Chapter 186 - “You’re Too Weak, Nagato”

Chapter 186 – "You're Too Weak, Nagato"

"Almighty Push—"

A shockwave erupted from Nagato's body, far more devastating than anything he had unleashed before. The earth trembled. Wind howled. The sheer force of repulsion threatened to obliterate everything in its path.

But Hatake Yusuke… merely sighed inwardly.

"I guess I expected too much from you, Nagato. Half-baked will always be half-baked."

Even compared to the reincarnated Indra via Edo Tensei, Nagato's strength was leagues below what Yusuke considered threatening.

With that thought, Yusuke calmly reached for the blindfold covering his eyes and slid it off. His gaze locked onto Nagato.

Chakra began gathering in both of his hands, silent and steady.

"Kura—"

Suddenly, a powerful gravitational pull radiated from Yusuke's body. It collided with and completely nullified Nagato's Shinra Tensei.

"What… What just happened?" Nagato's eyes widened in disbelief.

He hadn't gone all-out, but the shockwave should've been enough to crush even elite shinobi. And yet… Yusuke didn't just block it—he erased it.

"Oh? Is that all?" Yusuke smiled thinly. "So this is the 'divine' power you're so proud of?"

He let out a quiet chuckle. "Well then… I suppose it's time I played a little dirty."

"Awaken: Frozen Apocalypse."

The falling rain began to change—first to ice pellets, and then, as the temperature plunged, snowflakes danced across the sky.

In an instant, the entire battlefield was transformed into a frozen wasteland.

"No way…" Pain muttered from above, his Rinnegan scanning the vast field below.

Everything had turned to ice in seconds.

The Akatsuki members quickly leapt to higher ground to avoid the sudden climate shift. Deidara summoned his giant clay bird and flew up, observing the battlefield with wary eyes.

He glanced at Yusuke… then at Pain… and mumbled to himself, "So, which one of them is the real god here?"

"This," Yusuke said softly, lifting one arm as the snow and ice began to swirl around him, "is what I call a proper battlefield."

He didn't even need the weather advantage to win—but for what he planned next, this environment would enhance his technique to perfection.

"Frozen Domain."

An invisible wave of chakra surged out from Yusuke, drawing in the cold around him.

His body temperature spiked, synchronizing with the chilling energy as his control over the ice intensified dramatically.

Nagato stared at Yusuke, breath caught in his throat. Even after all these years… he's still this powerful.

"…Fine then," Pain murmured. "Let's try this."

"Planetary Devastation!"

He formed a hand seal. A glowing sphere of gravity began forming between his palms, pulling in debris and matter from the surrounding terrain.

No… don't do it, Nagato. Konan clutched her chest, silently pleading. She dared not speak aloud—if the others realized how weakened Nagato had become, betrayal might follow.

"You're still struggling?" Yusuke's voice echoed beside Nagato's ear.

He had appeared right beside him—soundlessly.

A cold mist clung to Yusuke's figure, instantly freezing the space around the Rinnegan wielder.

"It's useless. In this temperature, your chakra flow is already paralyzed. Below absolute zero, everything freezes."

His tone was calm. Icy. Final.

"My ice doesn't just freeze—it absorbs chakra from its target to deepen the cold. Think of it as the cold equivalent of Wood Release."

"What… What do you even want?" Konan stepped forward, anger in her voice and eyes.

Yusuke glanced at her. "Nothing much. Just came to visit an old acquaintance," he said with a shrug. "Besides, they're the ones who made the first move."

"Can you release him?" Konan asked quietly, her gaze flicking to Nagato.

"Sure."

Yusuke gave a faint smile and withdrew the frost from Nagato's body.

"That enough for you? Or do you still want to keep going, Nagato?"

Pain stared at him, then asked coldly, "What are you after, Hatake Yusuke?"

"I told you. Just here to see a few familiar faces."

Without elaborating, Yusuke reached into his pocket. Before Nagato could react, he gently hooked a small object onto the front of Pain's cloak.

Then, without a word, he turned and walked toward Itachi.

"This is for you."

He handed a wrapped bundle to Uchiha Itachi. The younger man sniffed it, and a familiar scent reached his nose.

Konoha's famous sweets.

"…Thanks, Yusuke-nii," Itachi whispered, carefully hiding the package so the others wouldn't see.

"I wasn't sure what you guys liked, so I didn't bring much," Yusuke chuckled. "Sorry to the rest of you—guess you missed out."

No one responded.

Silence filled the air. They had just witnessed their so-called "god" be completely overwhelmed.

Even Hidan, who had just regained his senses, didn't dare shout like usual. He just stared at Yusuke with a mix of fear and hate.

"Oh, and by the way… Uzumaki Naruto is my nephew."

Yusuke's voice was soft, but it carried a quiet, deadly weight.

"As long as his life isn't threatened, do whatever you want. But if any of you even think about trying to kill him…"

"…the only result will be death."

Everyone understood.

"Konan. Take me to Nagato. Speaking through puppets like this is rude."

Konan looked at Pain. He nodded slightly.

"…Alright. Follow me."

Paper wings unfurled from her back. She took off into the sky, and Yusuke levitated beside her using his Float-Float Fruit ability.

They arrived at a massive tree made of paper. Konan created an opening, and the two entered.

Inside was the true Nagato—red-haired, frail, his body pinned with chakra receivers and supported by machines.

"…You look pathetic, Nagato," Yusuke said casually, though there was a bite in his tone.

Nagato coughed harshly. "Khak… So you came just to mock me?"

"Of course not. I came here for Konan and Itachi."

He smiled.

Konan turned slightly pink. Her heart skipped a beat.

"…Uchiha Itachi? That traitor? And you, a shinobi of Konoha, came here just to see him?"

"You think I judge people by where they're from?" Yusuke replied flatly. "He's my student. Whether or not he's part of Konoha doesn't change that."

Nagato fell silent, clearly taken aback.

"You go on and on about peace," Yusuke continued, "yet you don't even trust people. How can you speak of peace when your world is divided by borders?"

"And you… You think you understand pain?" Nagato hissed. "Someone who's never suffered has no right to speak about this!"

"Oh, I don't?" Yusuke narrowed his eyes. "The pain you cling to… is just your excuse for weakness. You weren't strong enough to protect the people you loved. Yahiko died… didn't he?"

Nagato's fists clenched. That name—Yahiko—was a wound that never healed.

"Angry? Frustrated?" Yusuke stepped closer. "But what can you do? Even if I killed Konan right here and now, you wouldn't be able to stop me."

Nagato's face contorted with rage. His Rinnegan glowed with hatred.

"Don't think… I can't fight back."
