flashing in his gaze. "That's right."

The demon lunged.

Jimmy twisted sharply, grabbing its arm mid-swipe. With brutal precision, he wrenched it behind its back, forcing the creature to its knees.

His fist ignited in a blaze of heat.

"Burn."

BOOM!

His flaming punch connected with the demon's face, sending it flying across the room and through a wall of tables.

The creature rose slowly, shaking off the attack, eyes glowing hotter with rage.

"Your friends," it hissed, teeth bared in a bloodthirsty grin, "will make a tasty meal."

Jimmy's expression hardened. His scarf fluttered as flames coiled around him, hotter and brighter than before.

"Over my dead body," he growled.

The demon grinned wider. "That," it said, "can be arranged."

The cafeteria was a battlefield, its walls cracked, lights flickering from the sheer force of the clash.

Jimmy's fists flared with twin auras — blue flames licking one hand, icy mist swirling around the other. His scarf whipped in the heated wind as he darted forward.

"Fire and ice…" the demon growled, claws scraping the floor as sparks shot upward. "Interesting."

"Not as interesting as what comes next," Jimmy snapped.

They collided.

BOOM!

Fire and ice clashed against demonic flesh, the air warping from the shockwaves. Jimmy's strikes were relentless — a right hook blazing hot, a spinning kick sharp as frozen steel — but the demon absorbed the punishment, answering with heavy, bone-shaking blows that forced Jimmy back step by step.

"You can't win," the demon snarled, teeth bared. "You're strong… but not strong enough."

ADAM AUGUST LIANA VS SMART ONE

Upstairs, chaos reigned. Adam, August, and Liana fought desperately, but the smart demon was faster, sharper, and terrifyingly precise.

Adam swung his broken staff like a club, forcing the demon to dodge, while August launched waves of flame to keep it at bay.

"This thing just won't quit!" August growled, sweat dripping down her forehead.

"It's reading our movements," Adam panted. "Every attack, it's—"

BOOM!

The floor exploded beneath their feet. Screams filled the dorm hall as the trio plummeted through the crumbling structure, crashing hard into the cafeteria below. Dust and debris rained everywhere, the floor trembling as another shockwave rippled outward.

Jimmy barely had time to glance up as the others fell from above, hitting the floor with painful thuds.

"Great," he muttered, dodging another swipe from the strong demon. "Now you're all here."

Adam groaned, clutching his bruised shoulder as he struggled to stand. "We… didn't exactly have a choice…"

The smart demon landed gracefully nearby, its glowing claws glinting under the shattered lights. It hissed, eyes narrowing at its prey.

The strong demon chuckled darkly, stepping forward beside its ally. "Perfect. More meat."

"Stay behind me," Jimmy barked, eyes sharp.

But before he could move, August ignited her fists, flames roaring to life as she stepped up beside him.

"No way," she said, her voice steady despite the tremor in her hands. "We fight. Together."

Adam staggered forward too, staff pieces gripped tightly in his hands, while Liana planted herself at their backs, ice magic swirling protectively around her like a living shield.

The demons lunged simultaneously.

CRASH!

The cafeteria exploded with chaos.

Adam swung hard, forcing the smart demon to duck, but its tail lashed out, knocking him sideways. August dove in, her flaming fists slamming into its ribs, only to be backhanded into the nearest wall.

"August!" Adam shouted, but a blur of claws came for him — stopped only by a flash of icy light as Liana's shield absorbed the blow.

"Focus!" she yelled, sweat dripping down her face. "I can't protect all of you forever!"

Across the room, Jimmy traded blows with the strong demon, his fire and ice magic clashing violently against the creature's corrupted energy. Every strike shook the walls, every impact echoing like thunder.

"You're done," the demon growled, slamming a fist into Jimmy's side and sending him sliding across the cracked tiles.

Jimmy coughed, wiping blood from his lip, and smirked darkly. "Not… yet."

He surged forward, flames and frost spiraling together, his power spiking higher than before.
