Hazel's POV
It reminded me of Liam whenever he was pissed, and I subconsciously took a step back in utter fear. He got to me and held my arm with a tight grip. "If you're thinking of going there to resolve this, then don't bother. I'll be the one to make that sacrifice, and I'll handle it by myself. Don't include yourself with anything that concerns the kingdom," he said solemnly, and his gruff voice made me tremble.
What was he trying to say? I felt like he was indirectly saying that I wasn't capable of it. Liam always made me feel that way. Like I was unimportant and incapable. He must be thinking the same.
That look in his eyes. I couldn't stand it because it looked exactly like Liam's. I took steps back in fear and when he tried to come closer, I flinched back and his face hardened even more.
