Max finally calmed down n started walking the stable area of the village as he wanted to get a ride on the wagon that goes to nearby town. He walked up to a man he knew n told him about how his grandpa had died n then asked about the fair but the man rejected the fair and agreed to take him to the town free of charge as he was going there anyway. There was still a bit of time before leaving to Max sat on a stool nearby and decided to check his system.
"Hello, are you there… System?"
System-"Yes Max. next you when you need the system tab you can ask for status or just even think it in your mind and you tab will open and the system will keep adapting to your situation as you grow so will the system. Just remember the limit is your imagination." And with that the voice stopped.
Max heard this voice in his head and then a transparent green screen opened up infront of him.

"oh so it's like those manga or novel systems I used to read about, but this doesn't seem that impressive, I just have a few stats and no skills or anything." Max thought to himself but realized soon that he was level 1 and this was just the start and will probably grow n look better as he learns about the world and tries new things.
Max-"I can't really do anything else with the other stuff let's try this"
He thought picked up a stone from the ground and thought about moving it to inventory and just then the stone disappeared from his hand.
Max then opened the inventory tab and saw the stone was there as an icon, he clicked on it and the stone appeared back in his hand. He put the stone in inventory again and this time just thought about getting the stone out and just like that the stone appeared back in his hand.
This was an amazing function in itself and max had heard about magic storage rings and other items and the space they had what excited him was his inventory didn't mention any space restriction or size restriction making him think maybe its infinite.
A while later the cart wagon driver came out and told Max they are ready to leave and max picked up his luggage and couldn't put it in inventory because other people had already seen him carry it and they would wonder where it went. He climbed the cart and sat inside as they started moving. It was peaceful journey of around 3 hours by cart as they approached the town wall the guards were checking ids. The cart driver showed his id and realized Max never left the village before so he doesn't have an id. He told that to the guard and the guard asked max to come with him to get his id.
They went to the security room next to the wall and there was stone tablet placed on a podium. The guard asked max to place his hand on the podium. The cart driver had asked max to follow the lead of the guard so Max wasn't afraid and did as the guard asked. As he put his hand on it a hologram appeared in the air above the tablet. Which showed his age and that he had no criminal record.
Then the guard took down the info on a card which displayed Max's name, age, race and his residence location was now being displayed which was the name of this town, Fairfield. As max was originally from a small village but for id he needed the name of a town where he got registered. It was now after seeing his id card he was learning the he was a resident of Flameheart Empire and he was in the town Fairfield.
Guard-"that will be 5 coppers for your id, don't lose it or it will cost you more the next time"
Max payed the guard and now was left with 5 silver coins and 45 copper coins. When he was growing up his grandpa had taught him the world currency system which was as follows;
100 copper coins = 1 silver coin
100 silver coins = 1 gold coin
100 gold coins = 1 platinum coin
100 platinum coins= 1 royal coin
The denominations were named this way but they weren't actually totally made of these metals as mentioned they were mixture of various metals made into the shape of coins and given the color of gold, silver and copper.
After taking his id he went out and said his goodbyes to the cart wagon driver and they went their separate ways. This was his first time in a town and he was seeing the buildings and shops properly built not like small huts n homes in the village, these buildings looked like medieval age earth building mostly made of stone and some other materials. Looking around Max reached an inn which was also a local bar, he went inside and past a couple of table where people were drinking and eating.
He approached what you would call a receptionist or a host and greeted him.
Max-"Hello mister, how much do you charge to stay in a room for a night?"
Host-"hey there young one, looking for a place to stay huh? Let's see, a simple room is 20 coppers a night, if we add one time food it will be 25 and if you need a room with bath facilities it will 50 coppers."
Max-"with just adding bath facilities the rate doubles?"
Host-"well not everyone can afford that and those rooms aren't as common so the price goes high but you can take simple room n do your business in the outside shared bathrooms like most people do."
Max thought for second.
Max-"I will take the room with the bath, here is one silver for now, I will stay 2 nights for now"
Host-"more than happy to have you dear customer"
He said with a smile as he took the silver coin n asked a waitress to show Max his room, it was and girl in her 20s, she lead max upstairs to his room and asked if would like his food in the room or downstairs and max choose downstairs option and said he will come down later.
After he closed the door Max put down his luggage and removed his clothes as he went to bath and was impressed it was actually a proper washroom with a mirror and washbasin and a toilet an bath tub and all and then he realized the price wasn't too much as he usually went in forest in open areas n realized this toilet was actually somewhat modern system design.
Max took a bath and saw his body in the mirror, he remembered his previous life body which wasn't anything special just an average body, but now even at 16 he was almost 6ft tall, well built athletic body toned muscles and abs and this was the first time he realized in the forest he did a lot of work by himself basically training his body from the start.
He had black unruly hair, not too short or long either. As he was getting dressed and sat on his bed..

Max was elated that he finally got a skill, then he read the description and wanted to test it how it actually worked so he just looked at around and before even using the skill he was surprised to see an actual clock on the wall and by the looks and format it looked like normal clocks on earth but instead it was powered by a small magic stone instead of a battery. This was his first time seeing one in this world and he realized the world isn't that behind in tech as he thought and they probably have more things he doesn't know about since there was nothing like this in the city.
He then looked at the clock and just thought about using his skill and then the info tab appeared infront of him.
